Awesome place, friendly staff, clean facilities, very relaxing atmosphere and very affordable

This spa is in a fantastic location, right by the woods, rocks and lake! It is really beautiful inside and out. The value for money is good. The price for the baths is comparable to other spas and even cheaper than some that aren't as great. The service is good as they have very pleasant staff. The cuisine is good, but overpriced. The ambience is a little inconvenient because they ask for complete silence instead of whispering. Whispering doesn't bother anyone, it still makes for a relaxing environment! I came to source Spa for the thermal experience -24 mins drive from st- calixste. Plenty of parking, but the walk up to admission was a hike on its own! The main desk was also where the bistro was located. I paid 57$ with tax for bath access. I got 2 towels with the price. The staff gave us a quick tour of the premise - 3 hot baths, 3 cold (including a pool with lake water) -steam room, sauna, several rest areas and get this a meditation site up in the trees with hammocks! The steam room was a tad on the thick side - I could barely breathe- but there was staff that came by often to check the temperature. The locker room was ok -qtips, cotton balls, body lotion, shampoo/conditioner and shower gel was available. I was annoyed by the amount of black flies there were! Kind of took away from the experience! But that being said It was a nice visit. Unfortunately, I could not take pictures due to spa policy! read more

What a great experience! To truly feel a genuine spa retreat one must leave Montreal and drive at least 45 minutes to get away from the crowds and we were very happy we did so. Located on the outskirts of Rawdon, you can easily find the spa retreat and find lots of available parking. Walking from the parking area up to the spa was a beautiful but vigorous task as the climb was noticeable but that view was so rewarding at the same time. The place is gorgeous, located pleasantly along the side of a mountain with splendid facilities and clean grounds. When we got there at 10 AM, we noticed no other patrons were there, at least, as far as we noticed. We were alone for the sauna experiences, the hot bath experiences as well as the resting experiences until noon. What a delight! We opted for some massages and they were great! The signature massage was relaxing and hit the spot, the masseuse was very competent. In fact, the staff was great. (maybe because we didn't talk! LOL) When we got out of our massages, there were finally some patrons but not near enough to be considered of note. It truly felt like a retreat. It's not cheap but it's certainly worth it. Nature in spring is beautiful with springs flowing around you from up the hill (with a nice path to walk and meditate!) and look forward to perhaps came back to experience it once again in the fall. read more

Facilities and grounds were gorgeous. The only reason why this review is getting three stars and not five is because the grounds staff were incredibly rude. As we were quietly whispering one staff member scolded us like we were school children and proceeded to stand over us for 5 mins thereafter; literally perching behind us. As he left, another staff member approached, told us to be quiet and we were not even talking. Based on their treatment, we are reluctant to go back again. We paid to relax and their treatment had the opposite effect. We are in our late thirties for goodness sakes, we do not need to be talked down and belittled by young hipsters with mustaches. read more

Fantastic nordic spa. Great in summer or winter. A treat. Most relaxing day.

This place was awesome, the only place I know of in North America where you can sit in hot pools outside and watch the snow. It was super peaceful. There were three hot pools and they recommended cycling between the hot pools, cold pools, and periods of rest. We had only good interactions with the staff-- they were sweet. They do ask that you limit full-voiced conversations to two dedicated conversation rooms, not a hard guideline to follow and totally understandable. Around dusk, the lights started to come on, illuminating the snow and the trees. My only gripe is that I think the hot pools should be hotter, like 42-44 C instead of 39 C.
