this is where we ended up eating our first night and it was all by chance. the food was pretty good but nothing to run home about. we tried the salmon dinner and tuna ceviche. our server was super helpful. we also enjoyed a bottle of white wine. the space was nice, dimly lit and played vibrant music.

The last meal of our epic Mexico City vacation was at La Pescaderia in Condesa and it was the perfect place to end a memorable trip. The service was impeccable. After we sat down at our table, we had non-stop attention and service from a group of servers, led by the amazing Norma, for nearly three hours. The atmosphere was great as a live DJ played music which kept us entertained throughout our meal. For our party of 8, we tried just about everything on the menu. Our favorites were the Molcajete Sinalonse, Pulpo and las Brasas, and Camarones Momia.

Stumbled upon this place as I was walking around and super hungry. All around were generic pizzerias and Mexican restaurants and since this was a seafood place I decided to give it a try. Maybe it's me but it was so damn loud in there that I felt like I was eating dinner in a club which was not a relaxing dining experience. I got the salad with fresh tuna which turned out to be the saddest salad I've ever had. It was just a bit of lettuce, a spoon of mango, and 4 small slices of tuna and some raspberries. The dressing tasted a bit artificial, like it came from a bottle. Overall definitely not worth the price. For my entree I had the shrimp aguachile which surprisingly was pretty tasty and redeemed the dinner.

I highly recommend the octopus tostada (with garlic one), truly the best item I had over my weekend of eating out in Condesa.

They knocked down walls to adjoin all apartments on each floor, gutted them out, and placed dinning areas throughout. So you walk in and they tell you to go to the 2nd or 3rd floor and pick a table. That table can be in the past living room or past kitchen of an apartment. So cool! The whole ground floor is the kitchen and prep area. The front entrance is thru a open door between two taco stands, the door leads you into the past patio/common area of the apartments. There is no signs in the entrance, just flag an employee down in the patio area and they'll direct you to an open floor. All seafood dishes come with their famous paella, which is one of the best I've tasted. I had the best Octopus cocktail of my live here. The octopus was chunky and tender! I will visit this place every time I come to Mexico City!! They speak English and accept credit cards.

It was delish too. The pork dish tasted somewhat like kimchi soup with pork in it. (It was in a pot on the front row, second one from the left) On the way out, I saw paella and that looked amazing so had to be back to try next day.. It was not bad for $200ish pesos. It is nothing fancy but I loved it. If you are adventurous and want to try what locals eat, this is the place.
