Water throughout hotel was lukewarm for showers(had rooms on second and third floor), toilet ran continuously, we told the front desk our issues and they claimed the matters were fixed but nothing had changed, we were given 2 towels for four people and was unable to get more; overall a bad experience and will not recommend read more

Stayed here for one night this weekend. The price of the room was $201 and that was with a military discount. Looks like they were still doing some construction. I'm guessing because of the damn from the storm a few months back. There was a sign up basically saying theirs no housekeeping. The room did not the cleanest. I checked in pretty late on a Tuesday night and immediately started working, and jumped in bed around 1:30am ( so I didn't check the cleanliness as normal). I woke up the next morning with 3 bites in a row on my side (immediately thought possible bed bugs). That morning I had to get to a client's office so I didn't have time to deal with it. Got back to the hotel after working in the office all day and immediately jumped back in the desk and started working again. However, before I went to get in bed around 1:30am again, I wanted to check to see if I could find any bugs. Thank God I did not, but when I pulled back the sheets there was hair at the end, then I walked around to the other side and found a random phone case. So I knew the room hadn't been cleaned properly. I went down to the front desk around 1:45am, and Katie was so sweet trying to help me, she gave me the keys for another room. I take all my stuff from the one room to the other, and when I walk into that room there is a smell, but I am so tired I was just going to deal with it and the sheets and bathroom were clean. Well then I open the closet door to hang up my clothes and there is a bag of trash full of food and it smelled so bad once I opened the door. I went back downstairs and Katie was so apologetic, she gave me another set of keys. I then went to that room before I even moved my stuff. That room had hair in the bathtub, and at this point it's 2am, and I just grab all my stuff and head back to the front desk. Katie again was so apologetic and ended up moving me to a whole other floor. I moved from the 3rd floor to the 2nd, and that room was clean although the AC had a funny smell, but at this point I just needed to sleep. By the elevator on the first floor smells like pee, and the carpets in the hallways are disgusting. I could not even get out of the shower and walk to the bed barefoot without my feet being dirty. This hotel is dirty and should shut down and put time and effort into getting it to where it should be for their guests. read more

Applies to post-hurricane Ida. Welcoming and friendly staff were willing to go the extra mile to help, despite long work hours. One of the only lodgings with availability for working folks. Rooms satisfactorily comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Despite supply issues, they did a good job of keeping up normal operations. Breakfast was less than usual because of these supply issues, but provided a much-needed boost to the start of my day. read more

My friends and I only stayed here for one night and it was absolutely great! The hotel had awesome decor in the lobby. The hallways had a very modern color scheme. Our room was very clean and put together. The water pressure was great. We had more than enough towels. A 12:00 pm check out is always a plus and we didn't feel rushed at all to leave. What I also appreciated was that the entire hotel was 100% smoke-free! The staff that greeted and helped us were friendly and more than willing to help. The pool and hot tub looked appealing, but we didn't partake in any aquatic activities. The only cons were with the wi-fi and air conditioner. We literally had the air conditioner on high, constant fan set to 60 degrees and we were still warm. And we just turned the wi-fi off after it being so slow. This is the best La Quinta we have stayed at in a long time. If you are in the Houma area, stay here! read more

Probably the worst hotel I've slept in for at least the last 10 years. Very little lighting on the outside for starters, then there's the fresh pee smell in the hallway once you get off of the elevator. The elevator is unstable and feels like it's going to stop at any moment. Then there's the running water sound you can't help but here when your in the elevator. We noticed a roach by our door when we arrived, and when we left the roach was still there. The night shift guy was decent and pretty helpful. The few other staff you run into during your stay seem to act like your bothering them, when and if they act like your even seen. The bathroom door in the room had some orange yellow looking substance on it. If this is a true indication of how all or most La Quinta Inn's are, it will be a long time before we do it again. read more

