I ordered a cheese pizza but they delivered a pepperoni pizza. The meatball sub was ok.

Pizza was very bland like Little Caesar's! Price was good but the quality of taste wasn't there!

Ok so when I get a chicken parm sub form here it's amazing every time but the moment I try something different it's a disappointment apparently you pay $16 for shrimp Alfredo i asked for ziti noodles they give you fettuccine also they cut baby shrimp in Half to make it look like more shrimp and I can't believe in stead of giving me broccoli that I paid a ridiculous amount of $4 for ... they couldn't even give me whole or half pieces of broccoli they give me literally shavings of broccoli maybe 10 thin shavings of broccoli ... just isn't worth going out anywhere these days and restaurants are like... wahhh give us a break read more

On Sunday, I ordered their clams with white sauce. After the food was delivered, I got sick after eating a portion of it. When I got done throwing up, I threw the rest of my meal into the trash. I paid $18.00 and ended vomiting their so called spaghetti in clam sauce into the toilet? You gotta be kidding me. Anyway, I called them the next day to complain( but did so very politely) and spoke to the owners wife. All she did was to act like Vinnie Barbarino's relative (Welcome Back Cotter) saying, " Duhhh...sorry." You mean to say that your crappy food poisoned me and all I get is , " Duhhh..sorry." ? I wasn't offered another meal, I wasn't offered some kind of discount or a complete refund of the $18.00 for my totally inedible meal. You give your patrons food poisoning and then offer up a half hearted, half assed apology. La Ortolana Pizza Restaurant is a pitiful excuse for a restaurant, a ghastly greasy spoon who should be visited by The Board of Health A.S.A.P. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. Poisoning me and not giving a damn when I called to register a complaint? Your not doing me a favor by serving up inedible slop, I'm doing you the favor, the honor, of choosing to do business with you. Don't you forget that! So beware of the spaghetti with white sauce. This place used to be our go-to place for pizza and wings, but tonight our last time. We ordered Large pizzas and received Mediums instead. Sadly, this wasn't even the first time! The last time we found a medium pizza in a large box. This time they were just in medium boxes instead. And a large cheesesteak didn't have enough meat on it to reach the end of the roll. I stopped in here during a road trip, when some of our passengers needed a bathroom break as well as a lunch break. Since we weren't in much of a hurry, we ordered some appetizers as well as pizza. Let me give you some of my impressions: First, the facilities are not going to impress anyone. Does not seem to be the original owners or proprietors--and the surrounding area does not seem to be a big market that would support a lot of business. The place looks old and needs some TLC to make this diamond in the rough look a little shinier. Second, the food is value priced. A large 16" pizza is $9 (I think). We ordered garlic knots, the appetizer platter, and a "Sicilian" pizza, all totaling $22. Third, our pizza was unique--tasted above average and was round. Every Sicilian pie I've ever come across has always been square---this one was round. The dough/crust was the best part for me....tasted like buttery soft pretzel. Fourth, service was friendly. Our pizza was made wrong---the crust detached from the center cheese and sauce part of the pizza---essentially creating a crustless pizza--which I actually thought was a great idea. The pizza maker-owner? sincerely apologized and gave us the pizza to eat, and made us a new one. Good thing we weren't in a rush and wanted a break from driving, as baking a thick crust pizza took 20+ minutes. We were full already so, we got extra pizza to enjoy later (which heated up excellently---some of the best leftover pizza I've had) I can see why people might give this place a lower rating. I would give it a 3.5 star if we had half stars but decided to round up because there really wasn't many alternatives in immediate vicinity, and that I felt the owner was truly genuine in her apology for the pizza mishap. read more

This just became our favorite pizza place in Milford. Moved from the Northern VA/DC area (where there are lots of good restaurants that deliver) to Milford (barely any good restaurant, and even less that deliver) a year ago and finally found a restaurant that actually has good food and delivers. Chicken cheesesteak and cheesesteak sandwiches are also good. Pizza sauce is outstanding. Honestly, we have liked everything we have ordered from here. read more

Was told a different total than what my card was charged when I called to tell them about it they pretty much called me a liar and hung up on me! When I called back to talk to the manager I found out he was the one I talked to! Totally rude customer service and they had no desire to fix my issue with them! When my food arrived, my pizza was cold with toppings I asked to not have on it and their appetizers tasted like they used ones that come from the freezer section in the grocery store and had been overcooked or made 4 hours earlier. Horribly burned pizza! When we got home and realized our pizza was BLACK and inedible, my husband called and spoke with the owner who said he was too busy to deliver us a replacement pizza (we picked up the first) but, we could come in and pick one up in AN HOUR! Absolutely unacceptable service and DISGUSTING quality! Prior to this, we ate in-house once and the place was FILTHY... tables uncleaned (I used a couple baby wipes and cleaned one off), chair disgusting, bathroom a mess... the place was horrible! Sometimes they are soooo busy that it takes a while; h o w e v e r, THE FOOD IS GOOD. We order cheesesteaks and wings quite often...and they deliver. They delivery drivers have always been courteous. We have ordered more than 10 times in the last 6 months. read more

When we were first sat down (2pm) we were informed that they didn't have ice yet. We were then asked if we wanted our drinks before or after the ice. We opted to wait. It was well over 90 degrees and we were hot. Then upon ordering we were told that they didn't have ricotta cheese. The boss was bringing it later. We had to order a Stromboli instead of a calzone. We also ordered a pizza with no problems. When we asked for straws the waitress brought a cup with unwrapped straws in it and the silverware was dropped In a pile in the middle of the table. The food came and it was delicious. The crust was tasty and the sauce was seasoned well. All in all the food was very good and the wait staff was friendly but we will never go back due to the problems we had ordering. read more

Wings are good but that's about it. Ordered tortellini Alfredo but it comes with a bunch of stuff I just didn't want. Mushrooms onions ect. I asked for tortellini and cream sauce, that was it. Had it delivered and after paying for my food and tipping the driver, it came to $25. And of course everything I didn't want was on it and basically inedible. Oh and so was the "garlic bread." I like butter just as much as the next girl but enough is enough...I was much happier with my microwaveable chicken pot pie. read more

Got the "Chicago style" pizza meat lovers.....it was a regular pizza with a thin flat crust on top I measured the thickness of slice of Chicago style was less then a quarter inch...Chicago style pizzas should be the thickness of a pie....got ripped off for ten dollars ... got a order of 50 wings and only 40 in the boxes....don't get me wrong was good taste but was robbed of twenty dollars of food I didn't get.... read more

Hands down the best pizza, wings and cheesesteaks in Milford. Lunchtime is iffy, but the owner is there for the late lunch/dinner shift and we have never had a problem when he is there. They were the worst. I ordered for delivery and an hour and a half later they still hadn't arrived. I called and was first told my order is on the way. Minutes later someone calls back to tell me my order was delivered to someone standing outside of my house and basically accused me of trying to get a free order. When i expressed how insane it was for the driver to not come to the door i was told that if someone is outside why would the driver go to the door. End result my 9:20 order for dinner for my family coming in from a long day never happened and now i have to figure out what my child is gonna eat at 11pm. Thanks a bunch for nothing. read more
