This has to be the nicest Tru that I have ever stayed in. Great location here in Sebring, view of Lake Jackson from most if not all the rooms. There is a great selection of places to eat within a couple miles both North and South Rooms are fairly small but everything to need is there except for microwave in your room, there is one in the lobby near the reception desk if that's needed. There is no shortage of places to plug in your USB charging cable, I counted 8 in my room. My room had a small desk or workstation and chair. Nice stay at this value hotel. The best part was the service. I was greeted very warmly by Heylis and she was a true joy to interact with. Check in process was smooth. The hotel has an upbeat vibe with lots of modern colors and unique twist on decor. There's a pool table in the lobby area For your use. There's also a small gym on property and a business center. They have a large breakfast buffet that's complementary in the mornings. I really enjoyed the yogurt station with all the toppings. They also have a really big coffee station. The only thing I didn't like was that because it is located right on the highway, there was a lot of highway noise that kept waking me up. Other than that, it was good stay and good value. Very clean and many great amenities - full hot breakfast, toiletries and work stations. Everything in the room was spotless, staff very accommodating and friendly, and the hotel has a beautiful view of the lake. I loved the freshness of the lemon soap for bathing provided - I could still smell it hours later. (A good thing) I highly recommend this newer Hilton property. read more

This was a fine Tru. That means there won't be a microwave or closet, but the furniture was in good condition and the common areas were nice and clean. The room was clean and the staff was nice. We must have been here during a local event as it was super busy, which was fine, but surprising. It was a little vapey but not sure what could be done about that except better air filtration (and is becoming more and more common in hotels). We would probably stay here again if we were in the area over night. My wife wasn't the biggest fan as she is used to Garden Inns but after reminding her the point of the Tru brand (simpler) she agreed it was a fine Tru. read more

Very clean hotel. Mattresses were the very comfortable, linens smelled like bleach (which I absolutely love) and a bathroom with NO mold any where.... Incredible! Front staff were not too friendly upon check-in, however the room and delicious complimentary coffee at lobby were great. read more

Apparently they only clean the rooms every other day and since we are only here for two days our cleaning day is after we check out we didn't get our room cleaned not even fresh towels also the hotel lost power for 30 minutes at 10 pm read more

I came down to Sebring for a business trip for work. I arrived late on Monday evening, 4/5/21. I was a little confused as to where I was going, but when I saw the hotel it was extremely well-lit, which helped me figure it out. I quickly grabbed my belongings and entered into the lobby, where I had a little bit of a wait for others to check in. Once it was my turn, I was greeted by the friendliest hotel concierge. She was so sweet and accommodating to my many items that I was bringing in. She quickly got me checked in and up to my room. Upon entering the hotel, it was visible that the hotel was completely clean - it almost looked brand new. Is it? The Covid-19 precautions were superb and I felt safe there. I went up to my room, which was room 402. Before I entered my room, it appeared that they put sanitization stickers on the door to ensure guests know that the room was sanitized and cleaned properly. Great! I walked into the cutest and trendiest room possible. Honestly, I facetimed my fiance and told him that we need to configure the decor for our house to match, because it was adorable. Their soap dispensers were so stinkin cute, too. I got settled in and took a quick shower before heading to bed. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept like a baby. I woke up to a beautiful sunrise from the lake surrounding the hotel itself. Upon checking out, the new concierge was super friendly and attentive to my needs. She even provided me breakfast! If I come back to Sebring, I hope that I can be placed in this hotel! Thanks for the great experience! read more

I had to travel to Sebring for work about 3 weeks ago. My boss put me up in Tru by Hilton. Pulling up to check in, the building is very sleek and nice to look at. It could easily be mistaken for a luxury apartment complex. I entered and went to the desk to check in. The staff is super nice and very helpful with recommendations of places to eat, things to do, breweries, etc near by. There's also a big board by the elevators that tell you those things also. I went to my room to unload all of my crap and was pleasantly surprised by the size of it. Very nice decor and feel. They also dont use individual toiletries, which is a bonus in my book as that eliminates a lot of unnecessary waste. The products they use are nice and smell good, also! The gym is very small, and you almost have to get up at 4 to beat the other people down there. The breakfast bar is nice, but they serve the same items everyday. It gets old fast, but I get why they have to do it. On the plus side, there is always coffee and hot water for tea downstairs. All day/night long. They also have a little convenience store type of thing for munchies. Overall a really good place to stay. I would go here again if I had to travel to Sebring for work. read more

We evacuated from the Sarasota area to Sebring and stayed at this location, very lucky to find a room on short notice! We arrived with 2 dogs and found the room (on the 1st floor) perfect for our needs. We were struck by the cleanliness and comfortable bed, and also by the helpfulness of the staff--especially Victoria and Jake. The storm knocked out power in much of Sebring including the hotel, but the staff were very helpful to us in finding open places for meals, and even an active power station to charge our electric vehicle. They were able to extend our stay due to flooding on our route home, and made what could have been a miserable stay quite comfortable. Cudos to the staff. read more

