This was probably the worst LaQuinta hotel that I've ever stayed in. The lobby was more like a budget hotel lobby. The rooms were cramped and not as clean as expected for a LaQuinta hotel. The staff was professional though. I do not plan on staying there again in the future. read more

Check in was easy on the app and just put a cc down with a really pleasant young man. Had an excellent sleep on a King size bed with great AC and nice sized room. In the morning took an energizing shower with great water pressure and steady hot water. The pool/jacuzzi were out of service due to maintenance but the gym was open and had adequate equipment. The breakfast was standard continental breakfast with waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs, biscuit and gravy, juice, fruit. It is a bit off the 80 but worth the sleep and price. I want to start this review by stating if I could give lower than one star, I would! Next, I take responsibility for the initial confusion concerning this matter. However, when I booked a room for the night with this organization I was under the impression the room would be booked at a different location. I attempted to get a room in Lincoln CA, but the room was booked in Lincoln NE. I went to check in to the location in Lincoln CA, and told me my room was reserved at the location in a different state. Let me say the customer service was excellent at this location. The front desk attendant assisted me throughout the process in contacting the third party website, and gathered the information needed to contact the location in Lincoln NE to speak to management. The front desk attendant advised me of the policy for cancellation with La Quinta, and then explained that my situation is very common. When you attempt to book a room in California with using Priceline or another third party website, the website automatically takes you to Lincoln NE. This is why I started this review by stating I take full responsibility for this confusion. I paid and stayed the night at the location in Lincoln CA. Although I was extremely disgruntled that night. I remembered that the employee's at the location I stayed were extremely helpful. So, I took the advice from the front desk clerk and relaxed for the night. The next day I attempted to contact the manager of the location. I spoke with a gentleman named Merlin. Merlin at first was extremely understanding and thanked me for continuing my business with La Quinta. Due to the time difference from California to Nebraska, Merlin took down my contact information and stated he would contact me back after he looked into the situation. I allowed multiple days to go by before calling again. I reached Merlin and he stated he needed to talk to someone above him to rectify the situation. Merlin did not reach out or contact me back. I allowed multiple days to go by again and no response. I called and spoke to someone from the front desk. I was extremely angry but remained professional. The front desk attendant stated that Merlin was on his regular day off. At this point, it seems like I paid double for a one night stay with the organization. I addressed the mistake I made and accepted full responsibility. However, outside of the customer service provided from the location in California, I would recommend that people should think twice before staying at the La Quinta in Nebraska. It seems that they are unwilling to provide basic customer service to the organizations clientele. End Note. It has been approximately one month and now when called I have been told the owner and manger (Merlin) are too busy to take my call. read more

The good: didn't feel like I would be raped or robbed in the middle of the night. The sheets seemed clean. The bad: very smoky room without toilet paper. The pillows were very lumpy and weird. No breakfast. Dirty carpets, furnishings, halls and hallways. Gross bathroom with funky molds. Not worth $200 night. read more

Not to be confused with Lake Uinta. Which is a Lake. Whereas this is a hotel. Not a lake. Large and average-looking hotel up in the north suburbs of Lincoln, close to my favourite bubble tea shop in town, and the rooms are anywhere from cheap to mid-price depending on which site you look for them on and what time of year it is - unless there is a football game in which case you might pay quite a lot, or find them sold out. Luckily there wasn't, when we stayed here. It's a pretty good hotel and not one of the worst ones I've stayed in. It doesn't smell bad and the people working here were perfectly friendly. read more

If I could give this place a lower score I would. I was so upset when I arrived and learned that the hot tub was not working. I specifically called just a few days earlier, when I was booking my room to make sure that the hot tub was indoors and working and was assured that it was. This was so unacceptable to me and the only reason I booked at this hotel - I have only ever stayed at 1 La Quinta that I was happy with and I believe that was in Lenexa, MO so I should not have been surprised. The room was okay but it was on the first level. I had already told the guy working the front desk how unhappy I was about the hot tub so when I got to the room and hated the room, I felt like I was being petty, but the more time I spent in it, the more unsafe and unhappy I felt. I barely slept at all that night - the heater wasn't working right but I didn't realize it until morning - it was set to be 66 in the room but was significantly warmer. The thing that was most unsettling though was the fact my window faced this small dark tree surrounded parking lot which was empty and my window could be opened and did not seem to lock. My one regret is not requesting/demanding a different room, but I don't think it will pose a problem for me in the future, because I have no intention of staying here again. read more

