Upon arrival they greeted us promptly even though we knew they were going to close soon, (and I hate being one of those laggers) but I just got back from a deployment and I needed my nails done and some sister time. I've been a regular in this place, But last week I had my nails done (powder and Shillac) by a guy in this location, Not only he cut my skin while polishing and bled, he didn't know how to paint! He made a mess of the painting in my fingers and his and kept apologizing all the time. The painting was clearly bumpy and thick, He put it to dry under the light, and they came out bumpy. I told him I'd like to have them fixed, Since they were not dry and felt thick to the touch. They looked uneven. He tried to be very helpful and did the entire set again! So, for the second time they were OK. Next day the painting cracked. Rude Ivonne (I believe she manages the location) told me she could fix only two of the damaged nails, Three hours later the painting was bumpy! I don't mind the money as much as the principle. Be honest and accept you're using expired product, that you have untrained people working for the ones on their day off, and you're blaming your loyal clients for bumpy nails! read more

I have now gone back twice- each time they have done an excellent job and get my nails exactly the way I want them. They also have the color that I want, which is a hard to find color. I am a professional nail tech from Boston. I took a quick trip to Houston a month ago and needed my nails and feet done badly. A friend referred me to La Palm cause he knows how picky I am. Once I walked in I was welcomed by Le and San San. I got the ultimate treatment. They made me feel like a Queen!!!!! It's been a month and my toes still look good. Le gave me the best pedicure I ever had in my life and she was so pleasant. San San gave me a refill and fixed 3 broken nails and her shaping technique was impeccable!! All my nails are still in tact. The salon is super clean and they have so many gel colors to choose from. I took a flight to Houston today just to come get my nails done by Le and San San. read more

I was disappointed when I found out a week ago that Amanda and Kellie had left this salon...although I wasn't surprised because when a certain gentlemen was there managing the salon he appeared to be disruptive and unfriendly. Most of the customers didn't care for his loud voice either. Also, When he was there he didn't seem to want to go the extra mile for the clients. Many of my friends were offended by him, didn't care for the customer service and refused to go back when Nancy left a year or so ago. I continued to go back because of Amanda and Kelli . I liked them and it was very convenient. Today I went in and the salon seemed much more customer friendly, very clean and organized. I tried Jane for a pedicure yesterday and she did a nice job. She was very friendly and accommodating. Today I went back and Yvonne did my refill and did a great job as well. I also found out that the salon was under new management and they are offering a 10 per cent discount. Zero Stars!!! I just left this place with my mother and was was extremely disappointed by the service we received. The manager/owner was very inappropriate and I actually do believe their tend to treat particular races differently. Once we got in, my mother let them know she wanted a pedicure. We picked out a color and they ran the water to soak her legs. A lady then got started on her by taking off her nail polish. All of a sudden, a white male walked in stating he was there to get a pedicure. The lady working on my mother then left her to attend to the man. No heads up, no apology, nothing! She was gone for a few minutes so I then asked the manager what was going on. She lied stating the man had an appointment he was early for. She then mentioned whenever someone becomes available they will get to her. Again, no apology or anything. We decided we were no longer going to stay and let her know we were leaving. Nope, not impressed. It was like getting a mani pedi in a dark subway tunnel. Very cramped, not the least bit relaxing. I got the spa pedi (waste) and a bored, weak hot stone massage with one stone lukewarm from the water spray being halfheartedly pressed against my calf. My nails look pretty crummy (I hate when you realize they haven't bothered to cover the whole nail). Ironically, my middle finger nail is cut at an obviously wrong angle as well. I believe I asked for square, but this one is more isosceles triangle. Whatevs. No mall mani/pedi for me again. I paid a crap ton for it too, and am ready to just pick off the polish and paint them myself. WORST Customer Service EVER! I come here all the time, but today will be my last. I called this am to make an appointment because I knew I wouldn't have time to wait as I was going on my lunch break, which is an hour for most of corporate America. When I got here my girl was still working on someone else, so I asked if someone else could start on me because I was pressed for time but they told me I had to wait even though there were three girls just sitting around. They told me I could come back another time, but if I could I wouldn't have made an appointment for a specific time. 35 minutes after my appointment time she finally started on my nails. Needless to say, I was late for work and they didn't get a tip. First time I've never not left a tip, but they were unable to cooperate with me as the customer or accommodate my request. Went in during lunch on a Friday, they were busy. They were quick- I was done within an hour with a shellac mani and pedi, however the work wasn't that great. My nails bubbled after the fact. It's also very pricey for standard service but I understand it's because of location. I wouldn't recommend going here if you want quality work unless you need a quick fix. read more

I keep reading reviews of people who are complaining about this salon who are saying that they feel cheated because they got charged for services that they didn't know it would cost them extra. Well my first suggestion to these people is don't be cheap. My second suggestion is to ask how much it is before the service is provided. My third suggestion is just don't get luxury services that you can't afford. My final suggestion is don't waste people's time writing bad reviews whenever you are a cheat and are just upset that they didn't give into your complaining attitude because you wanted something for free. Educated consumers can tell whenever a real complaint is genuine. Any time I have had something I was unsatisfied with they fix it because they know that I'm not a complainer. You get a lot better service when you are nice to people in service positions. Put yourself in their position. Think about it they have to work on your nasty feet. Have some empathy. That's all.
