I see you Indian food fan - sometimes your curry fix but in a compact, handheld form. Or maybe you are mad that you can't get samosas as big as your hand. Well fear not - Samosa Paradise can do those things for you and more. This restaurant is just steps off Newark Ave. There is indoor seating but has more the feel of a casual take out place. To be clear - this place seems to be Pakistani rather than Indian given the outline of Pakistan on the wall. Nevertheless, I do highly recommend The Famous Samosa for your samosa aficionados. Biggest samosa I've ever seen. And delicious too! I also tried the chicken tikka roll which was also very good. Gave me the flavors I was looking for wrapped in an easy to eat naan. Would definitely eat here again.

We went for night snacking around 9:30pm Saturday night, was so glad to see this store, where others were closing. Neat and clean store, menu has different types of samosa, kebabs, desserts, and few types of biryanis. We loved the samosa chat here. The dish was big, topped with all sorts of sauces. It blended so well. Absolute must try. Liked the kheer a lot too. The chicken samosa was also huge. Didn't like it as much, as the skin was too thick and over fried. It's a self service store. Lots of people do take out. Food comes out pretty fast. Looking forward trying other items here.

If you're anywhere near India Square in Jersey City, run - don't walk - to Samosa Paradise. At the owner's recommendation, we tried the original samosa chaat, chana samosa chaat, and papdri chaat, and each one was perfectly balanced - crispy, tangy, and spicy in all the right ways. And not to mention their chutney game was insane! The chicken samosa had a nice kick, and the classic aloo samosa was golden and flaky with a soft, flavorful filling. SERIOUSLY THE CHICKEN SAMOSA TAKES YOU BACK TO PAKISTAN, IT'S SO GOOD!! The surprise favorite? Their chicken biryani. It was steamy, aromatic, and so satisfying, and caught me totally off-guard as we came in for chai-time snacks. Service was quick, friendly, and no-fuss. It's a small, casual spot, but the energy is warm and fast-paced. Exactly what you want from a proper street food joint. Can't wait to go back.

Get the Samosa Chat! Dropped in for a quick snack and this was a great idea. Pretty to start and yum from the very first bite, I almost ruined my evening meal with this appetizer. This hit on all the requirements of a samosa chat; spicy, sweet and tangy. This was definitely more than enough to share as an appetizer or enough for a stand alone meal on its own. The Keema Samosa was just a tad high on the sodium but it was huge! My picture doesn't do justice to the size but this could be double the size of any other samosa I've ever had. I had read of issues with long waits for takeout so I ordered well in advance and didn't have any issues with pickup.

Famous samosa and chicken tikka roll were very good. The chicken tikka roll was kind of messy to eat.

I love this place because their food is amazing. Here is what they excel at: - best samosas that I have had outside of Pakistan. These warm up well in the toaster oven if you take them home - by extension they have amazing samosa chaat - best Jalebi that I have had outside of Pakistan- warm, crispy, crunchy and holds up well for a few days at home too I recently tried their chicken biryani and I was a huge fan of that too.

Just around the corner from Newark St. in this little gem, I discovered Best Samosas in Jersey City! Diced potatoes and a generous size. Chai was extra hot and made without sugar which can be difficult to find around here. Channa was authentic tasting spicy and flavorful. The plain Naan is made with care and not overly doughy or dry. It's balanced and crisp which paired nicely with the chickpeas/Channa. Chapli Kabab here is made from chicken. It is not something I had tried before. It was adorned with fresh onion and parsley which elevated what would be a greasy chicken dish. The meat was grilled to perfection and crisp. The last taste was the Tikka Roll. The wrap was thin and packed full of chicken, lettuce, and tomatoes. This was prepared slightly sweet which helped to balance the spice from the Channa. Long story short, I will be back!

Stopped by the other day to get my usual 3 for $5 samosas and was told it's only available after 7 pm. I walked out . I used to come here once a week and always before 7pm . If you pay cash it's less, make sure they give the cash discount when paying with cash .

Best Jalebi's in the area !!! They make them so crispy thin and fresh, melt in the mouth. Gosh, you can never have enough of them. Quick service and has a lot of other appetizers to choose from. I will definitely go back for the Samosas after seeing all the glorious reviews.

