The food is always good. But we don't venture into the more exotic dishes. The Campechana minus the snail and a whole fried fish for me. The chilimango margarita was tasty but on the small side. The waitress was polite and attentive. I would have given a 5 star rating but the velvet lined seats looked spattered with dried salsa. Probably not the best choice for a restaurant where liquidy smelly things can get spilled on it. Even so, everything else seemed clean and the food and ambiance was great. For Yuma standards the food is good however, don't order the Raseca Burrito unless you want a cocktail in a tortilla. Service is rough it could be little bit before you get your drinks and especially food. The vibe is cool however if you ask to change the channel to a sports game they won't do it or forget to. This restaurant is on point! The friendliness of the staff and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. But let me tell you, the food is incredible! The variety of seafood available here us surprising and so delicious! Our group ordered a half platter of shrimp ceviche and it could have been our whole meal. 5 of us enjoyed it with the fresh flavors, crunchy veggies and perfectly cooked shrimp. Our group also get fish tacos, shrimp tacos, octopus tacos and fried calamari. The depth of flavors in these choices surprised me and not of the seafood was chewy or overcooked. For sea food Mariscos this place hit the spot!! I had the twin tostadas I wish I had order just one.. I ended taking one of the sisters home. My husband had the Costa azul which it was delicious too. We loved it. We came around 6pm on a Sunday and we got to enjoyed the live mariachi band. Great ambiance for the family. Draft beers. Will come back again. Initial Impression: Easy to find, parking lot is small, very spacious inside, well decorated. Beach theme all around, small stage & seperate seating in the bar area. Nice venue for a gathering. Pros: Plenty of seating, I like the seperate venue area by the bar perfect for a party. Our table was clean, we were seated right away. Waitress was friendly. Cons: Where to begin...... the bathrooms (ladies) were very dirty & they smelled soo bad. Maybe a combination of unwashed body parts, probably deep dark crevasses. The door to the stall was beyond dirty. The trash can & all its collections sat on top of the toilet, where you could smell each scent. Moving on to the food; I ordered the shrimp Aguachile verde & it arrived im a timely manner. The consistency was thick like a gravy. I tasted the liquid & it tasted a bit like dirty shrimp & lime. None of the shrimp in the bowl were washed or cleaned out. They literraly butterflied them & tossed them in the thick like gravy mixture & put cucumbers & onions on them with a hint of lime. The raw shrimp ceviche was dirty & not washed, they ground up the shrimp as is & just toss a few veggies with lime & call it a day. Very unsanitary. Overall Experience : We arrived at the establishment & I was a bit hesitant to order anything after being seated due to the pictures on the reviews showing almost all the shrimp in its whole form, not devained or butterfly cut to show that they were cleaned out. I decided to give it a shot & it was such a let down. My food was sooo dirty & smelled like it. All the shrimp had a slimey feel to them & had all the dirty insides in them. I couldn't eat any of it. I asked the waitress to take it back bc it was not clean & i showed her & she said that was gross. She doesn't even eat any of the food there.... she asked if I wanted something else & i asked her if any of the shrimp get washed or cleaned out before serving them & she was honest & said she didn't know but would hope so. We asked for the check & they still tried to charge me for the food bc I ordered it. Unbelievable..... I asked to speak to the manager & she came out & said & I QUOTE" NEXT TIME YOU COME PLEASE LET THE WAITRESS KNOW TO ASK THE COOK IF THEY CAN CLEAN & WASH THE SHRIMP FOR YOU BEFORE YOU ORDER" ..... which i thought cleaning the food is common sense.... in a restaurant. I'm surprised that the health department hasn't been called. In the end she agreed that I not pay for food that was beyond unsanitary to eat. read more

Fantastic local spot for mariscos style seafood. I'm a gringo and loved it. The stuffed pepper $11.99 with shrimp and is full of shrimp. It has this sweet soy reduction sauce on it. The grilled octopus $14.99 was tender and fantastic. It is served with the same sauce and fresh guac. The ceviche tostadas were good and tasted fresh. I'm guessing at night it is loud and busy. Sunday has a mariachi at 4. Plan accordingly. We had great service and it wasn't loud but we were here in the afternoon. Also to note that seafood isn't cheap and this place is worth coming back to for a seafood meal. read more

Found this place on yelp while visiting family. Not too bad of a place! The food was delicious. I love seafood. I don't have it often, so when I do it's pretty important for it to be delicious. The food is not that bad here. I do want to say that the service here is horrible. The food takes about an hour to come out, the servers don't come to your table to check if your doing good. Well, The place is disgusting, I walked into a pile of dirt and stuff all over the floor. A table has been done for over 20 minutes and it still has it been cleaned. The menus are crusty, sticky, and look like they have never been cleaned. The "sling" for my daughters car seat was an upside down disgusting high chair. The food was okay, but that's not the reason for reducing the stars. They have this super loud band playing to the point where you have to be yelling to communicate. It would be okay if the music was not blasting. It was not enjoyable at all. It would not return. The service also took much longer than anticipated for basic tasks. This place is as annoying as trying to listen to music or talk in your car and the car next to you has some ghetto speakers vibrating all the cars around them with music you can't understand because of how strong the bass is just vibrating. Have been here twice and the food has been consistently good. The campechana coktel is awesome and loaded with seafood every bite. The octopus and manta tacos were also awesome and the portions on the tacos is good. The fish ceviche was very good and had good taste and again one order became two or three tostadas because of the generous portions. Overall the best seafood in Yuma. read more

Hubby and I came here on Valentine's Day since they were offering a special. It was steak and shrimp and I couldn't resist! It was mediocre at best. The steak was undercooked in the middle and overlooked around the perimeter. It was a busy night for them so initially I chalked it up to that. We decided to give it another go and I can say I'm again unimpressed. The shrimp I ordered were good however the fries were way too salty. I mean how do you get fries wrong? Hubby ordered shrimp ceviche and ended up eating only about 4 bites. We had to ask for refills for our drinks and couldn't find our waitress to ask for condiments.