The place is pretty old and kind of run down. They got the smallest microwave and mini fridge they could find. The fridge doesn't even fill the space that is designed for a taller mini fridge. The pool and hot tub are pretty old and the water looks un inviting for the hot tub. The lobby/breakfast area looks remodeled and up to date. The place is clean and of course dog friendly with no hassles. I gave it a 3 star just because of the run down look and the distance from the freeway. read more

So pleased with the renovated rooms and the friendly staff. If you haven't stayed here since the completed renovation, you should give it another try. La Quinta Inn recently merged with Windham Hotels. I called ahead to ask for a room on the east side of the building which is my preference for this location. The young lady who answered the call made sure that I got exactly what I requested. Plus she texted me when my room was ready for my arrival. New carpet. New paint. The alarm clock on the bedside table has ports for charging electronics. Plus the new table and bedside lamps have extra plugs for electronics. HVAC worked well for a cold front arrival and I needed the room warmed up quickly. HVAC is not noisy and airflow is comfortable. LED lighting instead of faint/yellow fluorescent lighting throughout room including bathroom. The lights in the room are bright, nice. I appreciate LQ big fluffy towels and we have a plentiful supply in our bathroom. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. I can always count on LQ for a great sleep experience. Breakfast area is large and food is adequate. read more

My wife and I with our animals stayed here on the sixteenth of September 2022 while traveling cross country. Friendly desk clerk, decent room. the only issue we have is with the cleanliness. We were laying in separate beds watching tv and as I looked over at my wife I see a massive bug on her pillow case. Took a picture and google searched it, turns out it was a bed bug and a rather large one. Talked to the desk clerk the next morning at check out, showed her the pictures of the bug and google search, she was mortified, tried to find the manager who was not present at the time, and she said the manager would call me later in the day. Never heard a word from the manager or anyone from la Quinta. Completely unsatisfactory and would never stay in a $400 room with bed bugs with them again. Would add pictures if I could. Maybe the very worst hotel ever. The tub was extremely filthy. The soap dish in the tub had black mold that had expanded into fingers underneath the dish. There was No soap. Very few electrical outlets. The hallways were filled with the pot smell from multiple rooms. Toilet flushed....kinda. We have stayed at several LaQuinta hotels this summer. The room was relatively clean, but it looked older and needs renovation. The carpeting throughout the halls and room, didn't look that clean. The light outside by the fire exit was broken. I found the door leading outside was propped open twice, so it didn't feel safe. I only noticed this because I took the stairs to walk my dog. There is limited grass and no poop bags around the hotel. I was a bit grossed out because I saw a whole family in the hot tub in their street clothes! We didn't use those facilities. The front desk was friendly,and it was dog friendly, but I think 2.5 stars is more accurate review. read more

Not the cleanest hotel.. More Motel"ish" but room was clean - bathroom tub flooded with water, so did the sink... Overall good for a quick sleep through.. Pet Friendly.. Very nice for the price. Highly recommended. A little further from Route 80, but they accepted the road discount coupon that several other closer hotels refused on a Friday night. Also they allowed our two dogs with no extra charge, and the room was very nice for the $69 we paid. I think they said they upgraded us. Somewhat upscale bedding, massaging shower head, and complimentary toiletries.Strong free wifi with a separate router for each floor. They do have a small indoor pool and spa... didn' t try it, but it looked clean and nice. Plus, they were loaded with Air Force men in town for an air show the next day.... very easy on the eyes.... a pleasant coincidence. Lots of food options around.. a decent mexican place and an Ihop right in the parking lot. Free continental breakfast with coffee, juice, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, and a make-you-own fresh waffle machine which was different and fun. So I had hot waffles with banana and syrup. My only minor gripe is that the lobby could use an air freshener. Kind of an odd smell. The rest of the place, and our room, smelled fine though. read more

With this private chain, it can be a hit or miss of quality. I have stayed, over the past six months, in nearly every La Quinta in the United States and this one is average. They try very hard to be one of the best Chain hotels, that still don't come close to touching Hiltons or private hotels but I trust them, and their customer service can be found exceptional. The whirlpool suites are wonderful and very open with space. This is where I stayed with this one. I am an elite member and do recommend La Quinta - to save money and time. read more

Decent hotel and third la Quinta we stayed at on a cross country move but disappointed in staff. When booking I specifically called a booked a room on the first floor as we have two large dogs and an infant. Ground floor just makes it easier to get everyone in and out and means guests in room near the stairs don't have hear our dogs on the stairs. Upon checking in the front desk staff said that he actually just gave the first floor room to another guest and were given a room on the third floor. read more

