During a previous visit, we were charged for a dish we never ordered. We didn't notice until after we left, so we actually had to drive all the way back to get it sorted out. The manager refunded us and told us to mention the mix-up next time so they could buy us a complimentary drink. When we returned this week, we explained the situation. It took the staff a surprisingly long time to figure out what was going on, and what bugged me was that nobody even asked for a name, phone number, receipt, or any kind of info to verify the story. The whole interaction made us feel incredibly awkward, like they just assumed we were trying to scam them for a free drink. Eventually, they brought the drink, but things got even weirder. The server dropped it off in a massive rush, didn't say a single word, spilled some of it all over the table, and just walked away immediately. I honestly have no idea what happened or if we somehow offended him, but it felt completely uncalled for and rude. The atmosphere is still nice and the food is fine, but nothing is good enough to make up for that level of poor service. Mistakes happen--it's how you handle them that matters. Between the initial billing error, the time wasted driving back to fix it, and the attitude we got on this visit, I don't see myself coming back. It's really disappointing because this honestly used to be one of my go-to spots.
