Wow. It was masssive plate of food

Glad I found this place. Very quite nice and welcoming. Excellent wait staff and great food.

I wish we had come here soon!!!! After having been to Argentina, I've had the real deal and this is it! And I'm so glad we found it because the next best has been in Miami We came on a Friday night and it's such a quaint restaurant! Easily got a table and the wait staff was so friendly. We ordered some drinks and then got a morcilla and chorizo with some bread as an appetizer which delicious! For dinner, one of us got the milanesa en pan which is a sandwich and this is massive!!! You definitely could share and then also the small parillada which is also massive. We shared it with 3 people and it was PLENTY! The meats all were amazing quality and everything was delicious. I always find chinchulines/sweetbreads to be the true test and these were delicious. A gem of a spot and a must try!

Great food and great service! We've been here a few times and tried several dishes, but the PICANHA and the GARLIC FRIES are definitely our favorites. The restaurant's menu is inspired by Argentinian and Uruguayan flavors. As a Brazilian, I love it because the food reminds me of home. It's casual, relaxed, and we've never had to wait for a table on Sundays at lunchtime. The PICANHA plate comes with two sides and we usually go for double fries. Definitely ask for it with their garlic herb sauce, it makes the dish even better! They also serve bread when you sit down, and those little rolls with butter are seriously amazing. I've also tried the CHURRASCO DE ENTRAÑA, which was delicious, though the picanha still wins for me. The BEEF EMPANADA is another solid choice, crispy outside and flavorful inside. Overall, this is one of our go-to spots for a satisfying, flavorful meal!

family in from NJ and wanted a good steak -- found this gem of a place with a whole parrillada! LOVED IT. the drinks were good as well -- had margaritas and caipirinhas. Casual Argentinian (i believe) place on buford hwy, delicious steaks and other proteins. We had mashed potatoes and cesar salad as sides.

This is my second time at this place. I stopped for lunch and had no complaints. Our server was wonderful and the food was delicious. The empanadas with chimichurri coupled with a choripan were a good start. The steak was juicy and the roasted vegetables were a good companion. Please visit this place if you are in the area. You will enjoy a good meal.

The beef empanada was delicious, but the portions for the chivito with fries was huge. Otherwise, the chivito was just okay but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately another customer went into an argument with me after I paid for my meal, but the staff handled it well.

If you're looking for a fun, cheaper steakhouse in Atlanta, Sabores is the place to go! We went for a small group dinner and it was soo packed but we lucked into a table from a canceled reservation. Our waiter was great and everything came out super quickly. I had the churrasco for my entree and it was massive! The meat was cooked well and we all really liked the chimichurri, the only thing I would critique is that the flavor could have been a bit stronger. We then had some chaja to share and it was really good too! Overall the meal was much cheaper than what I'd expect to pay at a Latin American steakhouse, so I'll definitely be back if I want steak but don't want to spend a fortune on it!

Food is fantastic, I tried Rice Seasoned fries Picanha Both empanadas Chimichurri is fantastic. Place is quiet The plate of cheese too and bread all good, but the best was the service, José is the best of the best service I had in Atlanta, well deserved tip. Can't wait to go back

You can find Sabores Del Plata at 6200 Buford Hwy, Norcross, GA 30071 - this is the stretch of Buford Hwy that has major construction so much of the center is blocked - you may need to make a U-turn depending on which direction you're traveling - just an FYI. The parking lot is a bit of a mess as there are many businesses - coming during slightly off-hours is best. Sabores Del Plata is an Uruguayan-style steakhouse - that means meat and a lot of it, as the restaurant's signature dishes. The interior is low and a bit dark, perfect for the consumption of massive amounts of protein. I met with Laura C. to try the place out (as an aside, I couldn't make Daniel B.'s UYE when he had it here years ago). We arrived slightly before the lunch rush so seated immediately. The place filled up quickly so we placed our orders right away. We started with a couple of empanadas, which went quickly. I preferred the beef over the ham. For entries I ordered the choripan filled with delicious sausage. Laura got the Bandeja del Plata with vegetables and mashed potatoes (which sounded intriguing to her). Neither Laura or I was a fan of the potatoes although I'm sure others would like it. We finished up with the Chaja cake - three layers of caramel, peaches and cream. We both liked it a lot. Service was good with prompt staff and quick refills. In all a good experience - next time I'm getting a "death by meat" plate though. The Churrasco looks devine.

