When I ordered flowers, they insisted on getting my mailing address. Claimed it was due to anti-stalking law. All flowers must be traceable. Because I was in the midst of a divorce and unfortunately still living with my ex-wife due to child custody and financial reasons, I asked if they would ever send anything to my home. Oh no, they said. They never do that. I explained the situation. They promised to never send me anything. One week later, a catalog was sent to my house. A week after that, a card thanking me for my flower order. One year later, they send me a card in the mail to my old (now ex-wife's) address. It has the name of the person I sent flowers to, the occasion I sent them and other private details. They lied to me. They caused a huge fight. LaSalle Flower Shop are asshats. Now, you may think that a separation/divorce is an unusual circumstance. But 50% of marriages end this way. And this could spoil lots of stuff. What if you were getting flowers again for your partner. This would ruin the surprise. What if they were flowers of condolences for a loss. This would be a painful reminder. LaSalle Flower Shop is thoughtless, tasteless, violates its customers privacy and lies about it along the way. Avoid. read more

Bought some to surprise my girlfriend at work on her birthday. The flowers looked great and came in a Vase. I think it was around 50-60 dollars which really isn't too bad for deliver, vase, and really beautiful flowers. Needless to say if I ever want to surprise someone with flowers again I will go to LaSalle Flower Shop. read more

Forgot to review this place after recently made an account. I had worked nearby for years, I had probably spent upwards of $1000 for birthdays, mothers day, etc over the years. I placed an order sort of last minute for mothers day Friday, I apologized for putting it in so last minute and asked for confirmation that they would be able to execute this delivery on such a busy day. I was assured by the owner that my mother would get her bouquet during the day. I had my girlfriend who works with my mom as the cell phone contact for the order, and they had delivered to this location several times before. Long story short, their management had assured me during mothers day after several calls that the driver was on his way, my mother wasted an hour after getting off work before I told her to just go home. They ended up delivering the day old, withered bouquet and a new one of the same type to her home the next day, after being told that she would get an upgraded bouquet free of charge for their mothers day mistake. I went to the shop the next business day and got a half hearted apology, no explanation for the same bouquet when told that she would get a much better one, and a refusal for a refund when told the updated bouquet was the same size as the original purchase, or why the day old bouquet was also delivered. I am fiercely protective of my mother and they could not provide an adequate explanation for wasting my mothers time or having any contact with their drivers. I suggested she order cell phones for the company that drivers only use when they are out for deliveries. Makes too much sense, right? I explained to this unprofessional woman that she had wasted my money, undelivered on two promises to make things right, and most important to me made my mother waste her time on a day that was supposed to be special. I also reminded her of the money I had spent over the years, not to mention the dozens of people who I worked with that I had referred to them. Bottom line, if you want to get flowers for someone you care about, avoid this place at all costs. It sucks because the delivery guys are total sweethearts, but their unprofessional boss costs them business. read more

I used La Salle Flowers for my wedding and they did a perfect job! Their price as in line, if not a little lower than everyone else we talked to. I didn't have an exact bouquet in mind, just an idea of what I wanted. The florist was knowledgeable and helpful and we talked for a while about my choices. Very disappointed and will never use them again. Ordered $225 worth of flowers at 10 am to be delivered to hyde park this afternoon for a special occasion which I was quite explicit about; Because of the weather they told me they couldn't leave it outside so I made sure that someone was home to receive within a 2 hour window which I confirmed was no problem; By evening when I hadn't heard from the recipient, I called and was told that it was too late (5:45pm) to contact the driver to find out about the delivery and that I would be contacted tomorrow. However tomorrow was too late as I expressly had told them that I needed the $225 worth of flowers delivered TODAY; I and my company have used LaSalle flowers extensively over the last decade but if I have anything to do with it, I and my company will never use them again. It is incredulous that a florist cannot contact their delivery driver at 5:45 pm to find out why and what. LaSalle Flower ruined my special day read more

Lordy! I just got off the phone from ordering sympathy flowers. I told the florist I would like something for the year-anniversary of small children who lost their dad. Silence. I then asked if a certain bouquet would be appropriate "They're fine," is all she said. She was curt, terse, annoyed, impatient when I didn't have the phone number handy of the recipients, and never said thank you for my order. I had recently ordered centerpieces for a banquet through LaSalle and they did not fail me. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. The arrangements we beautifully made and very much in bloom. They set them up for me and we're very attentive to the detail and placement of the flowers. Very disappointed with LaSalle flower shop. I order the $30 daily deal for delivery, $42 all up including tax. Was advised over the phone it would be a spring bunch... i don't know flowers so I wasn't fussed what flowers were included as long as they were pretty. Delivery arrived in a horrible glass short square vase which had flowers on it, very old skool and something my gran would have! The flowers also looked like they were old, had bits cut off them to remove any wilted stems. It definitely wasn't worth the money, the recipient and I would have been happier if I'd gone to Walmart or even Walgreens thats how bad it was! Maybe you get a different service if you go in and choose the arrangement, maybe it's because I asked for the daily deal but I was not advised of the 'add on' that was the glass vase. read more