Stayed for 1 nite. Bed felt worn out. Did not sleep at all. Kept rolling off to the side. Arms and hands kept going numb. Never had this happen before. They were sold out as we were told. Told David at checkout about problem but it was like oh well. It is what it is. He said, my name is David, next time you are here let me know if I can do anything for you. Like really. There is a recycle and use-as-necessary sort of mindset and I am ok with that. For example: no more mini shampoos bottles - instead squeeze the bottles on the wall. No carpets - laminate floors, minimal desk and chair. Also no closet, per se - instead there is a wall with room to hang clothes and some hangers are provided. No iron board or iron. I highly recommend you pay for the upgrade first floor room because apparently hot water isn't included in the upper floors regular room rate. If you happen to be traveling through or coming to work in Sebring, Tru by Hilton is definitely a great choice. Clean comfortable beds, nice big walk-in shower and nice big screen tv for viewing. The decor is a mixture of modern & art-deco. Not really my thing, as the most important features I look for in a hotel is: cleanliness, comfortable beds and a good professional staff. This checks all three of my boxes. The night front desk manager Maria is a Gem. She makes it a point to greet you with a smile on her face and is pleasant to talk to. My fiance and I traveled to Sebring for our Anniversary and to get away from the coastal spring breakers. We both work in personal services and needed some peace to revive us and thats exactly what we got there! We entered the lobby area which had sanitation stations availble for use at just about every convienient corner. The lobby was sleek, spacious and had a beutiful view of the lake, pool table tons of seating and a business area with some comfy seats! While checking in, Concierge gave us the option to move our room to the top floor with a view! The only downside was that it was a double queen instead of a King. We gladly accepted! A good trade for the view but next time we will stick with the king. On the way to the room there was a board next to the elevators with listings of things to do, see, shop and eat including a list of events in Sebring for the whole month! We took note and went up to the room. The door had a seal marking the room as cleaned and sanitized. Okay cool! Opened the door and unloaded. We were pleasantly surprised at the wood laminate floors and sleekly designed room! It was sparkling clean and smelled great! There was a small mini fridge which is a plus, because we like a little late night snacking while we relax and watch tv. There was a small desk and a cofortable rolling chair which worked out perfectly for my vanity space! I set my mirror up along with my cosmetics and had the perfect lighting from the window right next to it! There was a 55inch Tv mounted to the wall which gave perfect picture and plenty of chanels to choose from. We decided to go downstairs and explore the lake side business center and pier they have availble for special events. It is absolutely beautiful! There are two willow trees which are lit up at night! The building for special events is perfect to host for about 50 people comfortably. We left for dinner and came back and sat lakeside for a few hours enjoying a few cocktails and the beautiful view! The next morning Concierge called us down to the front desk, uh oh we thought we were in trouble (Cocktails were pretty strong), but no we were surprised with a Happy Anniversary card and a huge slice of strawberry cake! Our visit was so great we decided we may rent the business center for our wedding! We will be back! read more

For being a part of the Hilton chain they should be ashamed. Charging the prices they are for a hotel, the ONLY ONE IN FL I'VE EVER STAYED AT WITHOUT A POOL! The woman at the front desk couldn't have been any more condescendingly fake to the point of avoidance. She argued with me about my calling the hotel directly to see if my room was ready. I made this call in front of my family and on speaker phone, yet this woman wouldn't relent. The place was clean enough, but even if you want your room cleaned you don't have to hang please clean sign, THEY WILL NOT SHOW UP UNLESS YOU CALL THE NIGHT BEFORE. I sure hope everyone knows. Also you better remember everything you need because you WILL NOT FIND a shower cap, qtips, mouthwash, nothing. Also, there is NO MICROWAVE, NO COFFEE POT, NO BOTTLES OF WATER FREE OR FOR PURCHASE. There is no bar, no restaurant no patio to sit and enjoy the lake even, their one and only draw. Not to sound overly picky, just pointing out, there was a giant piece of cake smashed on the sidewalk in front of the hotel and I mentioned it because it an accident waiting to happen. 3 hours later, still there disgusting and a liability. Didn't say anything else I figured this would be the response from my interactions of the previous day. This, quite frankly, was one of the worst stays I've ever had anywhere especially for a Hilton it's 1/2 step up from a Days Inn!!! read more

It is a Hilton Brand hotel, you expect it to be decent. Honestly, this could have passed for a really good Red Roof Inn. It is budget all the way and even though new, it is not too far away from something that might be rented by the hour. Small rooms, community soap and shampoo, noisy beds and a vent that makes noise all night even when you turn off the AC.....ANNOYING! If this is what Hilton is putting their name on now, I will stay away from Hilton and you can have my honors points, I will not be using them. This was the first of two horrid stays in Hilton facilities over a two week period. read more

During check in, no one was at the desk for approximately 15 minutes. No one answered the phone nor was there to handle the check in process. After checking in and ready for bed, I found that the toilet hadn't been cleaned in my room. The room itself is smaller than my dorm room in college and has minimalistic furnishings. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers are all squeeze bottles mounted on the walls. I find this ironic as the property will not allow you to fix your own coffee, but will force you to use common squeeze bottles of soap in the rooms. The breakfast offered was a diabetic nightmare. I handed it right back to the young lady and told her that there was nothing for breakfast for a diabetic. She could have cared less by the look on her face. If you want a hotel with anything more than a small dorm room and very loud road noise as well as paper thin walls, stay somewhere else. Hilton should pull the name off the building and start over. read more

I've never heard of Tru, but tried to stay at the adjacent residence inn, but it was full. I was very happy with the turn of luck. This is a good alternative and is very new. The rooms are typical hotel size, but have a cleaner feel since they do not have carpet. Everything is comfortable and the lobby is a nice place to hang out. It's very friendly and very family friendly. The lobby is spacious, has games, and great chairs. Breakfast is simple but good. You and your family are welcomed here and your kids don't get the scowls as their mere presence does at Inn on the Lake (fyi-staff family friendly, guests NOT). Stay here. read more