We ordered Gol Gappay, lamb biryani, Gosht Karahi, and a naan. The Gol Gappay was interesting. Crispy shells filled with chickpeas and potato, with a tangy, salty, savory flavor. Adding a little yogurt balanced it out nicely. Definitely something different. The lamb biryani was around the low teens price-wise and came in a huge portion with plenty of meat. The lamb was slightly dry -- felt like it may have been prepared earlier and kept warm -- but still flavorful and within expectations for the price. The standout for us was the Gosht Karahi. Tender but slightly chewy lamb, very savory and well seasoned, with lots of large chunks of meat. It looks a bit pricey at first, but considering how much meat you actually get, it felt like a solid value. We packed up half of it and still thought the leftovers were more generous than some restaurants' fresh servings. The naan was massive. Good flavor, although it didn't have that super fresh-out-of-the-tandoor smoky char. Funny enough, reheating it in the air fryer at home made it even better. One thing to know: every dish here runs large, so this place is better with a group. There are parking spots in front, but not many.

It's unfortunate that I have to post this as I feel despite us voicing our concern (multiple times) in person with the staff and also on the phone when ordering take out, the staff is not trained and do not take certain dietary restrictions seriously such as food allergies. After having a child who suffers from peanut and egg allergies, whenever we have dined or ordered from here as of lately, we have politely asked for certain food not to be served together and prepared properly. After expressing this, the staffs answer is rude and with an attitude and us being told "ok i'll just put it in a separate plate" after it being cross contaminated and served. Then during a take out order when we called to alert that there is an allergy, to please ensure the food is properly handled and packed separately from egg-containing items, we were told (specifically by Jaspreet) it is already prepared and packed, so the best that can be done is taken out and packed separately instead of adhering to the urgency of the matter and re-preparing the food. Our child broke out in hives due to their negligence in the past and I fear that their inefficiency to understand the seriousness of this matter will one day result in legal action being taken against this establishment if God forbid someone else has a reaction or worse a Fatality. My post isn't intended towards the quality of the food, it is more so to be heard and create awareness on this matter as it seems this establishment can care less towards your health needs. Update: We were contacted by ownership (Ishrath) and accused of being in the wrong and were met with disrespect and advised not to come to this establishment anymore as they cannot meet our "crazy demands." We should have been heard out, which was explained to co-ownership (Sobia) a few minutes after my review was posted, that this wasn't a personal jab towards the establishment however has happened to us on multiple accounts, specifically from staff member Jaspreet the past two times in a matter of two weeks. There was no apology on the matter, just defensiveness in a "sweet tone." This is more so a validation that despite us voicing our concerns multiple times in person, it has fallen on deaf ears and it is unfortunate that we have had to go to such extremes as posting this to be heard. Since my post, we see the attempt to have our post buried, and quite frankly hope it made a difference, albeit they have lost our business however we know the restaurant will still thrive. Still wishing them the best of luck and hopefully prevents any future consequence on this matter.

We've always enjoyed the food, but unfortunately, something has definitely changed since our last visit -- and not for the better. We ordered several dishes, including the Baithakh Seekh Kebab Roll, Crispy Fried Chicken Burger, Beef Paya, Beef Nihari, Peshawari Mutton Karahi, and Chicken Malai Boti. To our surprise, nearly everything was a letdown. The Beef Paya and Peshawari Mutton Karahi were both swimming in oil and severely lacked flavor, which was shocking considering how good they used to be. The Fried Chicken Burger had decent seasoning, but the chicken itself was tough and rubbery -- almost inedible. The Chicken Malai Boti was okay, but even that wasn't as tender or flavorful as we've had here before. Maybe they've changed chefs or recipes, but the quality just isn't the same anymore. Baithakh had never failed us before, but this visit was a major disappointment. Sadly, we're giving it a 2 out of 5 stars. We hope they find their way back to the standard that once made them great.

The seating arrangement feels too cramped for the space, making it difficult to move around comfortably. When concerns are raised, the standard response is simply, "we will let them know," without any visible follow-up. We genuinely enjoy dining here and would like to continue visiting.
