LOOK NO FURTHER FOR YOUR CUSTOM PIÑATA NEEDS! We came here based on the great reviews looking for a piñata with the possibility of having one custom made. Upon walking in, we were warmly greeted by the woman at the counter as she helped someone else. They have a vast array of party supplies as well as many piñatas in-stock. After looking around a bit, we unfortunately did not find a piñata that fit our party theme. We then inquired how much time they needed for a custom piñata and she let us know they required 10 days. Alas, we were a week away from our party and as we were deciding what we were going to do, she offered to make a phone call to see if they could accommodate that. We were in luck! We were told they would do it for us, no problem and we showed a picture of what we would like and I mentioned the colors we preferred. When we picked it up the following week, we were truly blown away at what a great job they did for us!!! It was larger than expected and a really great price! We cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be back for our future party's! read more

I ordered balloons from there once I got home one of the balloons was already pop and they gave me a new balloon unfortunately by 6 PM the balloons were already Disinflated ,we had them inside in the cool area ! We paid 26 for 2 number balloons. And all for nothing the birthday girl couldn't even enjoy her balloons because they were in the floor by the time she got home .. read more

Horrible!!! Would not recommend. I am doing a surprise party for my husband and went the day before to order balloons here even though I was strongly advised not to go here but, I have never had problems in the past so I went. Today I sent my brother in law to get the balloons and he comes back and tells me do these look flat? The #3 was completely deflated the number one looked like it was days old. I called and was told they would fill back up after 10-15 mins didn't sound write to me. I told the gentleman it's flat and he said if it was not defected in the store they are not responsible, and nothing they can do. We looked for holes and there were none! I let him know and same response so I told him I would go somewhere else. Lucky we took it to another party store and they told me the air had just came out and were able to refill it for me thank goodness, they even told me to bring the number 1 in and they would add air in it also since it didn't look properly filled. I don't think it would have been had for la Placita to have good customer service and them to ask me to just come back with the balloons and let them take a look and if it was something as simple as putting more air then do it. Defiantly do not suggest this place! read more

While at the counter, the main woman in charge and the person helping her were discussing on how much to charge for every item and raising the prices from the sticker price. read more

La Placita not only had the best prices in the area (BY FAR), but their customer service was also amazing. They were able to order a few specialty balloons for me with short notice, and were even kind enough to send me pictures of some balloons inflated so I could see the colors, since I wasn't local.
