Came here asked the hostess if they have lemonade because we saw some people with some. She said yes go to bar to order. I proceed to bar just to be ignored by two bar tenders. A lady at bar said to me. "Be prepared to wait a long time" I ask a server if I can order from him and he says he's not allowed to do to go orders. He then went over to another server that took my order finally. Then she said she will have to wait at the servers section for it. She went there and the rude lady bar tender ignored her also. Made drinks then asked what she's waiting on. Proceeded to make other drinks and then poured a lot of tap water and a lil lemon concentrate into a glass with a sugar mix. $9.56 later I got my horrible 12 oz drink after waiting so long and watching the rude bar tender not give two hoots about her clientele. Looks like this place needs an over haul and they won't get that with terrible Personel running stations. The waitress that took my drink order and the guy that got her were nice. Some friends went to the bar to get happy hour drinks and I guess they were overwhelmed? Seemed slow but I guess they were busy. My main issue is that the food is overpriced for the half decent quality. Most of the food tasted store bought and could've been a little better. Drinks were okay, would be considered perfect if you love to barely taste liquor (they certainly get you drunk though so can't be too mad). I came here for a breakfast event in honor of international women's day. We sat outside as there's plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather. Food was set up underneath an overhang so that it was protected We had amazing tropical fruit salad that had pineapple, papaya and blueberries in it. Came to La Mexicana for Taco Tuesday, and they did not disappoint. When we walked in, the decor around the restaurant gave street art Debo with multiple Mexican art pieces. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our waitress Teresa was amazing. She helped us navigate through the menu, gave great suggestions, and was very accommodating. Currently on a low carb diet and when asked to not put rice on my burrito bowl and add a little more lettuce was given a weird look. When my food came, there was no lettuce and when he brought me some it was almost what looked like a pinch of shredded lettuce (see pic). Basically was told that, it's the amount that comes with the bowl - really? I got upset and basically told them to take it back when the female manager showed up with some more lettuce but at that point I was done. She didn't even try hard enough to fix the problem and was very dismissive. Angel came later on and tried and gave it a chance and had a great salad. To my surprise after everything that happened, the manager didn't comp anything or provided something for the inconvenience. Such a cute and large spot and so pet friendly that they even give you a mimosa when you bring your pup. We tried the empanadas, chilaquiles and tacos. The food arrived beautifully and at the same time, but my cocktail never came. I reminded the server once, and halfway through my meal, I had to remind her again, but the drink still didn't show up. Eventually, I asked to cancel it. On top of that, the ceviche was supposed to come with plantain chips, but none were served. When I tried to order tortilla chips, the server walked away mid-conversation, and I had to call her back. Later, when we asked for the check, the items were incorrectly split. We pointed it out, and after waiting with my card in hand for another 10 minutes, the server finally came back to ask if we were ready to pay. For appetizers we had the esquites which were good but I which it was a bigger portion since it supposed to be to share. For tacos I had the octopus Al pastor which it was tender, but I was not a fan of the pineapple on it so I would have it without next time. We also tried the chicharrón and the fish tacos which they were pretty good as well. To go we had the churros and they were really tasty as well.
