Side view of the skatepark and courts

This park is great for everything! They have plenty of space for people to pick or cordon off their own sections. They have a few water fountains throughout the park. They also have an overhead area with tables for parties to take place and most importantly a grill area! They have a big playground for children and also a water area to help the kids keep cool and play. This park also holds a full self operating skate park! It's located adjacent to the basketball courts! They have cages setup for baseball or softball. Plus with all the space you can set up a pickup game of soccer or football. Every time I go with friends, there is never any shortage of parking! Plus they have public restrooms. Also they have an ice cream truck aka palatero man that drops by every so often selling ice cream! I recommend the park for anyone and is clean! Only thing lacking is a volleyball area though.

It's usually packed cause they have soccer practice, skate park, walking area, little playground and a little water play area. They also have basketball courts, overall park is nice. Has restrooms but usually no soap so bring some or sanitizer. Some days not as packed as others just depends close to homes and right across from Lq high.

There is plenty of parking and a large grass area for soccer or just to let your little one run free.

This was a big plus as I was a newbe and didn't know anyone. I really enjoyed with people on different skill levels. The park and lots of other activities going. I semi-anticipated this because it's Spring, lots of tourists and concert goers in town but we were still a bit disappointed that so early it was hard to find a court. The courts themselves are very nice though I will give them that. 5 stars for being nicely painted and maintained. They also had a lot of courts and clear signage as to experience level and offerings on which court should certain level of players play on. Another nice note is they had plenty of shaded seating for watchers and waiters so that's appreciated in the hot sun. The reasons I docked a star were primarily for parking availability and also there could be nicer little perks added. With parking we thought it was odd that they have so many reserved parking permit spots? On a Friday morning only 1 of those permit special spots were being used and the other 15 or so were just open, yet we couldn't park there. Parking was scarce given all of the players which resulted in many parking on the street which didn't make as much sense to me. Also we didn't notice paddle holders for pickleball which all of our local courts have. There's no easy way to navigate who is next to play without those nice visible paddle holders on the courts. We watched players line their paddles all across the ground which seemed kind of unnecessary as those little holders could easily be purchased by parks and rec given how nice these courts appear to be. If there were paddle holders their either wasn't enough or they weren't easy to see given how many paddles were lined up across the floor. Again, not trying to be overly critical but this just seems like a really nice pickleball court and there are some small little upgrades that they could make to ensure this spot is more accessible and up to date. Otherwise, we really liked this area and would happily play here again, keeping these courts on my radar and liked the location from where we stay and the downtown area.

We used to get a discount with our local (Oregon) zoo membership, but I guess that partnership has changed. We also bring reusable water bottles, snacks and sunscreen with us. You can tell how much they genuinely care about the animals, They also are well versed in facts and fun tidbits about the animals as well. We love going to the wallabies enclosure- it's our kids's favorite. We go there first since it tends to be less busy and the wallabies are not chilling in the shade yet. It's so special to walk through and have the wallabies just hang out near you and jump around. We loved seeing so many wonderful animals- wolves, giraffes, zebra, rhinos, monkeys, just to name a few. You could easily spend at least half a day here. There is also a splash pad area for the kids to cool off. If in the area I highly recommend you check out The Living Desert.
