Family run food trailer across from Cypress Mounds complex. Usually open for dinner on weeknights. Papusas with pork, cheese, and chicharones. Baleadas are tortillas folded in half stuffed with avocado, pork, beans and lots of other goodness. Cash only, but you can feed a family for under $20 easily. Mexican coke, fried fish, spicy slaw. Besides La Reyna, this is the best Latin food in Baton Rouge. Get you some

Tostadas!!!! The best thing u can put in ur mouth for $2.50!!!

This place is delicious!!! It's super close to LSU and cheap so it's very convenient for my friends and I to eat at. Don't really expect service as a sit down restaurant. It's usually a 16 yr old boy taking your order at the register or the table and the food is brought to you. The food is simply delicious. I've had the tostadas which are so addictive--I always get 2. Second favorite is the pupusas, which are melt in your mouth delicious. The tacos are also great! I'm telling you, you just can't go wrong with anything here and it certainly won't break the bank

Meal from la salvadoreña's new Nicholson location. Amazing!

Best papusas in Baton Rouge. The steak taco is also very good! This review is for the Nicholson location which is located in the former Willy's chicken and waffles.

Beef stew was fresh tasting & awesome (I spiced it up w/ their sauces). I am definitely going back for the tacos, & fish.

Best tacos in Baton Rouge from the nicest owner. Tostadas are to die for and super affordable. $2 steak taco better than the Run house.

There aren't many people there that speak English, and that's a good thing. While I'm not a scholar of Honduran food, I'm pretty sure that this is some authentic stuff. It really doesn't matter what I order; I'm guaranteed that it'll be a culinary adventure into something new and very, very tasty. Memorable dishes include the pastelitos de carne molida, and the pollo frito con tajadas.

This restaurant is a fully authentic and family run small business you have to try for yourselves. It's located in a small building on the eastern portion of Florida Blvd., east of the Hi Neighbor Supermarket. They have takeout, but there is also an adequate amount of seating so one can comfortably eat in. The menu explains each dish to the uninitiated, and there are some great combination plates. However, you could also order an appetizer and a side or two to make your own combination or to try different things. A couple of papusas and a side might make a nice option. Don't forget the authentic drinks while you are at it. There's several types of sodas you should check out. I had my first banana flavored Honduran soda last time I stopped in, it's was deliciously different!