Well, I agree with the positive reviews. We've tried lots of different florists in Chicago, and we've tried the usual online-services too. La Salle Flowers has been the best. The quality of the flowers has been consistently better than what we could get elsewhere; the flowers last a lot longer (a bouquet of roses living almost a week in a seriously overheated apartment!); prices are reasonable; the arrangements are beautiful; and delivery was always on time. read more

We absolutely LOVED our flowers for our wedding. They showed up to the church exactly when they said they would with the most beautiful flower arrangements. We weren't quite sure what we wanted, but Margie took down my ideas, told me not to worry about it, and I didn't. The end result was fantastic. We shopped around to different flower shops in the area and they were by far the most reasonably priced and we didn't feel like we were emptying our life savings or half our wedding budget on flowers. I would absolutely recommend them for future weddings. The bouquets also lasted for over a week after the wedding, which was so nice. read more

Ordered flowers, company claimed no one by that name lived at the address I gave them. They charged me 20 bucks for "trying". Problem is I know the address was correct and I don't know if they even tried to deliver. Sounds like a shabby company. read more

I tried to order flowers for an out of state occasion. I agreed to an amount for the flowers and received a call the next day from LaSalle stating the out of state florist wanted $10 more for unknown reason why and said they would call to check why. Four hours later when I checked back, nothing changed, no response, no flowers delivered and half the day gone. I canceled the order with LaSalle and found an out of state florist to deliver the flowers. Really dissatisfied with the service. On another separate occasion with LaSalle back in March 2018, I pre-ordered a wrist corsage (4 days before pick up)based on on-line pictures for an early Saturday morning event. I arrived as the shop was opening, expecting the corsage to be ready and had to wait for them to design the corsage. LaSalle did not have the flowers as advertised and it looked totally different from what I expected and paid for. I will not use this florist again. Their service has declined over the years that I've periodically used them. read more

I ordered flowers from La Salle Flowers to be delivered to a hospital patient, unfortunately they could not be delivered due the recipient being in the ICU. Margie and her team called the hospital everyday to see if the patient had been moved out of the ICU and kept me in the loop every step of the way. I ordered flowers for a co worker of mine and when the flowers go here, the water fell out of the vase which made the carrying case soaking wet. The a majority of the flowers were damaged and had to be thrown away. Also, the flowers that were promised in the picture were not included in the purchase because " they did not have them in stock." As someone who does not complain and understand things happen i was expecting better customer service and a refund because i did not pay the amount i did for practically dead flowers as well as missing flowers that were promised in the picture. read more

Dozen roses looked big and beautiful upon unwrapping. However upon immediate inspection,one of the heads was partially broken off from its base (but too early for petals to show injury--doubtful this was a travel injury). They immediately picked this arrangement up and replaced with a second, but 2nd arrangement not opening as they should. LaSalle said they'd pick up this one, too, and then cancel the order--thanks but at this price I expected unbroken roses that opened properly (instead of distressed ones that look good upon arrival but don't open). read more

I was extremely pleased with LaSalle Flower Shop. I ordered flowers on behalf of my boss and we had the wrong address in the address book. When they delivered the flowers and were alerted that the person worked at the other office, Lupe looked up the address, called to confirm with me, and made sure the flowers would be delivered to the correct place the next day-to the suburbs no less. She was friendly and one of the more helpful people I've ever worked with. I will definitely be using them more in the future. read more

A month ago I called at noon to have flowers delivered to the South Side for a visitation service at 5:00 pm that afternoon, and it was no problem for them. The family said the arrangement was the best one of all. La Salle searched other locations to find the flowers and put together a truly spectacular display. It was delivered to my wife's office right on time. On 11/25/13 at 10am I bought a thanksgiving centerpiece. On 11/25/13 at 11:00am I received a coupon for $10 off the very same arrangement I just bought. I brought the order confirmation and email into the store showing same. The owner would not honor the coupon because "I didn't use it at the time of purchase." I ordered flowers from your website hoping that the flowers delivered were as nice as the website photo since I would not get to personally see the gift. My daughter called immediately upon receipt and told me how beautiful the arrangement was. I talked to her one week later and she said the flowers still looked fresh. She sent me a photo of the flowers after that conversation, and I must admit that for week old flowers they sure looked good. I can only imagine how pretty they were upon delivery, but flowers rarely last that long and still look nice. The arrangement also looked like the picture on the website. Kudos to all who had to process the order, make up the order and then deliver the order when requested. I would definitely order from again. read more
