How do I start when I have so many good things to say about this station?!?!?! Every once in a…read morelong while, I will scan through my radio tuner in my car for new stations. The stations I usually listen to tend to play the same 5 songs over and over. Ridiculous. All of a sudden, my radio (yes, I still listen to the radio in the car instead of subscribing to satellite) starts playing this great music so I stopped...and then song after song, I didn't want to change the station. It was a mix of different decades and songs that you don't hear other stations play anymore. First of all, the station is bilingual with music in Spanish during the daytime. I usually listen to this station in the evening when all the songs are English hits. There are so many ways I can describe this station: 1) The old K-Earth meets the current K-Earth...but that doesn't fully describe it well either. 2) Reminds me of my old iPod that had 5000+ songs. I have eclectic taste in music that spans many decades and genres. 3) "OMG, I forgot how much I loved this song!" type of radio station. Right now, Elvis' "Stuck On You" (1960) is playing. I haven't heard this song played on the radio in decades! Right before that, Stevie Wonder's "Happy Birthday" (1981). Other forgotten classics have played on this station like "United We Stand" by Brotherhood of Man from 1970, "In the Summertime" by Jerry Mungo (1970).... I've heard songs from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s! Your aural pleasures are not just confined to the car radio (90.3 FM). If the signal is weak wherever you are, you can stream it online from a website (doesn't even have to be an app) at radiosuerte.com and it comes in loud and clear! Last weekend, I was listening to the station and I was loving every song. Then I realized that there was a theme they were abiding by that night. Each song was about "eyes." Imagine all the hits: "Private Eyes" (Hall & Oates), "Eye of the Tiger" (Survivor), "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" (The Platters), "Pretty Little Angel Eyes" (Curtis Lee), "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" (Frankie Valli), "Hungry Eyes" (Eric Carmen), "Don't it Make My Brown Eyes Blue" (Crystal Gayle), Brown Eyed Girl" (Van Morrison), "Bette Davis Eyes" (Kim Carnes), etc. There are no DJs that disrupt songs. Commercial breaks don't last forever. Maybe like 1 minute at most and they are back to the music! I wish I had found this station earlier! Listen to this station NOW!!!!!!

They claim to have a 10,000 song playlist, and I believe it. Ever hear Blues Project before? Until KOCI, I hadn't. Speaking of blues, they include that in their broad definition of classic rock. This is for the children of those parents who watch channel 57.11/V STAR TV/888 Home Shopping. This is their storefront where they film their shows and those infamous auction shows. They advertise Japanese and Korean products (ginseng, candy, skin care treatment), boasting that they will give you clear skin. In addition, if you buy their ginseng sets (valued at $120), you get two boxes free. Already, that sounds too good to be true. One of the hosts kept stating that you had to CALL in to RESERVE your purchase so you could pick up. What? Maybe it's for them to keep track of who's buying? But that just sounds strange. They were also saying that if you buy their ginseng (which they say will promote collagen growth and give you energy), they would gift you a Korean gift box set. I started becoming very suspicious while watching the show and decided to come along with my dad to their storefront on Bolsa. The front of the store is filled, from ceiling to floor with skincare sets, ginseng candy and drinks, microphones for karaoke -it's a pretty seedy looking place. The door to where they film was open so I, with no shame stared in. Bunch of green paper and a cheap looking table. Outdated computers and fake flowers for decoration. Wow. Slimy front desk lady sees me looking and gets up to close the door. Hmph. As my dad is confirming he called in to purchase the ginseng, an old lady waddles in slowly and asks the slimy front desk what they're selling. Slimy lady says, "We're selling the ginseng set, $120 for one but it's buy 1 get 2 free PLUS a Korean gift set box VALUED at $175." To my dad, she says, "This is the biggest promotion we are doing on the show. It's worth it." To the old lady who just waddled in, "You want you buy? It $120." So much for having to call in to reserve your purchase. A bunch of pooey. I'm looking at the Korean skincare display and you guys know how when lotion has been sitting out for awhile, not used, forgotten for years, perhaps? It develops this chunky looking texture, almost a coagulation. Well, that $175 Korean skincare looked exactly like that. My dad make his absurdly expensive purchase and I lug those boxes into my car. I go home and do my research on these products. Should've done my research prior but you live and learn. Those darn products are imported from Korea through a Chinese website! Wholesaling website which many of us might be familiar with! They're $5.50 a box (the Korean skincare set) and the slimy was boasting that it was valued at $175. Like in whose eyes? Your greedy, money-grubbing eyes? This channel/store is a SCAM. None of their products are valued in the HUNDREDS margins. They're cheap products imported overseas with no regulations. They're practically scamming their own race. It's disgusting and simply sad.
