Limantour continues to prove why it's a staple on the world stage. The Long Island Iced Tea was the absolute revelation of the night--it's rare to find one where you can actually savor a complex flavor profile rather than just strength, but this was masterfully balanced. I also highly recommend the Jugo Antigripal; it was vibrant, fresh, and perfectly executed. On the experimental side, the Bellini offered a unique, 'different' twist that was enjoyable, though the Sea Breeze missed the mark for my palate. I did try another one with the sorbet in it, but forgot the name. It was decent. Ambiance was nice. At one point they dimmed the lights to the point only lighting was from outside. We were sat at a large communal table. Music was loud but still vibey. Bathroom is super clean and nice. Basically gender neutral. Still, for the Long Island alone, this is a must-visit.
Licorería Limantour is hands-down my favorite bar in CDMX - and honestly, one of the best cocktail bars I've ever been to, anywhere. They are consistently impressive. From the moment you walk in, it just feels special. The vibe is lively yet classy, with a buzzing energy that still manages to feel relaxed and inviting. Perfect for a night out with friends or a date night spot to impress. The real stars are the cocktails. Every single drink I've had here has been next-level - beautifully balanced, creative, and full of flavor. The bartenders are true artists who clearly care about what they're doing. I mean...just look at all the awards behind the bar - year after year of trophies. The bartenders will walk you through the menu, which they update every 6 months! The current menu features new creations, and the best of past menus if you want to go down memory lane. But regardless, everything is perfection. Service is fantastic, the music is always on point, and the whole experience feels thoughtful and high-end without being pretentious. If you're in Mexico City and love a great cocktail, Licorería Limantour is an absolute must. It earns its reputation as one of the best bars in the world - and then some. Cheers :)
I had drinks at Limantour with my mom and a friend a week or so ago on a Friday afternoon. The cocktail bar is in a very convenient location - right on Av. Álvaro Obregón in the heart of Roma Norte. We'd be staying near by and had walked past it several times and it always looked like a good time. We arrived around 5pm on a Friday, and we got seated at a hightop table near the front. The service was great throughout - very friendly and attentive. (This is a bar you can make a reservation at, but we just walked in since it was early in the day.) The menu was very cool - one side had illustrations/pictures of the cocktails on the menu; the other side had descriptions of the cocktails. Our server was also really helpful - telling us which drinks were sweeter, stronger, more savory, N/A... Between the three of us, we tried maybe 5 or 6 of their cocktails, and all of them were very good. The bar had great vibes (although perhaps a touch too loud to bring moms to!), and we had a great time. I'd happily return.
Randomly came across this bar which I knew about but was not intentionally looking for during my trip. It is a really nice and modern yet antique classy looking spot. Small and feels intimate even in the shared bar table. The staff is nice and welcoming. They had a wait but we were able to enter and do the standing bar, did not take more than 7 ish mins for us to be seated in one of the shared tables right behind us. The drinks are "pricey" per CDMX standards but well priced for the quality. We tried the Peach Tokyo and Anana Vintage. Presentation was 10/10, flavor 10/10, quality 10/10 and they were both strong and well balanced in flavor. Worth the price honestly. The bathrooms are unisex and really elegant
When you think of vibey, this is the place to be. Because we were a walk in of a group of 7, they got us into a space that was inside the bar, like a secret little kitchen and that was real cool. There were two bartenders tending to about 2 different groups and the experience was very intimate and awesome. The decor is lovely, drinks were delicious, and staff was great and fed off our energy. We realized a day after they did end up charging us 3 extra drinks but we had so much fun that we didn't even care. Mistakes happen.
Gets pretty busy so would recommend a reservation. The drinks were all pretty sweet but on point if you're looking for a desserty drink. The oregano was really unique, like a pizza.
Was excited to check out this bar after seeing it on the world's best bars list. I hadn't made a reservation but was able to get seated at the bar. I saw a long line when I was leaving, so I would highly recommend making a reservation as it's very popular. The bartender explained the menu to us - they have rotating seasonal drinks and permanent drinks. Their current seasonal theme was inspired by Mexican street snacks. I decided to get the sweet potato inspired drink. My drink was so unique and well balanced. I got the oregano drink for my second drink. It was delicious too and I enjoyed the savory component to it. Highly recommend Limantour!
This is a review for the Licoreria Limantour experience. You can book this reservation online. Upon checking in, you are shown into the back room. This is a separate private space (only 5 parties at a time). Therefore, we couldn't really explore the rest of the Limantour space. The private space was really nice. It definitely felt exclusive and trendy. There is a pull out drawer of alcohol on display. You can see the two bartenders mixing drinks. I wish we were able to watch them do their magic (since we could only see their backs). For the menu, in addition to the classic cocktails, Licoreria has a seasonable menu for cocktails and tastings. We tried all of the seasonal cocktails (Aeroplane, Cha-Cho, Mr Paloma, and Gin/Ger) as well as the Japanese whiskey flight. The whiskey flight experience was nice. You try 3 different types and it's chosen by the bartender. The bartender explains the drinks as well as why it was selected. They will place the bottle on your table while you enjoy so that's a good opportunities to take pictures and review the bottle. Overall, great experience with the promptness and personality of the staff

