Drink 0/5 The sweet tea was extremely sweet. I added water to it. Then it became sugar water. No big deal. I don't usually drink sweet tea anyways. Service 5/5 Lena was nice. Thank you. Extra: The MUSIC is awsome. Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, System of a Down. What a rocking playlist. I could chill here just for the music. The Only issue: the restroom. Updating the review I made over 2 years ago to reflect a current rating. We came with good expectations. We left with SHOCK and DISAPPOINTMENT!! The quality of the food, portion size, and service has majorly DECLINED! The dining room and bar areas were only 10% full. Our original waitress answered questions and based on her descriptions of the differences between king crab, queen crab and snow crab, we ordered our seafood. A new waitress came and said "her shift ended. I will be taking care of you." She was condescending and rude especially when some in our party asked questions and commented about the poor food quality and tiny portions for the EXORBITANT PRICE!! The King crab leg cluster ($85) we received was without a claw("we don't have any claws"). It was tiny and the legs about the same size of a snow crab leg. The lobster tail was 4-5 ounces($22) NOT the 8 oz we were told. It was overcooked and the meat severely stuck to the shell. The headless shrimp was rubbery and mediocre in texture and flavor. The snow crab cluster was the only seafood we received which had good texture and flavor. We asked for a second disposable plastic seafood sheller/meat picker and were told "I have to see with the kitchen if we have another one because we are short" "The kitchen staff is struggling". "The dishwashers are working on it" Caesar salad-delivered by mistake-was fresh and flavorful consisting of chopped romaine lettuce, Parmesan and croutons. (We had ordered a side salad with Caesar dressing, but were willing to overlook it.) We had already began eating it when the staff member who delivered it realized the kitchen's mistake and returned to our table. She reached to remove it and stated "I can take it away but I can't leave it or I will have to charge you."(any other restaurant would have just remade and returned with the correct order) The manager came to our table after we had eaten and said for us to come back and he'd make it right when we come back. As we were leaving our table, the couple at the next table said to us "What a joke!! I've already complained about this food and I'm going to "****" tell them again when we leave!! Lobsters were smaller than a big shrimp, some of the spicy one order were literally ridiculous hot. Service was good, nothing to crazy. Other orders flavor was ok. Very friendly service. Our waitress was extremely nice. Big restaurant seats 550 people! Had the clam chowder as an appetizer and it was delicious! It actually had clams in it! It came with Parmesan top bread that was pretty tasty. Waiting for the main course and enjoying good music, not blasting! They also have tv screens everywhere. Only bad is the tvs are about 40 inches wide. Need to have some big screen tvs for such a big place. Jambalaya was too salty. It was also too spicy for our palate. The blackened seabass was good with vegetables and noodles. Noodles didn't have any taste but the seabass was great. The seaboil was also very good and tasty. U can order without hot spices. We ha went to the new one in El Paso so we had to try this one as well. Our appetizers were calamari, fried pickles & shrimp. Very delicious! Their clam chowder is some of the best I've ever tasted!! We both had the shrimp bowls. Mine with noodles and her with rice. Both were very delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly! Definitely be back. First of all it was really difficult to find this place! It is located way at the end of a somewhat dicey looking hotel. Dont make the mistake like we did and park at the front. There are plenty of parking spaces right near the entrance to the restaurant. This was our first time to an Angry Crab location so we were surprised by all the graffiti everywhere. The server got my friend's order wrong with the various types of oysters but was too hungry to bother flagging down the elusive server again. We had to ask for refills several times throughout the salty meal. Even though we arrived and were seated well before closing and many patrons were still there, we felt rushed and had to eat quickly. I did enjoy my garlic noodle bowl w shrimp and clam straps, however. I'd probably come back earlier in the day next time for better service. read more

Went with a large group and the service was great. I liked the atmosphere also. The experience was fun and the trifacta sauce on the food was terrific. Unfortunately the lobster was so overcooked it was almost inedible, the same with the shrimp, rubbery and hard. It was our first time in Yuma visiting from the east coast and we already scouted places to eat. One place on our list was Angry Crab Shack. I was hesitant at first because I've eaten at similar restaurants serving seafood boil but glad we gave it a try. We ordered the neighborhoods block party special ( include lobsters, king crab, snow crab legs, mussels, shrimp, clams, potatoes, corn and sausages) with the trifecta sauce mild. The cooked seafood platter came with two container of sauce. We poured most of the sauce onto the seafood and kept some for dipping. The sauce was delicious. Our party finished the food except the corn and potatoes. The corn tasted funny, like it was going bad. I think it was perhaps cooked and left soaked in the liquid for too long. We didn't say anything to our waiter because we figured it would be the same if they gave us new order of corn. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner but we kept talking about the funny tasting corn. Our waitress was excellent. We informed her it was our first time and she explained the menu. When the platter came out we were missing 2 lobster tails and she informed us it will be coming. Honestly, we wouldn't know it was missing if she didn't tell us as it was a big platter. Next time we visit, this would be our go to place for seafood boil, maybe minus the corn. read more

