I have been going to LA perfections for years with my girls. Last experience I had with them was judy charging me extra .. example I requested a regular pedicure .. nothing extra like designs or gel .. she charged me an extra 10$ .. my daughter wanted three different nail colors .. not designs but nail colors and judy charged her 35$ for using three different polish .. (orange black and white .. for Halloween!!!!) I used to love going to her but stopped since my last experience with her charging whatever she pleases .. I didn't make a fuss at the time but I knew she lost a customer for good .. we go to a different place now where the prices are consistent and they do great work! read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. I really wanted to like this place because they never have a wait and are closeby. I tried them three times, out of desperation, and finally done trying them out. The first time was ok - I got a gel mani and pedi. The woman barely acknowledged me but I'm ok with that. I'm not there to chat and prefer not to anyway. She butchered my cuticles a bit, but that happens sometimes so I gave them a second chance months later. The second time I went, the women on there were borderline rude with how they were telling me where to sit, asking me about my polish, just abrupt and the mani itself was subpar- sloppy, bumpy and nails uneven. The last time I went, I had a trip planned and waited to the last minute. This one took the cake and I won't be returning. They were heavily pushing a gel polish, which I didn't want. I heard "no gel?!?!" With an odd look no less than ten times. Not even kidding. I finally said to her "I do not want gel, please don't ask me again" Bc I was feeling so pressured. They have very few non gel colors and the ones they have are dried up and crusty. I brought in my own color. I could tell they were actively talking about me because they were so annoyed I didn't want gel. Locals know this place stinks and I should have listened. I also don't believe their "new mgmt" sign outside. Seems they know it too. Their manager is just as bad as the other old woman in there. Save yourself the trouble and go where your business is appreciated and you won't feel pressured to spend more on something you don't want. read more

Gel mani came nice, not thick or wavy like some places. She took time to do the cuticles right. 50$ for gel manicure and pedicure which is average but I thought it'd be cheaper for the type of place it was. Pedicure was super short and basic, no hot towel or stones. I was coming here for a year but every technician who i grew to love left without warning. I couldn't place the reason why until my last appointment. 100% it's the male owner. He's the reason i will never come back. The last time i went he did my nails and it was an awful and painful experience. He cut me, made me bleed, burned me and did not attempt to change his style when i told him he was causing me pain. All he said was he was in a rush. I've since found a new salon and will not be returning. It's a shame because i really like the female owner. Zero stars. read more

This is my fifth visit with Judy. She is the best, her gel fills are great and last 3 to 4 weeks. She is also takes only a little over a half hour to do such a wonderful job. EDIT: I was corrected about the older man's story and have removed that part of the review to be more fair. While still suspicious, I am giving the salon owner who replied to me the benefit of the doubt. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Do not go here! If you do make an appointment with the owner, Judy, since she seems to be the only one who does her job right. She is the only reason I gave more than 1 star. They always take walk ins even when they clearly do not have time for them. They treat walk ins and appointments equally. So if you have an appointment or not expect to wait for at least half an hour. Then you will do more waiting as your tech jumps between 3 clients and you get shuffled around. My tech gave me attitude when I wanted my tips shorter than what he likes, he put my acrylic on VERY thick and didn't file it down evenly so one side of my nail was thicker than the other. And he didnt file the acrylic away from under my pinky, so I had a glob of hardened acrylic under my nail! Gross and unsanitary. He also didnt do any prep on the nail. No cuticle care, he didnt even take off the chipped clear coat that I told him I still had on. I asked for an ombre nail, which should be done with acrylic powder which to an experienced nail tech would be obvious by the picture I presented. But no, he did it with the airbrush. Which looks way cheaper. I didn't realize until after it was done, but he never asked if I wanted it done with powder or paint. I just assumed he would know what he's doing. So I guess I know for next time when I go to a different salon. When I came back 2 and a half weeks later, with nails that looked like they were a month grown out (because he didn't put the acrylic as low as he should, probably so I'd come in for a fill quicker). Since I didn't appreciate that underhanded business tactic I had another tech remove them. I told them that I want them removed instead of filled because of this reason. I explained that my cuticle wasn't pushed back or anything and the guy who did them tried to tell me it was my fault, because I didn't ask. Like why wouldn't I want my nails properly prepped beforehand.. The female tech gave me such an attitude for wanting my nails removed! She kept saying "oh they're too new, it's hard to remove!" Ok? And? That's why I'm PAYING YOU to do it. She very clearly was annoyed that she was stuck doing a low priced job rather than something more expensive. But seriously it was so unprofessional and she didn't even fully remove the acrylic!! She tried to tell me "that's just your nail" when I saw 1/16" of acrylic still on my nail. It was obviously thicker than the nail next to it. I tipped her well because I'm stupid and feel bad for people even when they are obnoxious I guess. Just don't waste your time or money here. read more

