We love trying local businesses whenever we are in a new area. When we came in, we noticed a lot of regulars and I can see why people keep coming back for their pizza. The dough was thick and crispy with just the right amount of oilyness. A good amount of toppings and cheese. Texturally I would say this was nearly perfect. However, I thought it was lacking a little flavour. Also I'm not sure if it was because there was too much sauce or if it was because it was piping hot, but some of the cheese and toppings kept sliding off but it was easy to just put it back on.   Overall, if you are looking for a nice freshly baked pizza, definitely give this place a try! read more

We grabbed a large deluxe pizza from this place and found it to be pretty good! Staff were nice, pizza was quick, and made fresh! it was about $20 for the pizza and an additional $1.50 per pizza. It wasn't bad for the price but I didn't have the chance to try the pizza until it was cold and so don't have a good grasp on the flavor. It seemed not bad but wasn't extraordinary or stand out in particular. So overall, I give it a 4/5. read more

located stouffville is this no frill pizza joint. You can purchase their pizza in slices or as a whole pizza and price are very fair! We tried their pepperoni slice and meat lover slice and they definitely do not cheap out on their cheese and toppings!!! the dough is also super crispy and tasty. The only issue i had was the sauce was a bit salty but still was so delicious! The asian lady at the counter was also super friendly and helpful! not many seating but there are a couple of tables for people who want to eat their pizza hot and fresh! definitely will be returning! read more

At the time I write this the reviews are 4.5 stars. Either the folks in Canada have a very low bar for pizza or this is the best the area has to offer. We start by ordering a cheese pizza and ask them to add Ricotta as a topping. The Asian women at the register says "We don't have Ricotta" We look up at the menu and they sell Calzones. Ingredients of calzones: Ricotta, Mozzarella and dough. Ok they don't have ricotta. #rolls eyes# The plain cheese pizza arrives. There is so much sauce under the cheese that the entirety of the cheese on a slice just slides off onto the plate. If this is 4.5 star pizza in Canada then its time to move south. read more

Their Calzones look good baked fresh with cheese and tomato sauce, toppings extra. Be sure to pick up a few Brio bottles to go with the pizza. Closed on Mondays. Local delivery available minimum $18. After seeing the great reviews I knew I had to try Nonno's when I was in the area! I finally got a couple pizzas today and I can say that the reviews are justified! I'm not a pizza expert by any means and it took me a while to figure out what really set Nonno's apart from your conventional chain pizza. The ingredients are fresh, the sauce is good, but I think what hooked me is the crust. The crust has enough crispness to it to hold a slice's shape and has a delicious chew to it! I'll have to go out of my way more often to get Nonno's pizza and I'll have to try their calzones and veal sandwiches!! read more

Nonno Crupi's Pizza used to be in Markham before the moved up to North Stouffiville. So being the only decent non chain pizza joint in the area, I totally understand the high rating as a local neighbourhood place. No frills, good ingredients, friendly service. Dropping by here after servicing my car for lunch one afternoon. A lot of truckers popped in for take out or eat in. Parking for sure can be a challenge in this small parking lot so a lot of people just park in roadside or wherever space without blocking others. My Deluxe Pizza Slice is A-OK. It is usually hard to rate a pizza if it is not fresh from the oven. But at least Nonno Crupi's has a high turnover so it was still good. No need to flock to the pizza chains in the area, because this place is making sure Stouffville isn't stuck with Pizza Pizza bullshit. Crispy pizza crust, with a tangy sauce and fresh toppings are only missing the necessary Caesar salad on the side. Came here on a recommendation from a friend and glad we grabbed dinner here to go. I was feeling like having pizza so we swung by half an hour before close and they did not have veggie but they did have almost all the slices available. I grabbed the deluxe slice, my friend got a cheese slice and an order of wedges. The deluxe slice was really good and the pizza dough is flavorful which is always important to me. I have to say the slice was huge and good portion. Deluxe was 5.75. The wedges took 15 minutes to bake and was a bit disappointing because it was not crispy at all, very soft. I wouldn't order it again but I'll be back next time to order the veal! Lots of options here and even getting a full pie looked to be worth it as well read more

About a month ago, I fell upon this amazing gem of a place. Traffic stopped on the 404 and my maps directed me to go across a road I wasn't familiar with to Hwy 48. Thank goodness for that detour because I fell upon Nonno Crupi's Pizza and decided to stop. I learned from a young child, travelling with my parents who taught me that if you don't know where to eat, assess by checking out parking lots and go where it's busy. That's what I did. Today I was on my way home from Toronto and decided to take this route just so I could stop here. My husband wants to to go this way all the time now lol! I usually have a cooler with freezer packs and or ice so this works out because I want to eat with my husband, not on the road. I ask for the veal cold and the buns separate as my drive from Nonno's to my home is about 1.5 hours away. I put it in the oven, covered with foil at 375-400 for 20ish minutes. The veal is the best I've had, and way better than California Sandwiches. California Sandwiches are good but tough in recent years but Nonno Crupi's veal is tender and just so amazingly perfect!! Next time I'm buying the veal and my husband wants me to pick up a calzone. read more

I got to admit that it wasn't the pizza that drew me to this tiny establishment in the middle of nowhere just off the side of the road. Rather, it was their large sign for veal on a bun and my ever increasing hunger. Thankfully, all the patrons before me ordered pizza so I changed my mind and got a slice of pizza instead. Good thing because it was absolutely delicious!! Throughout the meal, there was a steady stream of hungry people ordering their own perfect slice so you know you've made a good life decision. The pizza itself is pretty perfect. The crust was thin, crisp, and solid enough to carry all the fresh toppings and tangy sauce. Heated up to order, it comes piping hot and the cheese melted all over. You can even get your piece 'well done' if you like it on the crispier side. After hearing about this little establishment for years I had to try it. To date, I have eaten several items on this menu. So here we go... 1) The calzone is amazing. Old school. Just delish. Make sure you are hungry because this is quite large. The basic is cheese. You can add all kinds of options to this i.e.): pepperoni, mushrooms, and bacon plus many more.... 2) The Veal sandwich. You must try this. You can add mushrooms, onions, and peppers etc..... YUM. 3) Chicken wings are a very nice little added nibbly. 4) The pizza slices. Drive up to this location at noon. Sit, watch and learn. 5) Potato wedges. Very basic with a dipping sauce. Meh... When you see all kinds of roads department staff and construction workers and truck drivers going here. You know it is good and very reasonably priced. I recommend the super pizza. Check out the menu. It offers all kinds of catering options. * I have not checked out the restroom. This place nailed it. One of the better veal sandwiches I've had. Firstly the bread they use is fantastic. Perfectly soft and toasted. And did I say it was huge! Veal - very generous portion of meat. I see a lot of places that cheap out on the meat. Not this place. Well breaded, deliciously seasoned and generous. Great tasting sauce that's not too acidic. Best Mom and Pop Shop that caters to your taste variations to the "T". I've been eating the pies and sandwiches from them since the opening, Never had a bad thing come out of their kitchen. They are a little pricey but they were willing to make any combination we suggested and managed to nail it.
