After reading so many positive reviews about this place, I decided I should definitely go here. It was a birthday pedicure and manicure I had longed after for many months (hey, money's tight) and my dad was treating me. The place is fairly quiet. As for all of the reviews that praise the women and men that work there for not speaking in their native language, that's racist. I don't care what language they speak or if they want to talk to one another, I'm here to have my nails done. So long as they do a good service, I could care less if they speak to each other via bull horn and light sparklers. They did however not converse that much amongst each other and spoke very quietly to one another when they did. I guess the effects of offering services to a select group of those with #firstworldproblems The employees are amazing, down to earth and good to laugh with. We closed the place and they were especially understanding. Incredibly professional and the entire team worked very hard to keep the place clean and refreshed. We were offered a menu for drinks and they even let my dad sit beside me in a vacant pedicure recliner, offered him a drink and put a warmed neck pillow over his neck as he waited for my services to be finished. They even convinced my dad to get a pedicure himself and laughed and cut up with him. I got an incredible french manicure while I drank a mimosa and the most delectable pedicure know to man or woman. Both women were INCREDIBLY meticulous and professional at their jobs. The attention to detail and professionalism was astounding. Hands down the very best experience I have EVER had at a nail salon. WORST FILL FOR ACRYLIC IVE EVER HAD DONE! DO NOT GO HERE! Needed a pink and white fill... Picked this place based on Yelp reviews. Called ahead just in case, but place was nearly empty at 5pm (should have been the first sign to leave!) The girl (who sits in the very front next to the door) listened to exactly what I wanted... Short, square, pink and white fill with big whites so my nails appear longer than they are. She proceeded as requested, but filed then down so much, you could see my natural nails under the white tips and was burning me with the hand drill/sander. I pointed out to her how thin they were m, so she added more on top, making them loop lumpy and even worse. I again pointed out how terrible they looked an she insisted I wait until she was done with top coat. Well, I now have horrible looking, lumpy, crooked white tipped, half square and other half round nails! HORRIBLE! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO LOOK EVEN SLIGHTLY PRESENTABLE! Charged me $35 for this horrific mess! So embarrassed and such a waste of time... Now to go to another salon and get them redone! read more

I love the quality of everything--from the way they treated me, took care to do a really good job, no wait time, and very polite. Their office space is probably the nicest I've been to as well. Amazing service! Beautiful, clean, relaxing space. All-around great experience. The staff are all friendly and do a thorough and professional job for every service. I find myself going in for polish changes in between refills because it's always worth it to have a little extra pampering, with a new color (also, their manicures and full sets last That long - that you'll be ready for a color change before it's necessary). The music is a relaxing but vibrant, unique mix of easy listening, classical, and beautiful Italian ballads. The massage part of the pedicures is longer than any place I've gone to before. It starts with a massage with an exfoliant (lots of choices on display: I like the different aroma therapy ones - like energizing, or calming) and then a massage with lotion. They start each service by offering a warm, comfy neck wrap and a nice selection of drinks (I like to feel fancy and opt for the champagne). They use hot towels on hands and legs as a nice finishing touch that leaves you feeling clean and relaxed. I was tired of the rushed, grimey, dated salons and the over priced salons with long waits and price gouging that I had been to upon moving to the nasa/clear lake area. I have always gone to La Tique Nails since it opened. I have been a loyal customer. Recently, with Michelle gone, the service has been really bad. I dont know where Michelle is or if she is even coming back, but I wont. Twice I have gone and waited over an hour and a half to get my nails done. The last time I waited and waited in a chair. Lina looked after everyone but me. I had an appointment at 1:00. Yes, I was 5 minutes late but I called in to tell her. I waited in a chair and waited and waited finally I asked when will I expect my nails to be done and she said "in 5 minutes." It was going on 2:00....I waited and waited. Finally, at 2:15 out of nowhere a man walks in and sits down and starts to do my nails. I dont think I'll be back. If they treat loyal customers like that, I'll take my business elsewhere. I'm not one to write bad reviews I even feel badly doing this but they need to get organized over there it was a beautiful shop. read more

I had read all the good and bad reviews any place that before i go there and i see some non-sense of reviews of this nails salon which is not good BUT i still want to try it out so I CAME here. All i can say is " YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET". I love it. The service was awesome, the atmosphere was peaful, the satff was -so sweet and spoiled me. The owner/ manager was so polite and sweet. I def will come back. Ps: I feel sorry for those didnt get the right treated or felt like that. But i think if you want people respect you then you should respect them 1st. (Updated 7/2/14) I have to amend my old five star review and reduce it to three.. The service here has gone down in the last few months. I'm not sure what happened but there are a few new staff members and they are not as good as the folks that used to work here. My last pedicure HURT and it got awkward because I kept trying to tell the man what he was doing was hurting, but I don't think he could understand. Finally the lady getting a pedicure next to me helped by telling the lady she was working with who translated and thankfully the pain ended. But by this point my toes was bleeding so it was too late. They also have stopped offering a drink when you arrive, but they will bring you something if you ask. Basically the quality and small touches that previously made this my go-to place have been lost and I'm sad. (Old review) This is by far the best nail place in Clear Lake! With a pedicure you get a hot neck wrap and your choice of drink which includes hot flavored tea, sodas or wine!! The staff is amazing, it's very clean and there is a large selection of colors. If you are looking for a fab nail salon don't hesitate, this is the place. They will also give you the internet code if you ask. They only accept cash tips so beware. read more

