And I'm not just talking about the chocolate covered almonds she was offering, complete with organza mini-bags that you can take home as a treat. What I am talking about is also the event planning and organization she does. She has such a great eye for aesthetics and high attention to detail, I could definitely tell she has a passion for making anything look perfectly beautiful. As a designer, I am very picky (and to be honest, also very critical) when it comes to event presentation and visual design. She took care of even the smallest of details for her beautiful booth at the event, to me representing not only her impeccable work but her dedication to make anything she does memorable, and making it stand out from the rest. If you need anyone to plan your event I would honestly recommend Fantasia Romantica. You would not only have a fun and friendly Francesca helping you but also doing a job VERY well done.

Francesca created a detailed itinerary that took us from Florence to beach town Forte Dei Marmi, followed by the castle at Porto Venere where I proposed on the rooftop of the church with panoramic views of the rugged La Spezia coastline. After my girlfriend said "yes" (the best part!) we had dinner at the amazing restaurant underneath the castle. Because it was off season the restaurant was closed. But Francesca worked with the manager to open the restaurant just for us. Our table was decorated beautifully with flowers and candles while the doors of the restaurant were opened so we could experience the moonlight glittering against the waves as we dined. The entire day was captured by renowned photographer Thomas Harris (www.thomasharris.it) who, in addition to being an amazingly artistic photographer, exhibited an oscar worthy performance by pretending to be shooting for an Italian tourist magazine as he shadowed our every move. Thank you Francesca for a day that we will remember forever.

They set up the appetizers out in the hallway when you walk in. Food was tasty and natural. It's a farm to table type of set up. My sister is vegetarian and wanted something as close to natural as she could find. The place where we had dinner was in another room that had a long table for all of us to sit at like a kings dinner. It's about a 40 minute drive outside if Rome. It's like a little farm in the countryside. Very peaceful and relaxing. Was nice to get outside of the busy crowded city and away from all the tourists. Very memorable and private.

That alone made me thrilled to have selected the Borgo for my wedding! This beautiful farmstay is about 30 minutes from the city (Rome). Once you arrive, you can literally feel the mayhem of the city and any concerns just melt away. It's serene, it's lush, the air is fresh and the accommodations are comfortable. The entire staff are among the most accommodating hosts I've ever met and put me at total ease when making decisions, changing plans, or dealing with unexpected issues. They were also just incredibly kind to me, my husband, and our guests. We got married at the end of December and it was still beautiful (especially the light at dusk), so I can only imagine how lush and romantic any other time of year is here. This is a charming location for a special event - they will accommodate a large or small party. The food was beyond delicious (especially because I hadn't eaten pasta, dairy, or sweets for months before arriving) and the wine was always fantastic (I think we depleted their stock;)). The farm area is set back from the buildings - about 5+ minutes walk following a path - and it was such a pleasure to greet the goats, chickens, pigs, and rabbits during a morning walk (also perfect if you have children with you). Mind you, if you're considering the Borgo as a wedding venue, it's quite reasonably priced - and it's an experience you will never forget. In fact, we would have easily spent double to host our guests back in NYC for 1/3 of the time (we were there three days). As you can tell, we're totally enchanted! In fact, our friends want to come back in a few years time to do it all again:)