My wife and I enjoy Angry Crab Shack in Phoenix, so while we were driving from San Diego and feeling hungry, my wife found an Angry Crab Shack location in Yuma. We decided to stop. When we entered the restaurant, it was almost empty, with only two tables occupied. We looked around for a moment, and as a server walked by, she completely ignored us. I politely asked her if we could sit anywhere. Without stopping, she turned to me with an angry tone, pointed toward the entrance, and said, "No, go there," as if she were commanding a dog that was misbehaving. That was enough for both of us -- we immediately walked out. With so many other dining options available, we will definitely never return to this Angry Crab Shack location. read more

I ordered the lobster roll and I specifically asked if the sandwich had chunks of lobster and I was told absolutely. When I got the sandwich, I just had to look at it and that was a lie . There wasn't one chunk of lobster in that sandwich, for both rolls. The fish in there was shredded and it did not taste like lobster at all so I have not been back to the Angry Crab for that reason. I don't like to be lied to. That isn't a lie . I'm from the MIdwest and when you order a Lobster Roll, it comes with real chunks of Lobster on a nice size bun. The sandwich itself is small therefore it makes this sandwich way overpriced for what you get even tho you get two. Just a heads up for all the Lobster lovers like me. read more

So "seafood po' boy sandwich's " attracted us to this inland "Cajun"seafood stop .The prices of $12-18 Bucks per Sandwich with only one side was somewhat off-putting, but the small portion of meat was really disappointing. In town visiting some friends and they took us out to lunch. Very similar to boiling crab and crab hut in SD. We ordered 2lbs of shrimp in the triple threat sauce which is the top 3 sauces mixed together. The nice option here is you can get easy peel shrimp with head off or whole shrimp. I've never had that option before and I must say it's a really nice option to have! It's much quicker to shell the shrimp this way. We also had an order for snow crab legs as well. The sauce was really good and a medium spice level was not spicy at all. We also tried their calamari which was ok. Heavily breaded. I also tried gator bites for the first time. It wasn't bad either. Overall, good spot. Really liked the easy peel shrimp option. They provide gloves and scissors for the crab legs. Wouldn't mind coming back portions are good here. read more

The service, just to get seated, was abysmal. The first person we encountered just looked at us and said nothing. Finally, I said, "Do we just seat ourselves?" She just looked at us until we asked again. She says, yes we seat you. How many, two? Yep, two. Now another female walks up, they chit chat. When the bartender appeared, she had her back/side to us fiddling around with the station around the corner. She finally yelled over that she'd be with us in a minute. It seemed that she just needed to finish something up real quick. Instead, it takes awhile, and then I see her starting another task. I looked at my wife and said, let's just go since we can't find anyone who gives a FUCK!! For anyone who has not eaten here, just know the poor service is not reflected in the pricing. A meal at Angry Crab is NOT CHEAP. Again, for potential new customers, you'll immediately be turned off by the interior. The walls, as well as, the hostess cubbie are covered in graffiti. Stars are for good crab and drinks by the bartender. Party of 6, glad we came in by 530 pm. Our server was on break so one of the other servers/host put in our beverage order. They came up pretty quick and were made well. We ordered a clam strip appetizer, caeser salad, a gator bites basket, 2 snow crab bags, 1 dungess crab bag, 1 shrimp bag, and a lobster under 2 lbs. All crab meals had ordered veggies, gator bites had corn, shrimp had 1 red potato, and the lobster had 4 red potatoes. The entire meal came out in stages- clam strips came out first, about 5 minutes later the salad as a side item for the lobster, then the gator bites, then about 10 minutes later the crab, and about 15 minutes after the crab the lobster finally came out after we had inquired where it was. I believe they had forgotten about it completely. The gator bites, clam strips, shrimp, and crab are all good, and the veggies were tasty, the corn and potatoes made correctly and not overdone, but the lobster was rubbery, had terrible flavor, and doused in butter (think like 2 sticks of butter and water that fills a quarter of a bag). The red potato for the shrimp had been given veggies instead. We needed crab claw crackers and silverware and was told there was none--all was being washed in the whole restaurant. About half way through the meal our server Maritza did bring us scissors. About 3/4 of the way through the meal, our server Maritza ask us if we still needed them (which we did). We had also asked for water for the table at the same time of the crackers and it took until almost the end of the meal before the 6 waters showed up (supposedly the ice bucket was being refilled at the same time we ordered it). Having worked as a waitress at 2 different restaurants in my past and several of the people at our table having been in the restaurant business as well, we found the service and the operation of the kitchen and dishwashing entirely lacking. For a restaurant not at full capacity due to covid restrictions, I would hate to know how bad it would have been if they had had full capacity. 18% automatic gratutity for a party of 6 should not come with automatic ignoring and lack of service to detail. Meal took 2 hours from when we sat down. I think I would order to go in the future and leave the crummy service and running of a restaurant behind. read more
