Family owned restaurant who does amazing pasta and pizza dishes. Always love a good old Margherita pizza from one of my favourite places in Oshawa. Run by a lovely couple Nick and Carmela Fazio, they also offer pastas and sauces to go so you can cook their amazing food at home! I love their pizza - crust is good and they are quite generous with the toppings. Definitely a worthy place to try if you're ever in the neighbourhood. We moved so we haven't been to La Pizza in a few years but the stars aligned and we were able to pick up pizza for dinner. This place still makes a great pizza..it's all about the crust for me and my wife. Any place can throw toppings on some dough so making a really good pizza dough is what we love. The dough is really thin and chewy..it is perfect. We also love that garlic dip that is provided free of charge! My kids don't eat crust so I just take their crust and dunk it into the garlic dip. Chicken wings were okay but i prefer them fried and the garlic bread sticks were disappointing because it lacked flavour but who cares..the pizza rocked! No need to post photos of the pizza because you have to taste it..but the boxes are colourful and the kids love the pizza boxes. read more

Only place we order pizza from! The taste and the quality cannot be beat. The fried raviolis are huge and delicious - a must have. The pizza itself is the best of the best, we usually build our own pizza but have ordered the bruschetta pizza a few times which is so good with the fresh tomato mixture. My boyfriend likes to go pick up our orders because the owner and staff are so friendly and enjoyable to talk with. I can't recommend this place enough. I recently moved to Oshawa from Ajax. Growing up with Pizza Pinos I've found it incredibly difficult to find a good quality non "commercial" pizza. My search has ended!! La Pizza and Pasta is by far one of the BEST pizzas I've had in a long time. I ordered a medium Hawaiian pizza and it came with a home made garlic dipping(I want more). The Pizza was hot, fresh, and reminded me of when I was in Europe. You could definitely tell that the ingredients were that of QUALITY!!! All in all, I will be ordering many more pizzas from La Pizza & Pasta, maybe it's time for a loyalty program/card!!! read more

This is my go to pizza spot in Oshawa. Much better quality than any chain pizza joints, good service and inviting atmosphere. Make sure you order early if you're ordering at dinner time, the busyness of this restaurant is a testament to how good the pies are. They also offer pre-made frozen Italian dishes that are great to keep in your freezer at home. My only regret is that I didn't find this place sooner. read more

Reminds me of those pizza places down in little Italy a bit. Just take out and delivery. I like the veal sandwich although I dont like banana peppers for a veal parmesan sandwich. The pizzas dynamite and probably the nicest in durham and the frozen pastas, soups and lasagnas are pretty damn good too and makes for an easy weekday meal. The Don Fazio is definitely the Il Capo of Durham. The deduction of a star is a result of them not honoring a coupon they had the Venggo site and they should fix up store front area. read more

Ordered both regular and thin crust - both are great! Also, try the meatballs - truly a taste experience. Take out and delivery only here. Love this place. I found it after I was disappointed with my previous pizza place. Great pizza even better calzones. They also make homemade pastas and sell in store. The lasagna is probably the best lasagna ive ever had; ur missing out if u dont try. I think she said that they make them fresh on Thursday nights. La Pizza is a family run take out that has the highest quality pizza I've seen. Their policy is you bring in someone else's pizza you are not happy with and they will replace it with theirs, because once you eat theirs you won't eat elsewhere. They have some of the most unique variations and combinations I've ever seen. Pricing is about average. A little higher than the big box places, but far better quality. They also do a contest each month, but don't advertise about it. It's a French/Italian ownership and brings quality to the pizza market. read more