Listed as a recent remodel online this hotel did have a remodeled lobby, but our room was not remodeled. Refrigerator and microwaves are not in every room so you must pay extra for that amenity. New looking pool that we did not use. Ice makers on first floor only. Dog friendly as always. Shower curtain rod was loose from wall. Overall a good experience. One star simply because upon waking up in the morning and having the benefit of bright light coming through the window, we saw that ants were crawling all along the floor near the tv/fridge station. If that wasn't enough, we also noted them crawling on the shower curtain and in the bathroom. When I complained about it as we were checking out, I was told that it was a known problem that they have been dealing with for quite some time. A known problem for that particular room? Or the whole hotel? Why give me that room if they knew there was an ant problem? read more

This pet-friendly hotel is very clean, and the rooms are well appointed. There is a coffee maker, coffee, fridge and microwave. The area is very quiet, so we had a restful night's sleep after driving in from Denver, CO. There is a gas station, and some eateries very close by, so there is no need to travel too far to re-stock on snacks and supplies. The coffee at Scooter's down the street was very good, and the people were very friendly. read more

I stay at La Quinta hotels a lot for business. This one is definitely on the low end of the business chain. The room was ok at best, clean but with a weird musty odor. Beds were not anywhere close to the quality of others in the chain where you sink into them, this was more a motel quality cheap bed. We stayed here while traveling along I-80. The hotel does not charge extra for dogs, so that's why we picked it. The room was clean, king bed was comfy, free breakfast is basic cereal, biscuits and gravy, waffle iron, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, etc. Pool and hot tub were clean and open (not for dogs). Giving it 4 stars because the grassy area for pets needs a poop pick-up or at least a little poop bag dispenser and garbage so owners can clean up after their pet, looks like most owners forget bags. read more

Sometimes it is hit or miss. This time it was a hit. While this is one of the older LaQuinta's it is pretty well maintained. I had put the wrong arrival date on my reservation and the young woman at the desk was sweet enough to change the reservation. Our room was very comfortable and clean..A nice flat screen wall mounted TV was easy to see while laying down. Everything else was pretty standard. Hotel clean but dated. Called in a couple of complaints- 10 yr old hairdryer didn't work, air conditioner made a horrible grinding noise. Complaints were neither acknowledged or repaired. I did laundry one night and washer leaked all over the floor. First floor reeks from too much chlorine in very small pool. Room key didn't work 3 nights out of 7. This is our second time at the Lincoln LaQuinta and we are more than satisfied. This is a quiet and comfortable hotel, perfect for our needs. The front desk is wonderfully helpful and courteous. The rates are fantastic (in fact our night was free due to multiple stays) and our room was beautiful. The beds and pillows were perfect which is huge for me. There was no noise in our room even though there was a swim team of excited high schoolers in the breakfast area in the morning. Speaking of breakfast, a full breakfast (eggs, meat, breads, cereal, juice, fruits) was available and was again perfect for our needs. We hope to be back here in the near future! read more

If you need a night to catch a shut eye and to shower after driving several hours then this is not a bad place. Pet friendly. The husband and I recognized some art in the rooms that said Days Inn. Not the cleanest LaQuinta we've been in. There is one washer and dryer in the entire hotel for guest use and they take forever ($1.00 each). Vending machines are overpriced and there is no laundry detergent onsite. Walmart is not too far of a drive and there is a Casey's General Store next door. read more

price was great, pool looked amazing. but all of the doors we passed said "non-smoking", which is really important for a family full of severe-scent-based allergics like mine is. the first room we had knocked us over with the smoke scent. we went right back down, and they offered us the room right next door, being sorry for the inconvenience. we walked in there, and yes, it was better, but it still had the smoke smell. by this time, i myself had a severe headache, and my sister was developing one. if the hotel had advertised that there was the possibility of smoke smell in the rooms, we never would have gone there, and never would have encountered the issues. but since both of the rooms we were given said on the door that they were non-smoking rooms, they should dang-well have been smoke free. since they werent, and since we didnt get a refund (as we have from past hotels when encountering this same issue), and since i STILL have a headache (well over two hours later), i have to recommend that you RUN in DROVES from this particular hotel. I have stayed in, and enjoyed, other La Quinta Inn's in the past, but this one needs a little more attention to detail befor i am not a smoking hater . . . people have the choice of doing whatever they want. but for someone who is literally allergic to every tree, grass, bush, and scent they tested me for (an extensive number, i assure you), I just CAN'T be around anything that heavily scented! read more