This salon is horrible and has absolutely no clue what they're doing with dip powder. Awful customer service. I was clearly very unhappy with my nails and they did nothing to try and fix them besides make excuses for their work. Not a single nail was filed straight. Had an appointment for a mani/pedi with my mom. Had to wait an hour to be taken after my mom was which aggravating enough. The very next day both of our gel manicures were chipped. Less than a week later it's chipping more and looks terrible in general. The gel is peeling off all around. I will definitely not go here. Ok so I had a bad experience 3 years ago with this place ,then I went back in 2019 to get my nails done for friends wedding they did a great job, then covid hit and haven't been back until recently I went to get dip powder Sunday September 20th and the guy put a gel coat on them to make them last longer at the end (which I've never gotten done before? So I was confused ) then I left , Tuesday September 22nd my nail chipped ,Friday September 25th got the nail fixed ,now today September 26th ANOTHER NAIL IS CHIPPED I have NEVER had this happen at other places .. it only happens when I come to this place... its like they have no IDEA what they are doing when it comes to Dip Powder ... Love this place! I've tried out almost all the nail places around east brunswick and spotswood and this place is definitely the best. Not only do they have tons of colors and designs to choose from but the gel stays on for three weeks with no issue. Terrible customer service. Would not acknowledge a gift card that expired 10 days prior to when I wanted to go. THE WORST NAIL SALON!

I came here to get a mani pedi on Sunday. they cut my nails extremely short and uneven. by tuesday the polish was chipped and they looked a mess. I went back on Friday asking them to fix the polish. they tried upselling me to get a full set of gel tips bc they last longer. I only wanted the polish fixed. they said they cant guarantee regular polish. they repainted my nails but tried cutting them even shorter. at the end they wanted me to pay for a full manicure again. I had just gotten them done 4 days ago and didnt feel it was right to pay full price for work they had just done. they continued saying that regular polish cant be guaranteed and I should have gotten gel. I was extremely dissatisfied with the whole experience and the customer service here. I have been here before this ordeal and they had been okay but after the awful customer service they have definitely lost my business. especially since they "cant guarantee regular polish" Ive painted my nails myself and had them last longer than 4 days. horrible experience and customer service to say the least so I will not be back or recommending this place to anyone. read more

well, I just went there and I will NEVER go back nor will I recommend them. I went with my 4 year old daughter and my 9 year old son. He bites his fingers so I thought I would try getting him weekly manicures to try to help him. I walked in, the lady looked up from the customer she was working on and stared at me like I was there 2 minutes before closing. She asked if she could help me. I said yes 2 manicures and pointed to my kids. She stared again. I felt unwelcome at this point. She said "2 manicures?" I said yes. she stared again. she said for your son? I said yes. she said "pick a color" she didn't say please have a seat, we will be with you in a minute. Nothing...... We sat down. 2 young girls walked in. they picked out colors and the women asked what they needed. They said 2 manicures. She got up from her customer walked over and leaned over the coffee table and said to me "sorry, I can't do them, prom girls". I said ok really? she went back to her customer and never said another word to me. she could have said can you come back in a half hour or something!! We walked out and I noticed my daughter had the nail polish in her hands so I went back in and put it on the shelf. I said the the lady, " you know this is no way to get new customers, you will never see me again" she didn't even look up... The place was hot and humid and didn't smell to great. never ever go there.... I am so mad. read more
