I recently visited Panaderia & Pupuseria Salvadorena Mi Tierra El Salvador and was seriously impressed. This spot feels like a hidden gem if you're craving authentic Salvadoran food. The pupusas were the highlight fresh, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. The curtido and salsa complemented them really well, adding just the right balance of tangy and spicy. You can tell everything is made with care and traditional recipes. We also tried the Torta Hula Hula, which was absolutely delicious and loaded with flavor. On top of that, the empanadas de frijol and empanadas de leche were both amazing perfectly made and seriously satisfying. We also checked out some items from the bakery, and they did not disappoint. The bread was soft, slightly sweet, and tasted incredibly fresh, perfect with a cup of coffee. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It's the kind of place that feels like home cooking rather than a typical restaurant. If you're in the Reseda area and looking for authentic Salvadoran flavors, this place is definitely worth checking out. We'll absolutely be coming back. Este lugar se siente como una joya escondida si tienes antojo de comida salvadoreña auténtica. Las pupusas fueron lo mejor frescas, perfectamente cocinadas y llenas de sabor. El curtido y la salsa las complementaban muy bien, aportando el equilibrio perfecto entre lo ácido y lo picante. Se nota que todo está hecho con cuidado y siguiendo recetas tradicionales. También probamos la torta Hula Hula, que estaba absolutamente deliciosa y llena de sabor. Además, las empanadas de frijol y las empanadas de leche estaban increíbles muy bien hechas y realmente deliciosas. También probamos algunos productos de la panadería y el pan artesanal estaba riquisimo. El pan estaba suave, ligeramente dulce y muy fresco, perfecto para acompañar con una taza de café. El ambiente es informal y acogedor, y el personal fue amable y atento. Es el tipo de lugar que se siente como comida casera más que un restaurante típico. Si estás en el área de Reseda y buscas sabores auténticos de El Salvador, definitivamente vale la pena visitarlo. Sin duda regresaremos. I was excited to get Salvadoran bread. But it smelled awful as soon as I opened the door. They have a buffet style "restaurant" set up with foods displayed and uncovered with the mix of smells. I like fish and I don't mind the smell, but that's all I smelled as I walked in. I should've walked out. Instead I ordered quesadillas. They are dry and I don't think are made daily. They taste old. Authentic Salvadorian place, I have found you! When I walked in I truly felt Salvadorian. It's little, yes, but a traditional Salvadorian restaurant has a nice cozy decor and traditional Salvadorian pieces. They have Salvadorian delicacies and food there like crema fresca, horchata, and tradition Salvadorian bakery. On to the food: Horchata: I know my Salvadorian horchata and I know when it's not authentic. This was not the case here. The horchata was tasty and made the way it's supposed to, not just milk rice and sugar. Pupusas: they were great. They were ready in about 10 minutes as they are prepared when ordered. They were very good. Not the best I've had but I would get them 1000x here. Chicken empanada: biggest ones I've seen! These were crunchy and full flavored chicken stuffing inside. They also have pan frances, apparently it's very hard to find pan frances in the valley (Salvadorian French bread that's great for pan con pollo). They also have atole de elote. My mom was born and raised in El Salvador, and she LOVED the atole de elote they sell here. All in all, this is a beautiful little place that represents El Salvador very well and the food here is just fabulous. If you want true Salvadorian Food and pastries, this is your place. read more

I've been to this place quite often & I've had a pleasant experience every single time. The food is great & so is the sweet bread (pan dulce) especially los "salpores de almidón" which are my favorite! If you come on Mondays the pupusas revueltas are only .99 cents & they make them to order... Yummy! They also have over-the-counter Salvadorean medicines that are hard to find. read more

Come here if you want a older woman giving you attitude. I so badly wanted a Pupusa and I remembered I had a great experience here. The woman was kind and my food was amazing. Well today when I walked into the establishment the kind woman wasn't there. But rather a rude woman that looked upset that we were there to buy food. So here is my take on this place yes is small yes some times the food takes time yes there might be only one lady in there most of the time but come on people it's a small little shack some of the best foods come from places like this their pupusas are really good and my main reason for a 5star review is the following My wife was 6 month pregnant and she decided she wanted fried bananas at 6:30 in the afternoon we walked in and asked if there were any left the lady replied I'm so sorry we are out she took Avery good look at my wife's sad expression and her belly and said BUT IF ITS A CRAVING FOR THAT BELLY GIVE ME 15 MINUTES AND ILL COOKED THEM FOR YOU my wife accepted and was so happy about it Ok one she had already shut her kitchen down two went to the trouble of not only taking the time to cook but she had to clean up afterwards and the order was only $6.00 that was to me a five star costumer service she obviously understood motherhood!! This little place has great pupusas at a great price. I love pupusas revueltas and they are $1 everyday! They are small, filled with pork, beans, and cheese. The place is also very small inside, so I opt to order and pick up. They also have other ready to go food like empanadas and tamales. Parking is not a problem. Definitely a try! read more

I have to say that this is the best Salvadorian food in the LA area the food is always fresh and delicious it's a nice cozy little spot and everyone here makes you feel at home. I love coming here I have been a customer for 5 years I love Rosita she is always so nice and so polite and makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend this restaurant. You can't leave without trying these fresh baked bread such as the Quesadillas and Alemanas my Husband loves so much. In fact you can even place orders ahead of time for there delicious tamales salvadoreños. They are so soft and delicious it's an exquisite food for a little bit of money. Pupusas are great! Not the best but better than the rest. Poor customer service if you are not Salvadorian. Not to mention a little rude over the phone when taking orders. if I could give it more than five stars I would, the lady at the front taking my order was so friendly, and the food was so amazing, the pupusas I had rebueltas and cheese y loroco; Wow!!! so good I had to asked the name of the cook, her name is Jessica, she makes the most delicious pupusas I have ever tasted and believe me I have been to a lot of Salvadorian restaurants, but these pupusas were so good I had to ask for the name of the cook and her schedule.
