Very good experience. Checked in on Saturday 3/22/25 and checked out Monday 3/24/25. Staff was very friendly, rooms were very clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good. There's a microwave and refrigerator in the room which is very convenient. Location is easily accessible from highway 27 with a few chain restaurants and stores near by. A bunch of displaced elderly people from an apartment complex arrived right when we were going to check in. The front desk was so understaffed (one person working) that it took them around fifteen to thirty minutes to check one person in. We couldn't wait the perceived amount of time to check in because we had made plans prior, so we called the hotel to cancel the charge, but they decided to charge us anyway. After thoroughly explaining the situation to a representative, we were told "the least that could be done was not to charge us." The representative then gave us a "managers number to call." It was the number to the front desk. Thinking it was a manager, we politely explained the situation about the understaffing the night before. The desk clerk was rude and insisted on charging the card. We will be disputing the charge, and never staying at another La Quinta again. read more

Good value Sebring stay This is a comfortable modern hotel with good facilities a short drive from restaurants, shopping, the Highlands Hammock State Park and the Sebring downtown area. Our king room had a super comfortable king bed and large flat screen TV, good bathroom, coffee/tea making facilities, fridge and microwave. This was our first time at a LaQuinta Inn as we were looking for a cheap one night stay that included a quick breakfast. It fit that bill as offered. It was also a newer establishment and had many nice reviews. Our rating was average to slightly higher than average as we are usually Marriott guests and know the competitor well. It was the small things at LaQuinta that can easily be updated to make it 4-5 stars. The very good are the rooms and most of the cleaning . Beds were fresh, slightly hard, and sit slightly high. Our room overlooked the pool and a preserve type area. The staff was wonderful and pleasant and in the background in case needed. The bathroom area was nice but tub had molded grout which should have been removed. The bathroom fan rattled and simply appeared to need the cover tightened. Hotel was a little noisy from pool area and hallways until late evening. The breakfast was ok, but had nothing unique and seemed lower quality than all other brands including Holiday Inn. Eggs appeared powdered, bacon appeared microwaved, and juices were in pitchers and not machine. No chocolate milk for kids. The waffle machine was the normal and worked best. So this was a solid effort and with little tweaks and updates could be much more. Based upon the price paid it was a nice overnight stay. That said, we personally like the Marriott experience more and likely would spend a little more in future to experience it. read more

If you're staying in Sebring, stay here. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. I won't lie, I'm a snob when it comes to my hotel stays. I don't do motels, and I have a lot of random picky criteria. This place was clean, cheap, and perfect for our large group. The staff was friendly, and our bed was comfortable. If I had one complaint, it would be that the front desk attendant was a little cagey about sheets for the pull out couch, but I can understand that people may steal them so you want to be extra careful. Overall it was a great stay. This hotel is centrally located near several local haunts (see my other reviews, they're within 2 miles) and is just the best place you could stay locally for convenience, cleanliness, and comfort. read more

