Traditional bakery of traditional Salvadorian breads
    Cindy L.

Authentic Salvadorian place, I have found you! When I walked in I truly felt Salvadorian. It's little, yes, but a traditional Salvadorian restaurant has a nice cozy decor and traditional Salvadorian pieces. They have Salvadorian delicacies and food there like crema fresca, horchata, and tradition Salvadorian bakery. On to the food: Horchata: I know my Salvadorian horchata and I know when it's not authentic. This was not the case here. The horchata was tasty and made the way it's supposed to, not just milk rice and sugar. Pupusas: they were great. They were ready in about 10 minutes as they are prepared when ordered. They were very good. Not the best I've had but I would get them 1000x here. Chicken empanada: biggest ones I've seen! These were crunchy and full flavored chicken stuffing inside. They also have pan frances, apparently it's very hard to find pan frances in the valley (Salvadorian French bread that's great for pan con pollo). They also have atole de elote. My mom was born and raised in El Salvador, and she LOVED the atole de elote they sell here. All in all, this is a beautiful little place that represents El Salvador very well and the food here is just fabulous. If you want true Salvadorian Food and pastries, this is your place.

Taken while have a Beef Soup (sopa de Res) sitting at the tables outside....

I've been to this place quite often & I've had a pleasant experience every single time. The food is great & so is the sweet bread (pan dulce) especially los "salpores de almidón" which are my favorite! If you come on Mondays the pupusas revueltas are only .99 cents & they make them to order... Yummy! They also have over-the-counter Salvadorean medicines that are hard to find.

This little place has great pupusas at a great price. I love pupusas revueltas and they are $1 everyday! They are small, filled with pork, beans, and cheese. The place is also very small inside, so I opt to order and pick up. They also have other ready to go food like empanadas and tamales. Parking is not a problem. Definitely a try!

my favorite pupusa place in the valley!! came here a few times and brought different people here! such a small place, definitely not for too many huge crowds at once but definitely worth your money. about $2 per pupusa and they're pretty decently sized, 2 of them fill me up. i'll definitely come back again and again!!

Cola champagne in the right refridgerator and yuca chips in the ledt

Rude customer service. Food has good taste but IMO over priced. The pan frances is available sporadically too.

The masa was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and the filling was packed with flavor. The cheese was rich, creamy, and incredibly delicious. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients; they definitely don't cut corners. The pupusa is not huge and It's not small. It's perfectly proportioned just like my mother in law makes them Every bite reminded me of the traditional flavors of El Salvador. Pair it with the curtido and salsa, and it's perfection. If you want a pupusa that stays true to its Salvadoran roots, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be coming back! Ashley is amazing and you can pay ZELLE! Thank you guys we will be back

It was right next door to my appointment and I thought I'd give it a try while waiting for my mom to finish up with her pedicure. They are $3.50 per tamale and it took approximately 10 minutes for my order of two to come out. I think they were steaming them. The restaurant was quite large and there was only one other customer there at about 4 PM on a Thursday. They had the ARV playing on the TVs and have bar seating. The service was friendly. Tamale is 8.5/10: it's packed with a lot of really fun, filling items, like a green bean, potato, olive, and hominy with white meat chicken. The chicken is a little bit dry. But the tamale is very flavorful!

Traditional Salvadorean Cuisine in the SFV!…read more Our first time trying Salvadorean food at this family owned restaurant in Reseda. Carlos gave us some great recommendations so we ended up trying pupusas for the first time. It's made with a homemade corn dough. It's thicker than a regular corn tortilla and stuffed with ground pork and cheese. They have a variety of fillings. You can add salsa roja, a flavorful tomato-based sauce or habanero sauce. Served with Curtido, a tangy, fermented cabbage slaw. So crispy, cheesy and filling. It came burning hot - I could barely hold it. But, I would definitely order this again! We tried Desayuno Típico, a traditional Salvadoran breakfast, which came with casamiento (beans and rice mixed together), Salvadorean style chorizo, fried plantains, 2 eggs, avocado, fresh cheese and Salvadorean style sour cream and homemade corn tortillas. The location is a bit hard to get to - you can see it from Sherman Way but it's located at the end of a small side street that parallels Sherman Way - it's basically a small shopping center at the end of the street with a bunch of apartments. I missed the turn in the first time around and thought there might be a back entrance around the alley but there's NOT, it's just one way in and out of the lot, off the small side street. The staff here are very friendly and helpful in answering my questions. It was Wednesday and they had a special on the tacos and the 3 pupusas. We ordered 4 tacos - two carne asada and two pastor, the carne asada plate with salad, yuca and chicharron, 3 chicharron pupusas, and the Jamaica drink. It was way too much food. I enjoyed everything, and my top favorites were the pastor tacos and the pupusas. The pastor was so flavorful and perfectly cooked! The pupusas were so good I forgot to take a photo. The combination of crispy edges, light and airy dough with the perfect amount of firmness, and the generous chicharron filling with the curtido - omg so, so good! I will definitely be back to get more pupusas and try their other dishes! They also offer a Mina's Box which is basically a to go lunch box and is a great deal. There's limited parking in the shared lot.
