Arrived on a Saturday about 715 pm was seated about a minute or so. We was passing through town and decided to stop in because the name and logo looks like one in Talladega Alabama, which is about 50 mins from here. The inside looks about the same and after that that only thing that same. Host was no friendly, well the staff was not friendly at all. Got taquitos and pollo loco ( said the be spicy on menu). The spicy part of the meal was the salsa that was more a liquid. It was burn tip of tongue. The taquitos was all broken when got to table. They even had powdered cheese on a bowl (think it was Parmesan) the lady that was getting out dirty dishes was the friendly of them all. They seemed to be in a rush to get use out, they close at 9pm. In town for one night and this place was right by the hotel. Despite some of the bad reviews, we chose to go with the good ones. We were not disappointed. This place was clean, very good service and the food was great! The salsa was NOT watery.....it was thick and fresh. We got the chicken quesadilla and the Texas chimichanga. Both were very good. Went at about 7 on a Monday night for a to go order. I saw our check was higher than it should've been so I calculated the total based on their online menu the next day (I called and they said the online menu was the correct menu). Our check was $10 higher than it should've been. Also, they said there's a 6% charge on to go orders, but they charged us 10%, and that was $11, which is a total overcharge of $21. When I called they pretty much said "I don't know I don't know" and offered no remedy. Additionally, the servings for the food were extremely small, and the food was very bland. This place is a great Mexican restaurant that is easily accessible from the Highway. The good is super good and the atmosphere is amazing. Trust me it is really challenging to get to the bottom of your drink because they are always checking on you with great service. The Parking can be a little hectic when packed but other than that this is a must go if in town. read more

Over priced food and the worst service by far, brought a co worker there for dinner, waitress never came back to check on us once food was served, Had to go to bar to ask for a refill and more napkins. Okay first a Mexican restaurant in Alexander city AL, I said I have to check it out. Parking could be a problem. It was raining on a Wed. night and I was able to find one spot to park. The restaurant is not very big and does have a bar but did not appear if for sitting at. It was on the empty side so getting a table was not problem. Service well I wold say don't expect much! They only had 2-3 selections of beer, I did not get asked if I wanted another once I was finished with my first one, I did not get my water refilled, I did not get asked how was my meal once it was brought to me and I had to ask for the check. So service eah! The food was not bad however, I ordered the fish tacos. There were supposed to be three fish tacos. They were served with three soft shells open in the foil overlapping each other then the toppings including the fish was added. The fish was enough for two tacos but was presented in the preparation to look like three tacos. No there was no eye candy what so ever! the bill was cheap $16, which may be why I had the service I received. Sauces are well seasoned, the wait staff is very attentive (I never had flag someone down for more chips or refills), and the prices are reasonable. We stopped here after a day of boating on Lake Martin. We stopped due to the ratings on Yelp! and wanted to try it. We got seated right away and was brought over chips and salsa. A girl took our drink order and brought them over. The water tasted a bit funny, so I ordered a diet coke. We then ordered a Steak Quesadilla as an appetizer from the girl. Another person brought it out and it was yummy! We waited about 15 mins for another new person to come take our order for dinner. I think each person there had a different job and it was confusing, but we ordered and I got a chicken chimichanga. While we waited we got our chips filled which were good. I thought the salsa was a tad spicy. Our food finally arrived and I cut into my dish. I ate a few bites and looked down to what appeared to be a yellow rubber band. I picked it up and it was. I stopped a guy who was the manager and showed him. He told me it was probably from the cilantro since they come bundled, but I didn't have any cilantro on my plate, just chicken. He apologized and took my plate. He asked if I wanted anything else and I was so turned off I said no thanks. He did remove my dinner from our check and tried to make it right.
