Local Salvadorian food. They have choco bananos which most Salvadorian restaurants don't have as dessert.

Not a good place if you're in a rush

It's seem like a good morning restaurant but there wait it's terrible it takes 45 minutes of waiting for them to bring over the food and there service it's not that great I'm from Palmdale but this place need better customer service and also a little more speed on the food

Oh Nueva Fogata, how you satisfy my need for an authentic & yummy papusa The Nueva Fogata is snuggled in a dinky strip mall, between a medical marijuana dispensary and a 7-11. Location isn't prime, but it's one of those mom & pop shop/hole in the wall kinda places. And lets be honest, most of the time those places are gems... with the best food at the best prices. I personally LOVE the revuelta pupusa. My opinion may be biased since it's usually the only thing I order... but damn they are good! Crispy edges with a gooey middle... yum! And their slaw & salsa to top it off is delish! **update: I've tried their Salvadorean empanadas, holy eff... so good - an order of 3 is only $5** Literally the best $2 I can spend is on pupusas from this place. This is my 3rd time coming here and definitely won't be my last! If you are looking for a delicious pupsa for dirt cheap, this is the place to get them! Quick tip: On Monday & Wednesdays, their pupusas are only $1!

For Starters! This Place Was Extremely Hot And had Flies Inside. Waitress Was On The Rude Side, Left Us Talking When Asking For Something And/Or Placing Orders. We Were A Group Of 20 And They Split Us In Two Tables Vs Joining Two Tables For Such A Big Family Like Mine. The Menu Has Prices Covered With A Sticker And I Believe That Is Unacceptable. Finally, The Outrages Amount We Got Charged For Typical Salvadoran Plates Was The One Thing That Finished Pushing My Entire Family Away. We Do Not Recommend This Restaurant Not One Bit!

Carne Asada plate grilled to perfection pink in the middle. Fried beans were very smooth and yummy as well.

My first Salvadorian food experience. Other than odd decor, worn out table and incredibly loud and annoying live music, the experience over all was very pleasurable. Our server was very friendly and made sure our kids got extra plates too without asking for it. I enjoyed their food very much as well. Snce this is my first time at the Salvadorian place, I am not sure if it's like this over all... But compare to Mexican, they were lighter on the spice as well as less lard smell/taste. It was interesting to dip fried plantains on a sour creme and fried beans. Speaking of fried beans, they were very creamy and smooth. Very yummy. Stuffed bell pepper with pork and vege was very hearty and savory. But I wish there was a bit more spices added to it. Carne asada plate was great! Next time, I will be sure to try their pupusas.

Traditional Salvadorean Cuisine in the SFV!…read more Our first time trying Salvadorean food at this family owned restaurant in Reseda. Carlos gave us some great recommendations so we ended up trying pupusas for the first time. It's made with a homemade corn dough. It's thicker than a regular corn tortilla and stuffed with ground pork and cheese. They have a variety of fillings. You can add salsa roja, a flavorful tomato-based sauce or habanero sauce. Served with Curtido, a tangy, fermented cabbage slaw. So crispy, cheesy and filling. It came burning hot - I could barely hold it. But, I would definitely order this again! We tried Desayuno Típico, a traditional Salvadoran breakfast, which came with casamiento (beans and rice mixed together), Salvadorean style chorizo, fried plantains, 2 eggs, avocado, fresh cheese and Salvadorean style sour cream and homemade corn tortillas. I got the beans one, soooo good! Crispy on the outside, soft and melty on the inside... chef's kiss. Paired with the fresh cabbage salad and salsa, every bite was full of flavor. The pan con pollo was just as amazing -- tender, well-seasoned chicken with fresh veggies and bread that soaked up all the goodness. So hearty and satisfying! And don't skip the atole -- warm, comforting, and perfectly balanced. It felt like a hug in a cup You can truly taste the authenticity and care in every dish. Portions are generous, prices are great, and the overall vibe is welcoming and comforting -- like a home-cooked meal away from home. 10/10 Highly recommend if you love flavorful, authentic Salvadoran food.