The best part about being on vacation is that it is rarely ever about doing anything in a new culture - it's strictly about finding out just how much alcohol you can really drink and still navigate your way back to your homeland. Sounds pretty easy, I'm sure. But then you gotta remember: you traveled here alone!! So pack your bags and leave that social anxiety at home, cuz you are going on an AADVEEENTUUUUURE!! WOOHOO!! Anyway, I'm probably never gonna order another cocktail in my life and just stick to beers and shots. Toooo much sugar, cuz!

The drinks are really well made and balanced. Grab a few drinks and then go get tacos near by is my recommendation!
We all came here after a night out of dancing and eating. I think were were all wanting to be out and we finally found a place that was still opened and had space for table of 6! They sat us upstairs at the window, perfect view and perfect location. Drinks were yummy and innovative and our servers were so cute and attentive! Highly recommended!!! The plus side was they were only a few minutes walk from our Hotel!!
Ranked number 7 bar in the world via the world's 50 best list. Located in Roma Norte. Reservations recommended but if you arrive before opening, you may be able to get a walk in. Current menu, Ida y Vuelta, emphasizes drinks with Oaxacan ingredients. Bar features two levels with windows that fill the whole wall and are open. Bartender who served us was friendly but not as personal as I would have liked for such a high ranked business. Bartender was also a bit fumbly - kept dropping his jigger and other random small tools. Fluffy paloma - tequila herradura ultra, watermelon cordial, grapefruit juice, pink peppercorn salt - image in paloma but with the added refreshingness of watermelon. Margarita al pastor - altos plata tequila, cointreau, taco mix, lime - enjoyed this one. Image a margarita with another depth of savory flavor. Overall, it was a really neat bar with highly inventive cocktails. Beautiful and lively space. Just wish the bartender was a bit more on their game given the bar's reputation.
Every night of my last trip to Mexico City,on the walk back to my hotel in Roma Norte-I would walk by this bar and every night it was straight popping off and I kept telling the wife " before we leave,we got to hit this bar up". Well on the night before we left,we finally squeezed this bar into our itinerary and man, am I glad we did. This bar was so freaking cool. The ambiance felt great-there was an energy in the room.The staff was so awesome,so friendly-they offered to make us anything we wanted,even drinks that were not on the menu. They would ask us, what type of cocktails we liked, what liquors, what we didn't like and just come up with a drink on the spot-they were a very impressive staff.I also liked how they would make drinks as a team, one person did one part of it, then passed it to another person who would handle another part,by the time it got to us , the entire team had a hand in making our drinks-it was kinda odd but amusing at the same time. The crowd was definitely touristy as I didn't see very many locals at this bar ,though did run into a woman traveling on business from Sacramento and I thought that was just the most random thing ever. I think the coolest part of this bar on this visit was about halfway through our time there, the bartender asked if we wanted to see their "speakeasy" in the back of the bar-so he took us in the back and stopped us at this kind of nondescript door and opened it and it took us to a speakeasy in the back that contained the bar's rarest alcohols and another bar that was totally isolated from the main bar-was a really cool experience. In closing, If you ever find yourself in the Roma Norte district of Mexico City, I highly recommend visiting Limantour bar and ask them to take you to the speakeasy-it's an awesome experience. PS-I almost forgot,just to validate my feelings on this bar-they have won a Top 50 bar award globally for like the last 5 years straight-a very special spot and a must visit in the bar scene in Roma Norte. read more
Drinks were really good - especially the whisky sour!! Would pass on the chips and guacamole. We came at 11p on a Friday and only waited 5 mins. Would recommend! Staff was also super nice and recommended other bars in the area too. read more

This is a super cool bar with great music and drinks. We were seated a few minutes after our reservation time and we were taken upstairs. The upstairs was cozy and it was fairly empty when we were seated. The server was quick to come over and offer us water and drinks. I ordered the mosaico de gelatina cocktail and chefs kiss - it was delicious! I left that glassss clean. Service was great and the menu were cute. We were there about an hour and we had a fun time. read more