Service here is stellar. There is almost never a wait, unless you come on a Friday or Saturday, and then the wait is usually brief. You get to choose your favorite scented scrub. Your choice of drinks, including wine. Wide selection of nail polish colors available. Very clean, very well-decorated, nice music, and everyone is super nice. These are the reasons I have kept coming back. And sometimes my nails come out perfect and look nice for a week or two. But my past couple of visits were no better than the cheap salons in the area. No soak before jabbing at my cuticles and chopping at them. And no letting the polish dry for even a minute between coats. I went home with gloppy paint over cuticles and I end up having to re-do it at home myself the next day. read more

I came in here with my friend who is white and I'm Mexican. As soon as we sat down to get pedicures I was ignored I was the first up to get pedicure but the manager told her not to do me first to do my friend. After that every other worker just ignored me and I was soaking in the water for 30 minutes until my friend said something. As to why I was being ignored. I'm pretty sure they thought my friend had all the money when In reality I'm the one that paid for both our nails and pedicures. This place was really racist and never again will I come here. I've been going to La Tique for years. I've seen 3 different owners. I've been dissatisfied with the pedicures since the new owner. My pedicure used to take a while to complete because they would massage your legs and feet for a good long while. I timed it this last time and it was 3 minutes on leg/foot and 4 in the other. The real kicker was I had an appointment and a customer walked in and the owner who was doing my nails stopped doing mine and did her from beginning to end before coming back to me. Then she took FaceTime calls from her children. Rude in my opinion. I miss the old days. read more

Think this may be my new nail place. Clean, quiet, complimentary drinks, and they even have wine. Quick service, didn't have to wait forever even though they were full. The young man that did my nails was very good, gentle, no injuries! LOL but his technique could use a little improvement. Not best set I've ever gotten but still really good and beautiful. Beware: there is nothing in the salon showing prices: I went there yesterday with my 10 year old daughter we both got pedicures and she got a manicure. My pedicure did include the paraffin wax but not hers. Well it was a regular nothing spectacular pedicure I went to pay $124.00. WHAT. For 2 pedicures and one little girls manicure. All I can think is that they charged me $5.00 for each design she got. Which was 2 on each hand and 2 on the big toe. Which would have been $20.00 for designs. But even then I can't see why both pedicures would have been almost $50.00 each. I didn't go to my regular salon because it's nicer and figured it would be higher but I guess I should have. I recently started working in the area and this place was recommended by a coworker. The place was nice enough and the lady did a fine job taking off my shellac and then I got a regular manicure with no polish. I was there maybe 25 min but again okay job but I didn't ask for polish or anything. My total for a regular manicure was $22.00 plus another $5.00 for shellac removal. I guess I have always just paid no more than 15.00 at my normal place for a regular manicure with alcohol offered so I was shocked. I will not be returning. Not that special. read more

The staff gives excellent pedi and mani and I have always left very happy with the service that I have received. This is by far the very best salon EVER! I am extremely cautious about cleanliness, environment, and overall ambience. They succeed on all levels. It reminds me of a full service high end spa. It is quiet and relaxing, refreshments are available, and the staff is very caring and attentive. True, pricing is higher than at some of the salons in the area. But, one gets what they pay for. I visited off the recommendation of a neighbor who sang high praises of the attention to detail and overall ambience of the salon. The nail technician who assisted me didn't speak English and was quite abrasive with her child cuticle scissors. I still gave it a chance and finished my pedicure. The lighting is kind of dim and I didn't notice until out in the daylight how terrible of a paint job she had given me. I went back inside and told them I didn't have time to redo the paint job, so they offered to fix it the next day. I came back the next day and the same lady tried to repaint. Thankfully, Cindy stepped in took care of it for her. She is very sweet and did an excellent job. I don't live in Nassau Bay so I'm not sure I will give it another try. read more

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I have been struggling to try and find a nail salon that I enjoy going to and that do an great job and I will never go to any place other than La Tique. The customer service is nothing like I have ever seen at a nail salon, the store closed at 7 and because of work I walked in about 6:50 and Kyle ( she is BEYOND AMAZING) stayed for a over 1 hour after the closing time to do my nails without rushing... she took her time and was a perfectionist... which I very much appreciated especially when she was there so much past closing. Kyle was very friendly, she kept me laughing the whole time, and was a perfectionist. I 100% recommend La Tique and 100% recommend Kyle. Love this place. read more
