I bring my dog here on a regular basis. Though probably not often enough. I always see Pam and she does a great job with my little Bella!

One of our dogs has always had anxiety issues when taken to the groomer and has improved since seeing Lisa on a regular basis.

On 2/15, we went on our first vacation in 10yrs. We had trusted HA and chose to board our dog,…read moreJasper, there. On 2/20, roughly 50 dogs of various sizes, ages, and breeds were let out together before bed. Reputable facilities separate dogs at least by size for what should be obvious reasons. We were assured that bigs and smalls were separated, important to us bc Jasper had never been around small dogs, except at size separated dog parks, where he rushed the fence toward the smalls - despite what the owners say, they were aware of this. On 2/20, Jasper was showing signs of distress. His distress signals were ignored and he allegedly lashed out at a 10lb, 16y/o dog(why was a tiny senior out with 49 other dogs?). There were only 2 employees monitoring, 1 in training. idk what happened to Jasper at this time. It took 45 minutes for the injured dog to get to the ER vet (AERC). He did not survive. I am so sorry for their loss. This is a horrific tragedy, which could have been avoided had the facility acted properly. My heart is broken for them. HA said they were going to review the footage they had. HA had also told us that we needed to contact AERC. Multiple AERC staff told us the same thing: This is not Jasper's fault. This happened due to the negligence of HA. They also told me that HA had approved treatment and accepted responsibility for all financials. The staff who took the dog to AERC were evasive when AERC asked what happened. I was never contacted by any eyewitness about this - after trying to get the story from the owners, I turned to social media, and only yesterday felt I finally had a semi-complete picture. The extensive footage claim is a lie. Whatever happened, happened in a blind spot. We had a friend pick up Jasper ASAP, concerned for his safety. I had emailed HA with this info, and also that I would not be paying, given the situation. Jasper was given to our friend, but they didn't ask her name, let alone check ID. They said it was fine for her to go without paying. The owners have since threatened to file a claim for this, saying that my dog was safe and well-cared for during his stay, which I dispute. The friend who picked him up said that Jasper was timid, shaky, exhausted, and had a subconjunctival hemorrhage in his L eye. W/o of signs of infection, this generally occurs because of trauma. I'll never know what happened. As of this writing, his eye is still healing. The owners claim that we didn't tell them about Jasper and needing separation with small dogs, that we refused to pay the hospital bill - all lies. Anita told me explicitly that HA policy was to separate by size, and she told AERC the same thing. But I have found that it's common for the owners to allow undertrained staff to monitor packs of 50-60 dogs. You can see it on the stream. On 2/21, I took several screenshots of a small dog out in the yard with several large dogs. No staff. This dog wasn't the first to die while under their care. This is the SECOND time something like this has happened (this was confirmed by public safety officer). I have submitted a report to several agencies and animal welfare orgs. I believe that HA endangers dogs and staff through patterns of negligence, bullying, and lack of training. I have been in communication with DVMs and other animal professionals about this situation. When Anita responds to this with more lies, I'd like you to know I have receipts. Jasper is a dopey, loving, playful, athletic hound. I have never seen him display an ounce of aggression - I have two children under 5. I am an experienced dog owner. I have never seen him act out because I have never put him in a position where his distress became overwhelming. HA doesn't train staff, nor do they take accountability when they make mistakes. This isn't the first dog to die in their care, but I think it should be the last. I also wanted to shout out HA employee Katie E. Thank you for posting that review publicly, online, and in writing. I let Anita know how helpful it was in establishing a pattern of negligence and lying at HA.

When I have stopped in, I haven't been greeted by anyone or had anyone ask if we needed help. I have seen a random lady walking around, talking and laughing to herself loudly-- no, she wasn't on the phone. We love checking out the different fish and animals. Plenty of variety in things to buy. The thing I dislike the most is the sad lives of all the beta fish that sit and float in little plastic containers. I always feel so bad for them.

Our first experience was with a rude groomer who when watching her groom someone else's pet, I thought she must not like dogs. We stayed only to find out she apparently doesn't like people either. Now today, made a grooming appt and in effort to have the owner of the dog, a teenager, be accountable, asked him to drop off his dog. Apparently minors aren't allowed. When I made a suggestion to the manager Dani, that they tell people on the phone that an adult needs to do drop off, she said that's too much to have to tell people because "that's such a minor thing". A simple apology would have sufficed or been appreciated. No apology, no simple "sorry for the inconvenience". And she kept repeating, it's such a minor thing...my pet's care is a "minor thing". I get it lady, rude is what they do, and it clearly starts with management. With the high cost of everything, a little courtesy would have gone a long way.

He was recently neutered and had complications which required him to wear a cone longer then usual. He's also a digger which doesn't help. Prior to his neuter, I had scheduled two grooming appointments knowing how hard it is to get scheduled with a good groomer. The appt. was cancelled because of the neuter. Kayce was pretty badly matted and luckily I found Zoomin Groomin and they sent Elicia out within a few days. Elicia made Kayce look like a Tuxedo dog. Never thought it could happen because he's very opposed to brushing. The whole process was completely stress free. Hoping to set up routine appts. with Zoomin Groomin. Thank you! I don't mean a few loose hairs--simply petting her head left my hand covered in fur because she was still wet. I texted the groomer immediately and asked if she could finish drying and deshedding her after working on my second dog. Instead of addressing my concern, I was initially sent a photo of the hair that came off in the tub. She did take my dog back to continue drying and deshedding, but the end result was still disappointing. I also paid for a bath, haircut, groom, and deshedding treatment for my second dog. Unfortunately, the haircut was below expectations, and both dogs' nails were left noticeably long. They appeared to have only been lightly ground and were still square instead of being properly trimmed and rounded. The total came to $425, and I was also charged additional fees for extra brushing and extra care, making the service feel extremely overpriced. To make matters worse, both dogs are still shedding heavily despite both receiving and being charged for deshedding treatments. I specifically chose a mobile groomer because one of my dogs has anxiety and was willing to pay a premium for convenience and quality. Unfortunately, I did not receive the level of service I paid for. I left with two dogs that were still shedding excessively, nails that were not properly finished, and a haircut that did not meet expectations. Overall, I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this service. After posting my review and contacting support, management responded very quickly. They acknowledged that the additional charges should have been explained and agreed that my dog should not have been returned still wet. They adjusted my invoice to address my concerns. I am still disappointed with the quality of the original grooming, especially the deshedding service, my dog's nails, and the unexpected charges. However, I appreciate that my concerns were addressed promptly and that a resolution was reached. I hope my next experience reflects the level of service I expected the first time.