Of all the top 3 bars in CDMX, I liked this one the best! Drinks were solid. Ambiance was more on the casual side, but allowed seating for large groups. Even the bathroom was lovely and had a wonderful fragrance. Food is mid -- but drinks, great! I'd come back again. Their menu was large enough for multiple rounds of drinks, and more!! read more
When I heard this place was named one of the 50 best bars in the world (ranked #7 in 2023), I was skeptical. After all, I've had a lot of good cocktails in New York. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by Limantour! I ordered the watermelon cocktail and it was incredibly delicious and super refreshing after a busy day exploring Mexico City. My friend ordered the Fluffy Paloma, and I loved that one as well. I'd definitely recommend coming here if you can. We walked in late afternoon on a Sunday and were able to snag seats. The service was terrific too! read more
a very popular bar in CDMX I think we might have visited another location a different time drinks were good! not too stiff but very flavorful and fun for folks looking for an experience, did not have reservation but we were able to be seated 2 of us quickly alot of people standing with drinks which is popular and meeting others we were definitely not trying to do that the appetizers menu looked so amazing we had to try the croquette very delicious! its a great place next to small taco spots and other popular joints so we ended our 4 bar hop adventure at this spot read more

pretty large for a cocktail bar, lots of seating, a few outdoor tables. We tried 8 drinks - all were great, very inventive, all well balanced and presented nicely. Service was pretty slow (was not busy when we were there) but we just ordered the second round when the first came. read more
Our first round of drinks were excellent and we thought it lived up to their status of being one of the best cocktail bars in the world. However, the next round of drinks was definitely disappointing. No one liked their drinks and one tasted so bad, like children's medication, that we sent it back and asked for another one. The waiter did not seem happy to take it back, and se were surprised that when the check came, they had charged us for the undrinkable drink, which they don't do elsewhere. The place was so busy that we had to flag down our waiter whenever we needed something like to pay the check or help with the menu. It wasn't the best place and I'm not sure I would come back despite its stellar reputation. read more

Came by on a Sunday evening right when they opened at 6pm as we hoped to snag a walk-in seat and we were lucky to be seated on one of the few patio tables they have. We were disappointed that they didn't have any of their signature cocktails available but they did have their classic drinks and the owner/bartender of James Beard winner Julep from Houston for a pop up. We ended up ordering the Jamaica Mezcal as well as the bartender's choice from the pop up Julep menu. The Jamaica Mezcal was great and had the perfect amount of sweetness for me. The Julep cocktail had an interesting flavor that incorporated mushrooms so it had a little earthy spin. Overall nice experience but we really wished that we could have tried their signature drinks. It's definitely a lively atmosphere and try to get a reservation to sit inside so you get more of the ambiance of the spot. read more

This was the first and only bar we hit up when in Mexico City. There's so many options to choose from and they provide a cool booklet describing all their cocktails. Each section is organized through spirit. I don't exactly remember what I got but it had gin, grapefruit, and sparkling water in it. I really enjoyed my drink. The ambiance is great and I could see how this place can be packed on weekends. We came on a Tuesday and it was very busy. The average drinks cost about $12-$15 USD which isn't cheap for Mexico. Overall, I do recommend this spot since I really enjoyed it. It's on the Main Street, obregon, in Roma Norte. read more

The best drinks in Mexico City and the prices can't be beat! The atmosphere of this place is always so welcoming. The staff are patient and helpful, the music is great, and the vibe is always right. I love bringing friends here when they're visiting the area. A cool thing that I like too, is that if you are wanting a certain drink that's not listed on the menu the bartenders will craft one specially for you. I cannot rave about this place enough! It's definitely a must visit when visiting cdmx. Make a reservation though if going on Friday or the weekend. As it can get full. read more

Cocktails are on point. We came here twice during our time in CDMX. The first time, I ordered a Vicuña, very good. And also a mezcal old fashion... tasted more of bananas but it was a very different taste then the regular whiskey old fashion. One bartender, friendly and very informative. Second time I decided to get a mezcal sour and it was good. Very well made. Drinks are very affordable. Balanced and not too sweet. read more
LOVED! We stopped here for drinks on our first night in CDMX and man, it was amazing. Our first two drinks were spectacular! My wife had La Rose and I have the Jamaica Mezcal. La Rose is so delicately flavored with Guava but with a very clean finish. My wife said "this is the best cocktail I have ever had in my life." I loved my Jamaica Mezcal too! The flavor was amazing, and the drinks were strong! The second round was the Mr. Pink and the Clear Dove. While these were still good, they didn't hit the mark quite the same. We sat outside but the inside has a super chill vibe and I would highly recommend you visit!! read more
