This is a hidden gem! Is literally a hole in the wall but tacos are cheap and delicious! I come to this place frequently (usually once a week or sometimes even twice). Is 5 min away from my job and is really cheap with delicious tacos. I prefer to call first and take them to go. This place is not pretty at all, is a regular mexican market with a small restaurant in the back, not enough space, chairs to sir and doesn't look that clean and neat but the tacos are really good. Everytime I go there order tacos al pastor (tacos are really cheap $1.80 per taco), chicken are also good and personally don't like much the beef tacos, always find pieces that I have to take off the taco but many of my coworkers love the beef tacos (so for some it might be good). I have also tried the gorditas and those are excellent too and also good size. Tacos are really good, they're simple but completely delicious with the homemade spicy green sauce they prepare there. As I said place is not pretty but you can have 3 delicious tacos for lunch only spending $6. Also if you are looking for avocados right on point to eat the same day or the next day this is the place to go. They have them next to the cashier and are always perfect and ready to eat! Always go to buy my avocados there. And also the meat (is a mexican meat market) for doing bbqs and cheese from there is good and cheap. Parking is easy because is on a plaza and there is always plenty of parking spaces but the place is not that visible from the street. read more

Best tacos hands down, period, end of story. Not much else to add. Oh and did i mention $1.89 per taco for the #1 combo that comes with 4 tacos. I got the asada with avocado added. Now for the spot, its a supermarket with te restaurant in the back. Its not a 5 star restaurant for those of you who are into critiquing the look of a spot. The tacos were excellent. I walked into the market and walked back out because I didn't see the café part. I double checked I was in the right spot and walked back in and located the café. It is back to the left. There are a few tables and a bar area with a few stools. You order at the counter and then they call out your order. There are drinks in the refrigerators. Everything is a la carte. I had three types of tacos and the refried beans. My meal cost about $7. The meat is well seasoned and the tacos are corn shells topped with onion and cilantro. There was a long line after I placed my order. Many people take their food to go since there isn't much seating. Overall, great pricing and authentic tasty tacos. read more

This place is a small little "hole in the wall" in the back of the small grocery store. As you walk in the store, the meat department is on the right, to the left back of the store, there we found the small section for food. We had the chicken gorditas and a jamaica. Everything was fresh. The chicken gorditas was delicious, and the jamaica was refreshing. (the food: 4 1/2 stars) Be prepared to brush up on your Spanish. Everyone working there was quite helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back. read more

Inside smells soooo BAD. Where they have the meat it looks terrible! The food was bad and wasn't even that good. The smell inside was making it hard to eat. It's bleach and a mix of something else that just gives you a headache. read more

Horrible! We decided to try this locating because we usually go to La Ranchera of in pompano beach, which is a little further for us ! Huge mistake! The food looked like it has just been thrown in the to go plate , and it was flavorless. If I could give zero stars I would. I fell for the reviews to this place and for the first time, this was a big mistake! I had read a review from someone who stated the place smelled horrible. As I clicked on this review I saw it was "a American lady" and I said to myself.. of course she's going to complain, it's our culture she smells and she will never get the idea. Boy was I wrong. I walked in for the first time and the punch of spoiled rotten sewage hits you in the face. Lord I figured it's the meat department so I decided to give them a benefit of the doubt. As I walked towards the back of the store trying to find the area where the food is sold.. my son said "mom it smells like something died." Anyhow we managed to find the back of the store and although the front of the store smelled like death the back smelled like fresh tortillas. I allowed the tortillas to naively convince me to eat their food (plus I was dying to fill my window to eat on my fasting). Once I walked to the front of the store to pay it WREAKED of Clorox. I assumed they overheard my sons comment. He later said "mom I think they poured Clorox on their rotten meat". I doubt they will ever pass a health inspection. Nonetheless I went home to eat my so craved tacos. Yes they sell cheap tacos $1.89 ea. Oh man, I am not one to put peoples restaurant down but his just made the exemption. The carne asada tacos I ordered were not only extremely dry but flavorless and very tiny tortillas which made for very tiny tacos were falling apart. My son had ordered gorditas. His were Carme asada as well. Well no need to get into details with his because he had the same experience hence we ordered the same meat. I ALWAYS ordered from Chicano Mexican Grill and unfortunately they are closed on Friday's and Saturday's. I guess it serves me right for being impatient and wanting to step out of my safe zone and experimenting somewhere else. I hope they get their act together because honestly you're not getting what they're advertising. I will never buy or eat or step in this place ever again. I apologize for those who think this place is a holy grail. read more

I found the place by chance after making a U-turn in front of that shopping center and a couple of days later (today Monday) I went to check it out.
