Love the new look from their recent remodel! They have tons more seating and seating areas...and a really nice patio. They went all out in the renovations and it shows! It's pretty noisy, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to that or if you want an intimate meal. I read the reviews about the service being bad or slow, but we've eaten here many times over the years and have always had great service. The salsa is soooo yummy and I tried the top shelf margarita and it was very good. I ordered the shrimp ceviche, which comes as an entree. It's beautiful, fresh and delicious! I lead out a dinner drive to this place last month with 20 people in their little British cars. We gave them 3 day notice of our intent. They were ready for us when we arrived with long table to accommodate all of us. Meals were great. And no problems dealing with a large group. The fact they had plenty of parking for us was also a plus. Highly recommend La Tequila for largerp groups like this. read more

I had picked Patio 2900 at Boat Town for lunch on Memorial Day weekend. Wrong! The wait was way too long. We ended up at LTJ. They weren't busy and we were seated on the patio. Great choice, the food was excellent. I picked the Pescado Empapelado, fish and shrimp covered in veggies and cheese. It was so good! Glenda had the chicken fajita quesadilla. It was huge and she managed to finish half! Chips were ok but the salsa was great. There is a good view of the Colorado river from the patio. Excellent lunch! read more

It depends on what you ordegottenve gotten soft tacos and they've been fantastic, then I've also gotten the soft tacos and they are on the bland side. Modernized sterile slate walls and a huge one-note depressing dining room with no character or experience that will be sure to remind you of your dentists office. We spent $36 on agua Fresca that was not sweet, cold and bland flautas, two stale cold tortillas, and a bland appetizer. Our waitress checked on us only once. We needed salt, napkins, new fresh tortillas and pre-bussing would have been nice. We didn't get any of that because we never got the opportunity to ask. Waitress began cleaning as soon as the check was paid. The food was photo worthy but after tasting, we agreed it was absolutely disappointing and will not be adding photos to deceive future guests. read more

Really expected better quality than what was delivered. Service was attentive but entrees less than par. I ordered the chicken verde enchiladas and sour cream enchiladas. The verde sauce had no tomatillo taste and was over seasoned with Mexican oregano. The chicken within was seasoned with chili powder and/or paprika making the entire experience chalked full of misc seasoning. The corn tortillas was on the mushy. The sour cream enchiladas really on the bland side. Given 3 enchiladas, there was good value for the price. The Spanish rice and refried beans tasted cheap and canned. The complimentary chips were not fresh at all which was a huge disappointment. The salsa was good. For the drinks, I ordered a top shelf margarita and Paloma. While taste was good, there was just too much ice and not enough liquid. I recommend moving on to another restaurant if seeking quality Tex-Mex and top shelf drinks. read more

A great improvement on chips and salsa. More flavor with a little amount of heat. Parking is a little difficult if you don't get there early, parking lot is not that large. But the venue is nice right next to the lake. I must say every aspect seems to be a great improvement from the last time we were here. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor of the food. Everyone in our party enjoyed what they got. My daughter got street tacos as did my wife, opting away from Fajitas due to the last experience we had here. I got the plato Texas, which is carne guisada with two cheese enchiladas, beans, rice and yes, homemade flour tortillas which were very good. Everything we got was flavorful and tasted great. The service was great, our chips is salsa was refilled before we ran out. All in all this was a great experience and a 100% upgrade from before. I don't know if anyone there read my review but everything I said that was bad was changed. Will definitely be coming back here. Great turn around. read more

The new look is great, the food has improved but the service is disappointing. Everyone is nice but since the reopen my family and I have gone twice. The first visit late on Thursday only a few other customers, very long wait times to just get drinks. Food was good but very slow service for not being busy. 2nd visit 7pm on a Thursday again, more customers but nowhere near half full. They brought us chips and salsa pretty quick but after 12 min the chips and salsa was gone and still no one taking drink orders, my kids were over it so we left and went to subway. ‍ I guess we just need to plan for waiting. read more

We like the folks and service at La Tequila Jalisco. The menu is extensive but you have to know what to order. Their Al pastor and Asada is pretty decent. And love their grandes tacos (5 mini street tacos). Have enjoyed their fajita chicken quesadillas-lots if cheese and meet. They tend to give you a lot of food for your money. And everyone is so pleasant and accommodating. It is out "go to" when we want a big beer (iced glasses) and tacos. read more

My wife and I stop here about once a week. A really excellent, local joint from a small, local chain. Great good, excellent service, terrific margaritas. We usually get the combo fajitas for two, but we easily get four meals out of it. We have a large margarita on the rocks, and they NEVER disappoint. The Chimichangas are pretty good as well.
