The best table side guac I've found so far in South Carolina. Also ordered veggie fajitas, and there was so much food! The guac was so good that I didn't finish the fajitas. The service was a little slow at lunch time especially for it not being busy. Would definitely visit again for the guacamole. read more

The food isn't terrible, I ordered a chicken dish with some shrimp, rice and salad on the side. Wasn't shabby. I also had an order of the birria tacos, those came out pretty bland (which is sad because they look and smell delicious). I went on a sunday and it was pretty quiet in there not much going on so service was decent, however the waiter seemed to be very confused when ordering. Probably won't return, but worth a shot if you order anything else on the menu. read more

Everyone in my group got their drinks while I was in the restroom and waited another ten minutes for her to come back and take my drink order, then another 10 for the drink. Same thing with the food, the rest of my group was about halfway through their meals when my soup finally came out. Paid $130 only for a mouse to run by us at the end of our meal (not being facetious, I would never discredit a restaurant over bad service) . Manager at the front didn't seem super concerned when we told them. Left without our leftovers and thankfully aren't local so won't end up here again. read more

Just hanging out in the kitchen, sitting on the prep table. Waitress was Cordial, and prompt. Very attentive. THE FOOD: Consistently poor. The Shell on the Taco salad was stale, Unripened Tomatoes, Chimichanga wasn't crisp, but mushy. Was never asked what filling I prefered, was given Beef. The Beef resembled canned catfood, and tasted of pure salt. Sadly, I normally go to the Sam's Point Road location on Lady's Island where I never had a bad meal. Amazing food and good quantities. Got the jalapeño stuffed poppers and it came with a heaping helping of fresh lettuce, sour cream, guacamole and shredded cheese not to mention big stuffed jalapeños itself. The service was fast and all our other dishes was just as amazing. Highly recommend over agave. Agave down the street is good but i think its better here. They just have a bad location. read more

The cheese dip was great. Unfortunately the waiter never came back to see if we wanted more drinks. I ate the enchilada w green sauce. Initially it tasted a little sour. But there was sour cream so I didn't think anything of it. I ate half and took home the other half. I ate the other half the next night and woke up at 530am near death. At about 9pm today we came here for dinner. We were seated promptly. We got salsa pretty quickly after being seated. Then we proceeded to be ignored for 20 minutes. We ended up having to leave. Aside from being seated, absolutely no one talked to or acknowledged us. Even when they put down the chips and salsa, it was just dropped off and not one word was said. This is a go-to stop in Beaufort for good Mexican Food. Nice family atmosphere, and I can feed my family of six without breaking the bank. My favorite is the California Burrito, at $9.99 it's a lot of food (enough to fill a big guy like me). My wife says their Spinach Quesadilla is the best she's ever had. My 4 kids always choose a couple soft tacos or one of their Child's Plates. All together, with drinks, I'm usually looking at around $45 to feed my whole family. Not just feed them, but feed them till we're all full and satisfied. Just a tip, I always order a small bowl of sour cream. The kids like dipping their chips in there instead of the salsa. A regular size is $.99 and a small is only $.50, not bad. My one complaint (and the reason I did't give them 5 stars) is due to the service. You will go long periods of time without seeing anyone. I have on several occasions had to grab my kids and my glass and walk all over the restaurant looking for someone to refill our drinks because we've been empty for a very long time. It doesn't matter if it's packed or we are the only ones in there. If they got that under control it would be an easy 5 star restaurant for me. read more

No big deal... But it was okay...Julio our waiter was promptly over and told us about the happy hour $3.49 12 oz margarita,,...really? Wow!! The margaritas were sweet...I doubt they make their own mix..probably bought...but were good... The menu is WAY to confusing and wAY to big...no eye focal point...yes, I was a restaurant consultant for years......over a dozen each of beef, chicken, and shrimp dishes, then fifteen or so combos....way to confusing....could use a serious makeover... I had the napolera fajitas, I'm a boring Mexican diner, I always get fajitas..my gal had beef taquito.... food was prompt. And verrrry tasty...they do a great job...and hey, we r there for the food, right?? This place has SUCH potential, but was SUCH a let-down! My cousin and his wife live in Beaufort, which is a beautiful, small military town. He was raving to us about the "authentic" Mexican food in this place..and of course we had to try it. Let me start off by saying that the food was amazing. All four of us had the, fajita quesadillas, the California burrito, the chimichanga with "red sauce" and a taco, burrito and enchilada platter. It was all well-cooked and the serving sizes were enormous. It tasted like Tex-Mex to me, but hey, I've never had "Authentic" Mexican food before. My reason for deducting two stars was the service, or should I say lack-thereof service? We sat down and waited ten minutes to be waited upon. Let me also say that besides one other couple, we were the only ones in the restaurant. When our waitress did arrive, she looked at us and said "drinks?" very rudely. We ordered and were laughing our butts off asking where Ashton was, because surely we were on Punkd. Approximately 12 minutes later, a man arrives with our drinks. We spent 60$ and had great food, but were treated like we were a bother to the wait-staff and from what my cousin was saying, this isn't the first time they have been treated like this.