Ghetto. Looks like an old refurbish at bottom dollar. No decor in the lobby. Dark, unwelcome paint. I may as well have stayed at a Motel 6! When I walked into my room and flipped the light switch, no light came on. I stumbled into a pitch dark room crashing into waste bins and lamps that weren't easy to turn on. Once the lights came on, I was sad to be there. I am accustomed to a different type of quality and this place really let me down. This afternoon when I arrived back, my key didn't work. I went back downstairs and waited for entry. Pathetic. I suppose this is what travelers to the South can expect?! I won't be back. read more

Even by La Quinta standards this hotel was pretty bad. The room in itself isn't very pleasing to look at. Not that it's the most important thing but still. When I walked down to get breakfast 90% was gone. They pretty much refused to refill anything at all. The pool/hottub wern't in the best condition either, pretty sure the water hadn't been changed/filtered in sometime. read more

We traveled to five hours to Houma, La for a wedding. I booked two rooms two months in advance. One for my husband and myself, the other for my mom. On check in we told the clerk we would be paying separately. One of the rooms were ready, the other was not. We told them no problem we would dress in my moms room for the wedding because it was not quite 3:00 pm. The clerk went on and checked us in and gave us our room key. At checkout I was told both rooms went on my credit card, and she couldn't back it off. Then she told me she didn't show me in my room. My credit card was charged for a no show, and I slept there all night. When then clerk tried to correct it, she charged me more than I had booked or signed for. When I asked why, she said she didn't know why there was s difference . I called back to speak to the manager three times, and was told he was not there, but would call me back. He never did. After the three calls, I received my credit for the additional amount charged to me. Our room was great, and the breakfast was great. They just need better customer service and additional training. And the manager should always return the call to resolve the problem. read more

fun spot. love you guys. you lose a point for just a few things. jacuzzi, cold. and the sink in the bathroom? cold water was a real pain to turn on. our phone also didn't work in the room. the remote for the tv was super weak, but hey, I didn't come here for the tellie. really comfy as always, and the staff was way over the top nice nice nice. everyone here is a winner. We stayed here for a weekend about two weeks ago in room 217. The front desk staff were very friendly! Also, they had a nice selection of choices for their breakfast that they offer the guests. At first everything seemed to be good but that didn't last. The weather was beautiful that weekend so we were looking forward to going to the pool but we were informed the pool was just cleaned but will not be open until march. When we got to our room, the room at first seemed cleaned. But as we got more settled we found that a couple of our 'clean' towels were actually dirty with mysterious stains on them. The doorway to the bathroom had really weird orangey splatters all over it and sink in our bathroom was leaking. My main complaint though was how noisy it was there. I did not get any sleep there. Both nights, the people above us sounded like they were pushing over their furniture and destroying their hotel room the entire night. Friday night when I called the front desk to complain about the noise levels they were very nice about it and told me they would go and talk to them. But the noises still kept happening. Saturday night, same loud noises. I had a 15 hour drive to make the next day so me getting sleep was important. So I called the front desk around 1 or 2 am to complain again and they kindly told me that they would go talk to them again. The loud, banging noises stopped for a bit but then started again an hour or so later. So I called the front desk again and she said she'd talk to them again but the noises I might be hearing now are the people who just got back from the Hercules Ball and heading back to their rooms. If I can hear ALL that noise from my room then they need to fix their rooms to reduce the noise. Besides the noise, we were rudely greeted by the house keeper. Saturday morning when she wanted to clean our room we were still in there getting ready so I ask if she can come back later. When we walked out of our rooms to go out she asked if we were 'checking out yet', we said no and went about our day. We came back that night and our room was never cleaned that day. The next day while getting ready, same thing happened. Housekeeper knocked while we were still getting ready and I asked if she can come back in a bit. We were able to hear the housekeeper and another housekeeper in the hallway complaining to each other. Once we left the room she asked us again if we were 'checking out yet'. Needless to say, our room wasn't cleaned at all while we were there. read more

We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff was friendly and efficient, check in was quick, and our room was clean and had everything we needed. The beds are so comfortable, I don't ever want to get up! There's a fridge and microwave in the room, as well as free wifi with a great connection. I really liked this place! read more