Dropped by with three friends for a casual meat-fest and honestly? It was a vibe. The place carries that authentic South American energy you can't fake -- warm, a little rustic, and the staff? Super sweet and attentive. The meat? Cooked just right. Not too salty (which I love, since I'm not big on salt), and full of flavor. One of my friends tried the chinchulines (intestines) and mentioned a slightly gritty bite -- maybe a bit of sand? It was only in one piece, so we didn't make a fuss. I ordered the piña colada and... wow. Hands down one of the best I've had -- creamy, refreshing, and dangerously easy to drink. Highly recommend it if you like your cocktails tropical with a kick. If you're a meat lover, this place is definitely worth checking out -- get the mixed grill and share it with friends. Just a heads-up for fellow Koreans : they don't serve pickled sides like kimchi or pickles (culture difference!) so I strongly recommend ordering a green salad to balance things out.

    CHIVITO AL PLATO PARA 2

I visited Sabores del Plata and tried the Chivito al Plato for 2 ($40), which was mostly fries and salad with very little meat. The meat itself was bland, overcooked, and overly salty in parts like the ham and bacon. The ham and cheese empanada was fine, but nothing special. The mango juice tasted overly sweet and artificial, not like real mango. The service was good since we were the only ones there, and the decor was nice, but the food didn't impress for the price.

This place Ive been wanting to go to for over 20 years. Even though I drive by a lot it just never happened. So the other day I went. It was full except for 1 table. It seems to be a busy place and clientele mostly Latino. I ordered the Entrana. I know you can never expext any Uruguayan or Argentine restaurant to be as good as down there. The beef does not get enough green grass, and good grass is just one of the reasons. The dish was good. I opted not to get the fries as they dont use sea salt. I have no idea why but I asked if its sea salt and waiter was honest and he said no. Sea salt makes fries so much better. I may go back for a Chivito, Uruguays national sandwich! I have a second home and across the street is a big Uruguayan restaurant and I asked for one there and the didnt even know what it was. Granted that is far from here but just shows dont expect the same. Here though the waiter knew the food. For those that dont travel you should like this place.

What a feast ! We ordered food that we thought was enough for 4 and turned out to be enough for 8 !!!! Portions are big and super tasty ! We liked EVERYTHING we ordered ! This is a nice place and service was great. Ambiance was good overall and we had a great experience. Price was reasonable for sure. I am definitely coming back here next time I am in town. !

I'll preface this by saying we are regular diners and frequently order to-go from here too, so this isn't a problem with the food quality - which is always good. Arriving at 10:45AM, I'd expected to be on the early side of the brunch rush, and the restaurant remained pretty quiet for the first 30 minutes. It was very cold, and we asked for this to be addressed. We appeared to have a dedicated server who welcomed us warmly, fixed drink orders and offered recommendations. However, he had another (new?) server shadowing him after that, and a few things were missed by her (no straws, milk for coffee served in a bowl instead of a jug, water without lemon served with lemon pips in it, and a forgotten request for a taste of the sausage gravy). Then things took a bigger turn after we placed our entree orders. We asked for jelly or jam for biscuits and were told there wasn't any. We asked for honey and syrup for the French toast, and it took a long time to arrive (so those entrees were cold by the time the diners got to eat them). One order came with the wrong side, and one diner had to ask for fresh biscuits because those on the plates were already cold. No one ever came to bring one missing drink, or to take further/refill orders from any of the group. The chilly temperature of the dining room stayed frigid throughout. We did appreciate the professionalism of our primary server, and the sweet gestures to the Moms in the group (it was Mothers' Day). However, the communication between servers, and with management, and between front of house and kitchen, were all completely off that day. It was especially disappointing based on previous positive experiences. Despite flagging the issues to the manager on duty, we left feeling rushed, disappointed and with the impression that they didn't really care. There were huge groups of people waiting to be seated by the time we left, so hopefully the team was just warming up when we got there and I hope the experience improved for others throughout the service period. I'm not looking forward to going back, however - it felt like we were being used for staff training on one of the business Sunday brunch services of the year, and not at all like the usual dinner experience.
