Immediately was greeted when I walked in. I signed up for the quiet Gong healing meditation. It was the day of the full moon and I needed a more calming vibe and I'm so glad I did. She told me what "supplies" we needed (we used two big heavy pillow things, two blankets, two blocks, and my own mat). I never knew yoga could utilize so many things but it was fun! We only did 4(ish) poses besides the warm up but the time flew by. And they felt so good and relaxing. The room was dark with fun lights. It was so pretty and so peaceful. Heather explained everything perfectly. And had some pretty great jokes. It was a really good, lighthearted, calm way to end my day. If I manage to get finances together, I'd love to do a membership here. Only con - parking is hard. Not much around there and no lot. But it's Noho. Just gotta prepare for that.

The bathroom though is incredibly small which is probably why they have half of their supplies in some lockers. The restrooms were clean and stocked up but had only two clean showers that had only cold water (sucks! get better Burbank!!) Overall, bach- pad vibes. However, we were denied entry simply because her ID said "North Hills" instead of "Northridge." North Hills is literally a neighboring local area, so this policy made absolutely no sense. The pass only states that a "local ID" is required, which she clearly had. The staff offered no reasonable explanation and made the situation feel extremely arbitrary and unwelcoming. If there are restrictions by city, they should clearly list them beforehand instead of wasting people's time. Very poor customer service and disappointing first impression.

They ask everyone to remove their shoes at the door, which shows how much they respect the space and the dancers. I've been to studios where people walk around in regular shoes on floors you're expected to dance on, and it just doesn't feel right. Here, you can tell they take pride in keeping the environment clean and safe. You can truly feel the difference when a studio values the people walking through their doors. It makes me want to keep coming back every time.

Phew! Last night was amazing! I took the Hip Hop Sweat Cycle class with Latosha and invited a…read morecouple friends! Parking is street parking, some streets have meters and some don't. To sign up for classes I used the phone app to reserve the bikes which was very quick to do. Shoe rental is $3 if you need to borrow shoes for the class. Before last night I had done one sweat cycle class with Yelp so this was my first real class and I felt so welcomed. When we arrived staff was soooo nice and helpful getting my friends set up on their bikes and helping me make sure that I had set mine up correctly. The room was so hot and humid that I felt like I'm in a tropical jungle. When class started everyone cheered and welcomed my friends and some other people who's first time it was and even the girl next to me gave me a high five and was so excited to meet me. I really loved everyone's happy and excited energy which definitely helped keep me pumped and moving. Being quite out of shape I can get self conscious about being new at something and slower at it than others, but everyone is so kind and uplifting! Latosha was very motivating while giving easy to follow instructions. The music is quite loud but I was able to hear her throughout the entire class. If you've been eyeing Sweat Cycle, I recommend just signing up for a class and just trying it! If you feel like it's getting too hot or you need a break, all you have to do is click out of the bike and go outside to get some fresh air and refill your water at the water station. Several people did this and then returned when ready to jump back into class. Listen to your body and have fun.
