After being "the husband" for the first time and coming back here in my late 20s, not much has changed--except the faces of the employees. The vibe, though? Still absolutely top tier. Hanging out on the rooftop was such a great experience. It's the perfect spot for people-watching, and we met some really great people along the way. The staff was super attentive and always made sure our glasses were full, and the prices honestly weren't bad at all. We enjoyed it so much that we made it a point to come back multiple times during this trip, and it was well worth it every time. La Noche is giving me "LA" vibes. We came here on a Tuesday night around 10pm. The first floor is the dance club. There was a drag performance but not many people there yet. So we went upstairs to the outdoor bar / lounge area. We were a group of 12 and there was a cushioned corner for us that fit all of us. We loved the open air concept with plants all around. La Noche aka The Night is a cool space with super nightclub energy (especially when you first enter). The drinks are reasonable, but unlike Mr. Flamingos and a few other places they do charge a cover to get in on most nights. It's multileveled which can be fun especially with great music, dancers and drag performers in abundance. People are pretty friendly here, but not the most welcoming to everyone. They were pretty nice to us, just a touch rude to another group of patrons from what I saw while we were here - at least at the door. The bartenders are fun. The music is epic. High energy. Outside patio area is gorgeous. We didn't stay here long at all. We just didn't vibe with this hot spot as much as other places, but still a great place. And overall (at least in my opinion) it's not AS feel good as neighboring LGBTQ+ spots in PV. That said they have some great events, beautiful dancers and great club lighting. read more

This place is FUN.... It's a tri level bar with the bottom being the main floor. There's always show going on. Drag performance starts off with singing and then dancing goes on after. They do have dancers that take the stage and poles during the night. Once you go upstairs, there's another small bar at the entrance. The outside patio with tables and overlooks the streets. I always say, "be open minded." One has to expect that clubs and bars pretty much roll the same way. Music being the common denominator. Whether it be on low or high volume, some kind music will be playing via DJ, VJ, and/or TV. One also has to expect that most places already have their preferred genre and may never be open to changes. Simple solution, if one does not like the music of one establishment, then walk out and go to another. If all fails, go back home. La Noche has something to offer for everyone. Entertainingly drag shows, energetic go-go dancers, a full bar with friendly bartenders ready to make your drinks, attentive servers, tables and chairs to occupy, or hanging out at the roof top, just vibing. So, I may not be a fan of drag shows but once in a while, when I'm in the mood, I'll watch a show or two with my traveling group. The roof top has been one of my favorite areas of La Noche. The sky, the ambience, the mixture of beats and rhythmic sounds that fills the night air kinda puts me in good energy zone. Whether we're sitting around or standing, I like that everyone minds their own business. We hung out at La Noche on a week night and it was packed. As we ended our hour there, we were ready for the next bar. Our server (forgot his name), was attentive to our group and made sure he took care of us. My friends and I researched of top gay bars in the area, and La Noche was top on lists. I did not get the opportunity to check the place out, because my bachelerotte party was denied entry. There was 9 of us in our group, including a lesbian and gay man. They told my gay friend that we didn't have enough gay men in our group and bachelorette parties were not allowed. At of the four gay bars I visited on my first visit to PVR, La Noche was my favorite. The first level definitely has that typical bar/club scene, with drag performers and dancers. The next two levels are what I absolutely love though. The upper two levels are actually patios with beautiful plant life and really nice lamps. I would actually love those lamps at home. With views of the Romantic District and some of the high rises Puerto Vallarta has to offer, this spot is great for catching up with friends or even date night... and drinks aren't as expensive as you would think, they're actually pretty affordable! read more

Yikes. Used to love this place, but went with a group of 6 last night and ordered a round of tequila shots for a toast. We got shots of tequila flavored water. Everyone turned to the server asking WTF, and he ran off muttering something about replacing them with "real tequila". We all walked out. First, let's just say this is a GAY bar so if You can't handle naked or mostly naked men dancing around and men loving each other this might not be place for you. However, if you just want to have fun enjoy yourself in a safe, clean, open air club that is open until 4 AM this is the place to go. They take temps at door, sanitizer all over. For a moment I thought I was in West Hollywood. The multi-storied gay nightclub with 2 level rooftop bar is up-to-the-moment trendy, clean, modern and hip. The rooftop was packed with gays of all flavors and their screaming straight girl pals (I could be wrong, but why do they only scream in gay bars?). Escaping back to the main floor, go-go boys gyrated on tabletops and a ledge 30 feet up. A bearded drag queen lip-synced and danced on stage to the music. We ended up at this club after seeing their sign that stated they had a rooftop garden area. THE CLUB: The first level features high ceilings, a big bar, and 3 areas (table tops) where the gogo boys dance. It's a very sexy-looking space that is reminiscent of some San Francisco bars. The second level features another bar, with awesome bartenders, one being a total key-you-tee! Hot damn! They were all very patient and professional, and busted ass. This area is open air, with a garden courtyard setting with dim lights, pumping music, and even a resident cat. The third level is a small patio that can fit maybe 25 comfortably, but was of course jam packed like sardines. I didn't get a chance to see the view but I'm sure it was sweet. PRICING: No cover charge. My Pacifico beer and shot of tequila was around $3 USD. Holy crap, try getting that price any where else! TIP: Happy hour is 1-3am with two for one beers. Yowza! There was no real dance floor except for the first level, but it got quickly overtaken by patrons watching the dancers. I've never seen so many mesmerized people lol. What a fun bar! Many nights they have drag shows. I went on a Thursday night and the drag show was one of the best I've seen! She was funny, entertaining, interacted with the crowd, and sang a lot of great songs! Later at night they have awesome go go boys. A few of the boys can pole dance like no other! Truly amazing talent. The upper level is a two story rooftop bar. Great place to chat and lounge with a date or friends. The drinks were good and the staff were friendly. My favorite club in PV! The main floor is a more traditional "club" with three stages. Usually there's either gogo dancers or drag performances. A long bar that is quick to serve. Good stuff, but I was mostly upstairs. Why? Because my god this patio is everything! Maybe it's because I come from Portland where we have virtually no rooftop drinking spots, but I was in love. after going through a smallish covered bar, you enter a two-level rooftop oasis. Fantastic lighting, plant-life everywhere, and plenty of seating options. It can get a little smokey, which is disappointing, but this is hardly the only place with that problem. I'd say that La Noche was one of the most "straight-friendly" gay bars we visited. By that I mean there were plenty of straight girls there as well, but not in a way that ruined the vibe. Good Lord can the overweight drag queens be any worse? They take over stage in self adoration. Not talented at all. They can't even lip Sync, Chases the customers away. Either be campy or very good. The first night I was here the place was completely dead. I went up to the 2nd and 3rd floor terraces which were actually quite nice. It's best to go upstairs for some quiet. The next time I was here it was packed. There was a drag show and people were really enjoying themselves. The first floor is air conditioned. I didn't buy the drinks so I can't comment on price, but I assume they are comparable to the other gay bars in the area. It is a local watering hole in Puerto Vallarta. Its a mixed bar. I loved the people there. Very friendly. They have a bartender, a host (straight one) who knows how to mingle with everyone, and the group of friends. I went there twice and loved my time there. Very very weak drinks. The music is stereotypically gay. All night was music from the 70s-80s and when we requested some more current music, we were told "maybe." The crowd consisted of a great mix in age. Now I can enjoy a classic as good as the next person, but after 3 hours it gets a little bland. Left to the bar across the street instead. The drinks were stronger, the music was better, the bartenders were friendlier. I also noticed that this bar seems to close pretty early.
