I love the food and the vibes here. The staff was also very friendly. Great coffee and croissants.

Shrimp Risotto, tell them just keep the tails!

This was my first experience in the typical Parisian cafe. It was very very good. Probably one of my favorite streets in Paris for food and boulangeries that is hopping with locals, a variety of food options, and dog poo on the sidewalks! Yes watch where you walk! I saw it happen right in front of me on Martyrs 30mins after arriving in Paris! I guess that proves you're not in the tourist areas! This cafe was amazing, used great ingredients in their food and offered a great presentation to their foods. I highly suggest their chicken dinner which taste like someones grandma made for Sunday dinner. It's simple, tasteful, and simply delicious. The lobster risotto was good too. However, I really wish they leave the tails off. They also put more tails on my dish than were actual shrimps so it looked bigger than it was. That's why I removed a star. I'd rather you just leave them off and let me eat my delicious food. Risotto was good at the bottom where all the flavors soaked in, but the top and the shrimp could use a lil more flavor. Over all good food, good service, but wow is it tight in here. If you need more room seek a window or outdoor seat or feel highly claustrophobic even more so than the normal Parisian cafe. Weather was rainy so we didn't get this opportunity.

May 16, 2017 Tuesday - 1:30 PM for Lunch 4 Adults Atmosphere - 4 stars Food - 4 stars Service - 3 stars Background - Time to grab some food after our tour of the Montmarte. Atmosphere - A small place and another spot where we need to move the table to sit. Vibrate colors make the place more lively. Food Drinks - Picon beer. Lunch - Les Croques Madame, I was told I had to have one while in Paris. The meat and cheese where lost with the bread and egg. Service - I really thought they forgot about us after they sat us. After that rough start things moved well. Future - Sure.

Luca was my server and he was very welcoming in hospitable to this weary traveler. I sat on the patio towards the end of the row so I could take in the atmosphere and people watch a bit. Luca Recommended a meal with a mashed potatoes and sausage with French bread and salad and it sounded tasty so I gave it a go! All the flavors went well together; mashed potatoes were well seasoned the sausage had a good flavor, and the salad with the vinaigrette added a crunch in an extra flavor as well. I drank a French hard cider while I gobbled up my meal, which also was new for me and tasted great after I was done my meal. Luke brought me a shot with rum and some other ingredients, including lemon that definitely hit the spot after a good meal.I recommend Brasserie Belanger for anyone near GDN Train Station that enjoys great food and patio dining. Cheers!

The restaurant itself isn't small, but really not big, so it's definitely worthwhile to make a reservation at least a week or so on advance, otherwise you're pushing your luck. Everyone ordered steak frites (2 rump steak, 2 flank) and no one was disappointed. Steaks were cooked to order, although medium here in France is more like medium rare in the States, just be advised. The restaurant itself is lively and fun with lots of chatting, laughing and good times being shared. Desserts were Crème Brûlée and Apple Crumble, neither of which were disappointing. We definitely enjoyed our dinner and would likely return again. This time with a reservation made well in advance.

Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated right away. This restaurant is really big. There's outdoor seating, and indoors on a first and second floor. As seen by my food pics, everything was delish. Our servers were Kylian and Marie-Alix, both of which were very friendly and attentive; having great servers just closes out a great experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

When the restaurant reopened, things only got worse. Our party of five was first told we didn't have a reservation and then was offered a table for four right by the entrance. We were later offered a high-top table, but I explained that I had recently undergone knee surgery and could not sit comfortably at a high-top. The manager's response was simply that it was the only option available, and she walked away. We were told the preferred tables were reserved. When I asked if we could make a reservation for one of those tables, I was told no because the restaurant had just reopened. The entire interaction left us feeling unwelcome. A customer sitting at the bar even commented that he believed we were being treated differently and said it appeared the restaurant did not want us there. After waiting more than two hours just for the restaurant to reopen, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. The poor communication, lack of accommodation, and overall service were unacceptable. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

The staff was all very friendly and inviting and were happy to recommend their favorite dishes to us. My wife ordered a French onion soup and one of their famously large salads, which are served in these big bowls. I decided to try the chef's special, which was a beef tenderloin a la rossini (truffle sauce and foie gras). I'm not typically a foie gras fan, but I figured since we're in Paris that I'd give it a shot. I'm very glad I did because it was absolutely delicious. The steak melded perfectly with the truffle sauce and fois gras. This was all served with potatoes au gratin, and blanched green beans. Everything was perfect. I also ordered two large beers. A Grimbergin blonde and a Kronenbourg ale. I love how both beers were served in their respective brand's glasses. Such a nice touch. For dessert, we ordered an Apple Tarte Tartin, upon a recommendation from one of the staff. It was light, sweet, and served with some ice cream and créme fraîce. This was such a great dinner all around. Great food, great vibes, which all lead to a great evening. Would definitely recommend!

I admit, I'm not very adventurous with food and don't care for traditional French food, so I had the grilled salmon, which was delicious. My husband, who does enjoy traditional French food, had the cassoulet with beans, sausage, and duck confit. He absolutely LOVED his meal and said it was probably the best meal he had while in Paris. And to complete our meal, we finished off with crème brûlée -- yum! [Yelp collections: Europe 2024; Paris, France]

**EXCELLENT WINES AND SIMPLE RUSTIC FRENCH CUISINE**…read more Wonderfully friendly staff. Welcomed immediately with a glass of red wine. Very small restaurant. No tourists; only locals and repeat French customers. We sat outside. ORDERED: *FOIE GRAS House made and simply DIVINE on freshly toasted baguette bread. I wanted to take a bath in this. OMG! *DUCK CONFIT Beautiful leg served with scalloped potatoes. The meat could have been a bit more tender, but overall a good solid entree. *FRUIT TART Good, but not great. The pastry could have baked a bit longer. Loved the sweet plums though. We also ordered a bottle of their excellent Cabernet France for 17 euros. My darling didn't care for their espresso and I was not impressed with their version of a cappuccino. Dinner altogether was 73 euros. OTHER NOTES ============= Some of their staff members are from Le Mascote restaurant, but since the restaurant is currently closed; they cooked and served here. Same quality of food; cheaper in price. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the wine, foie gras, and any seafood dish. They have great daily specials.

The menu consists of typical French fare with your duck confit and your steak tartar etc. The wine is sold by volume and all priced at the same rate. Bulk of the other clientele consists of local repeat customers, as we saw a lot of them greeting the bar tender affectionately. For lunch, we had the duck confit and the Lyon sausages (one of the day's specials). The waiter recommended a strong red wine to go with the duck and a lighter, younger chilled red to go with the sausages. He hit it spot on in terms of the pairing. Both main courses were simple and delicious. We ended our meal with wonderful house-made chocolate mousse. Having stumbled onto this little place on the last day of our week long trip in Paris, we were pleasantly surprised with our wonderful experience at Le Colibri. Simple and authentic, this is definitely our favourite place to eat in Paris.
