Carne Asada & al Pastor tacos

If you're looking for delicious street tacos and very spicy salsa, this is the food truck for you! I was honestly impressed. Having moved here I constantly say I miss the diversity in food the most. So, I try all the new places that pop up hoping for authentic tasting cultural food. So far, La Taqueria, MT has been amazing! The staff is courteous and accommodating. The food is hot and flavorful. Love their gear!! Who doesn't love a good sugar skull? The fact that they do run out quickly shows just how delicious and popular they are. Looking forward to trying more items on their menu.

Undisputed best Mexican street food in the Billings area. Nothing else even comes close.

Burnin the Bone to the rescue. In all fairness, though, they were doing this before the virus disrupted things. While I've never had a bad anything, the brisket sandwich is still my favorite. The roll is okay, but brisket is what makes it--- that I can order some brisket alone for a future get together or meal is even better. They do offer catering, after all. The breakfast items aren't a standout for me when compared with the lunch things. They're good, not stellar. Although I will say one day they had a "fire hog" burrito with egg and brisket...not sure if it was a lunch or breakfast item, but holy hell ... it had the fires of hell in every bite, between the jalapeño and Serrano pepper and the ghost chili sauce. That hell tasted damn good. Mostly serving from their spot in the Heights, Burnin the Bone occasionally sneaks out of that area and sets up elsewhere. It's a father and son team running the truck -- a family thing. His wife runs "burnin the bean coffee"'stand next door to where this truck is parked in the Heights location. Find this truck, try their food, support a small local business, and enjoy the food.

Still during their inaugural week, Maine Eats was a mixed experience…read more I came midway during the lunch run, only to learn they were out of clam chowder and out of lobster rolls. What? For real? Seriously? While I imagine the price of a lobster roll from Maine Eats is consistent with market pricing -- lobster isn't cheap -- I was both disappointed to have missed out, but somewhat glad I did miss out because it saved me some money as I looked for an alternate. I managed to overcame my disappointment with the Nor'easter. The bread was toasted wonderfully, the brie and granny smith apple slices were a perfectly balanced complement to the ham. Sure, it wasn't lobster, it wasn't even clam chowder, but it was still good. And, I walked away with a few dollars more than I thought I would. That's always a nice perk. Because Maine Eats is working through the rhythm of operating a food truck, it took a while to get orders out to the substantial line of people, but they did make it and were most apologetic for both the wait and for running out of the "main" items so early in the lunch run.

The service was great, and the lobster was plentiful so I can't complain about the price. But.. ice cold lobster pieces on a piece of grilled Texas Toast is not a lobster roll. You could call it cold lobster toast with butter, that would be accurate. I know taste is subjective, but this wasn't even close to what I expected.

If a Siberian food truck was here, it was true Siberian food. So we stopped. A wonderful woman and her mother run this little spot. We wanted to get a range of things from the menu so my husband got the Pelmeni, the jalapeño cheddar brat in a blanket, and a jam pirozhki. I got the cabbage pirozhki, a Hawaiian style brat in a blanket, and a jam pirozhki. I didn't get to try his jalapeño brat, which I feel speaks volumes. The only reason he let me eat the other half of his pelmeni was because I wasn't feeling good and he wanted me to have the broth. It was JUST the right amount of dill, and the beef was tender and delicious. I'm a fan of dill, and whether you're supposed to or not, I drank that broth. lol She gave me mustard for my Hawaiian brat, and it was SO GOOD. You could see the mozzarella oozing out of the brat. It had an amazing and cheesy flavor. The pastry dough surrounding it was indescribable. It was flaky and had a buttery taste, a crust on the outside, soft and yummy on the inside. The cabbage pirozhki had phenomenal flavor as well, and she gave me some hot sauce to pair it with. It honestly brought out all the flavors of the veggies, which I loved. I had to wait a bit for my jam pirozhki (let these cool, they're HOT!!!) and while messy, this was the perfect dessert to end my meal. We both agreed we'll stop again the next time we drive through. Simply delicious!!!

Fat Taco Food Truck to the rescue. What you won't do, is walk away from this one having to stop elsewhere to get more food. The portion size is generous and the food is good. I don't think it's good just because it gets me out of the house, either. It's all in the balance. The nachos, both with the pork and beef are filling and overloaded with toppings. Although the pork was slightly dry, the seasonings were still detectable. The shrimp tacos, with several decent size shrimp in each taco, also were done well. The shrimp were slightly overcooked; however, with the extra sauce and filling, it wasn't noticeable. It's tough getting everything exactly right when you can't eat it right away and that might well be why the meat on the nachos and the shrimp missed the mark. But on the tacos: They are hard to eat because the insides keep falling out -- they're that stuffed. Don't eat them in the car. The quesadillas? Oh wow. I can go on about these for a while, but just know that they will always be my go-to from this truck. Nice people, tasty food, consistently done. I look forward to trying them again when getting the food and driving back to the social distancing abode isn't a mandate.
