We had been looking for frog legs at multiple restaurants, and finally got to try here. The size of the frogs was on the smaller end, but they gave plenty in one portion. Since the legs were fried, they were quite crispy, and the shell was seasoned well although the flavor didn't sink in that much into the actual frog leg meat (slightly bland but the meat was super tender). The star of the show were the mussels! The picture doesn't do it justice but the bowl was HUGE. Every time I felt like we were done with all the mussels, we'd dig through the sauce at the bottom and find a couple more. The taste of white wine was evident in the broth, and the mussels were fresh, chewy, and tender. We ended the great meal with the creme brulee, which was satisfying to crack the top and smooth and delicate on the interior. On the way out, we had left a hat inside, and the owner had ran after us to return it. Very kind people and great food to go along with it - recommend!!

The food was well prepared and was very tasty. My wife and I both enjoyed our meals. We were not thinking this was going to be haute cuisine. We simply wanted a well-prepared lunch and that is what we got. I would recommend it to anyone with Vohra. We prepared, reasonably priced lunch or dinner if you have to be in that part of Paris.

When we got there and asked for a food menu they informed us the kitchen had just closed. I was really disappointed we had just missed the service by 30 minutes but we decided to stay and order drinks anyways. After everything me and my friend had gone through to make our way to Paris the experience we had at L'escargot almost ALMOST made up for everything that had gone wrong. Me and my friend had a blast at this bar!! The bartenders spoke english and answered all our questions, they were extremely friendly and the drinks were cheap. The locals at this bar were so amazing as well. They did not speak fluent english but they did make an effort to speak to us and share their bar snacks with us. There was a group of locals celebrating a birthday party and they were dancing and were pulling people off their seats to dance with them. At one point in the night a group of other locals and tourist came in and the atmosphere in this bar got even more vibrant. Like I mentioned before the amazing experience we had in this bar almost made up for all the things that went wrong on our trip to Paris. Went for Dinner Food…read more- 3/5. Their beef tartare is amazing! At first glance, it looked too smooth and I was worried about a lack of texture. The first bite revealed that a healthy amount of finely diced cornichons were mixed into the tartare, creating a delicious crunch to pair perfectly with the smooth beef. The beef itself was fresh and the density created a full, rich flavor. Seasoning was perfect and the cornichons added a bit of tartness that elevated the tartare's flavor. I've never seen smoked duck breast served alongside beef tartare, and got pleasantly surprised with how well it worked. The harder texture and strong flavors of the smoked duck was a perfect fit for the tartare. The aged Parmesan performed a similar role and the basil sauce gave it an earthy tone. Unfortunately, the other items were disappointing in comparison. French onion soup was way too light. There was a lack of the deep sweetness from well caramelized onions and the stock had no depth. The cheese felt too heavy due to the weak soup, making it a chore to eat. The grilled beef, which appears to be a flank steak, was mediocre in flavor. The beef itself lacked taste, had weak seasoning, and was on the tough side. Shallot sauce was too mild, only having a bit of sweetness for flavor.