I would not stay here again. It's the worst hotel experience I've had in recent memory. It could be worse if it was unsafe or straight up filthy, but it was bad. We picked this hotel because my mom had stayed there in the past and we knew it was nice/comfortable, we were in town for a funeral. She had also stayed at Inn on the Lakes before, and we thought La Quinta was a little more modern so we went with it. We arrived in our initial room and at first everything look really nice, apart from the bleach smell. We were very tired so got in bed for a little while. A few minutes in we noticed the bed was absolutely covered in pet hair. My husband has pet allergies so this was pretty upsetting. We understand the hotel is pet friendly, but we didn't expect our clothes to end up covered in dog hair. It was disgusting. I had already laid all my stuff out in the bathroom and unpacked, so I asked if we could please have someone change the bed. But there was one worker in the entire hotel at that time, she said there was no one to change the bed. This was around 4PM on a Friday. We were switched to another room, after the worker asked us to show her the pet hair. The second room seemed fine at first. The bed was very comfortable, and everything looked clean. Again, the smell of bleach and air freshener pretty much choked you upon entrance, I guess those are the main things they use to clean. Anyway, there was apparently a minor lizard infestation, because we found lizards in our bed and in the bathroom multiple times. They were babies so they were kind of cute, and it was better than roaches... but still. I've never run into this at a hotel before, and it really freaked me out when I was ready to go to sleep and a baby lizard was looking up at me from the covers. Basically at no point could I just relax and plop down into bed after a long day, because I had to constantly check if there were critters in the bed. It was also incredibly loud through the night both nights, we could hear all the noise coming from the third floor(we were on the second floor). The air conditioning was also extremely loud and kicked on and off all night. We didn't complain about this, because after seeing there was only one worker available we figured there was no way a maintenance guy would be present at night. The free breakfast is very bad. I'm not picky, but the sausage was badly microwaved, eggs looked really bad even though we were down there shortly after they were served, and the rest of the selections were just okay. The free wifi did not work for me the entire time we were there, that is a huge negative for me as I need to be able to check my email etc. for work, and the service in the hotel wasn't good. Everything in our room except the initial dog hair bed was "clean," but honestly I think the way they clean is just throwing bleach and air freshener where appropriate as mentioned. There was a strong smell of bleach for the entirety of our stay, it was really unpleasant. Other areas of the hotel looked a little dirty and run down. We spent a little under $200 for two nights and I did feel a little ripped off. Next time we will stay at Inn on the Lakes. My brother in law and his family stayed there and said it was fantastic. I would definitely not recommend this place. Probably even the Holiday Inn Express would be better. Like I said, I am not a picky person by any means. I've stayed at older hotels, hotels in worse areas of large towns, hotels where the service was iffy... but the overall experience here was worse than any I can remember. read more

As always, La Quinta is pet friendly! The rooms are clean and not worn, everything works, and even the King regular room comes with a microwave and a fridge. The breakfasts are plentiful and fresh. The only reason I didn't give this a five star rating is because they haven't treated the FIRE ANT MOUNDS in the grassy areas where you walk your dogs. I know that the Sebring area is practically built on a huge fire ant mound, that they are everywhere, but if they treated them with granules, everyone could walk their puppies without worrying that they are going to get bitten! The only other concern I have is that the back door was always unlocked. It was not necessary to use my room key to enter the building from there, which is a security concern. It's ok. Stayed here for 2 days. Most of the staff was very hard-working and thorough, which was nice, but I also had to deal with a couple of busy-body types. I'm having this hotel 5 stars because I was very surprisingly impressed. For $60.09 Groupon 1 night this hotel was comparable to $200 a night hotels. The king room was huge and large bathroom. Pantene shampoo and conditioner was a pleasant surprise since I forgot mine. The coffee in the room was good. The lady at check in was very accommodating I got to check in at 8 am after a long trip. Stayed here during Hurricane Matthew. The staff there was fantastic! They were dealing with very stressed out customers and did it with a smile. The front desk clerk was friendly and got us a room with a reasonable rate. She said the hotel was 5 years old so we figured it'd be nice and clean. We got in the room and it had the smell of cleaning solution. We turned on the fan and went out to dinner. When we returned we turned on the tv but couldn't change the channel. The remote sensor had fallen behind the dresser. As I was walking in the room my bare feet stuck on the carpet in a few spots. YUK! The beds were comfortable although the top blanket was heavy. The shower had the beginnings of mold in the corners and it looked as if the shower walls weren't properly cleaned. The bath towel was like sandpaper and the water from the sink hardly came out. The bathroom flooring was wood of some sort and appeared spotted and dirty. I would rather have tile. Breakfast was blah, although the lady furnishing it was working her butt off. The chair I was sitting in at breakfast, the seat was stained. Overall it's a nice hotel, it just needs major attention to cleaning. read more
