I thought they had raw seafood that you could buy for your own cooking since I wanted shrimp to put in my gumbo. That's not the case, as they cook the raw food that's on display. I was under the impression that they were also a seafood market. I ordered baked catfish that came with corn, potatoes, and broccoli. I got the cajun seasoning on it. Tasted great and the portions were nice. I must admit that I'm bigger on sauces than I am on rubs and dustings. Service was not bad. It did take time since there was a steady flow of customers. They cook to order. If ever I don't want to do my own seafood boil, I may return.

The ribs were really tender and there was a hint of spice in them, but not overbearing. We are unsure if they make their own barbecue sauce, but it was just as delicious. I spoke with one of the ladies there and she said on Saturdays, they will have more food aside from the pork belly, ribs, and chicken wings. All I can remember is brisket. I wish we were going back tomorrow just so we can try it. But, next time we are in Highland, we definitely will!

We called one day ahead to reserve our order, then day of we headed there for pickup. It's in a nice little strip mall area with plenty of parking. When we first walked in, I noticed it smelled a little like seafood, but like FRESH seafood. Some seafood shops can have a really strong fish smell but this smelled more like the sea than fishy. But they did have a ton of really awesome products! The owner was extremely helpful and grabbed our order from the back, showed us the lobsters, and then packed it up really nicely for us for the drive home, and to keep in the fridge for a few hours until dinner time. We also saw they had live mussels so we grabbed a bag of those too. I also picked up a Better Than Bullion in lobster base, I had never seen that in stores before! We also grabbed some hush puppies from their frozen section. The owner was super excited for us, for our first time cooking fresh lobster, hyped it up and him and the other lady employee were giving us some cooking tips! Everything turned out amazing,, the lobsters were delicious and every mussel was perfectly fresh. Just overall great place and great people!
