I've been coming here for a while and have gone to multiple different people and have always had a really great experience. Today I had Yulisa for the first time and I can truly say these are the best nails I have ever gotten here!! she was extremely gentle and was very detailed and precise, and it did not feel like she was rushing, which I have experienced before. She also kept making sure that I was happy with my nails before continuing which none of the other staff have done. The cashier was impolite towards me, blaming me for taking 6 minutes to pick a color and singling me out in front of other customer that I was to blame for their 30 min wait, when in reality the manicurist was slow (and she always is). They overbook and are short of staff. He was not customer service oriented at all, the cashier needs to be retrained. You never blame a customer in front of other customers. Horrible. I had a horribke experience at La vallee And don't recommend this place to anyone. The staff is non friendly. i had a manicurist named nina. She was extremely rude. I don't know why she works there. She didn't want to help me with one thing. I asked can you please cut my nails and she said it will be $5 more to cut and file your nails. With a nasty attitude. I also asked can you cut my cuticles she said the same thing. I then showed her what design I was looking to get and asked her for help finding the color. She told me "I don't know, you have to do it yourself. You should know before you walk in what you want" I was trying to look for the color but couldn't find it. I also asked her about chrome. She said what color ? I said I'm not sure can you show me what they look like..she said no there are no samples. Basically she was extremely rude the entire manicure. Not helpful at all. I have been a customer for the past seven years. The girl I had been seeing was great and very meticulous. She usually takes excellent care and gives great manicures and pedicures. I can go for weeks, and my nails stay in great shape and don't chip. Last week I had my nails done, and at the end of my session, I was told that my manicurist would not be doing my nails anymore and that, from now on, I had to choose a different nail tech. At first, I thought my girl was leaving. Long story short, I was told that my girl takes too long to do my nails and the salon technically can't "afford" it. LOL. They said I was demanding meticulous work, which takes too long. First, I never asked for anything extra; I only came for gel mani and pedi. Second, I am a paying customer, who pays over $100 every few weeks for nails, which is a lot of money, and for that, I expect good service. The salon gives their nail techs unrealistic time budgets to get manicures and pedicures done. Poor girls rush to serve their customers because of unrealistic budgets. The girls often have back-to-back clients without breaks. This is my opinion from going to the salon for seven years. Also, all the bed reviews are from customers who had rush jobs done by their ail techs. When my girl spent 2 hours on my manicure and pedicure, taking her time to ensure all the layers of nail polish were adequately applied and dried, nail polish never chips. Unfortunately, the last time I was there, the job was rushed and sloppy because I only had 1.5 hours, and my tech had to rush a bit. Four days later, my gel pedicure started chipping. See the picture for yourself. I was sad saying goodbye to my girl. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back to the salon. They won't have me as a client if they tell me I can't choose a nail tech who does my nails. Too bad, they were like a family to me. They need to improve their customer service skills, as they have no clue what they are doing there. The inside was very fancy and upscale with big comfy chairs, pillows, and modern decor. I couldn't pick a color because I'm indecisive. My kind nail specialist recommended mixing 2 colors that I was stuck between. The color was exactly what I wanted! They took off my previous gel without any electric file or scraping. I was sorely disappointed in the customer service I experienced at a high-end nail salon; after making an appointment the day prior for a gel fill-in and gel pedicure, I arrived for my 6:30pm appointment, expecting to receive the services I had scheduled. After I finished my pedicure, I was told there wasn't a nail technician available to do my gel fill-in, since it was "time to go". After I complained, a nail technician came over and told me she would take my polish off, and prepare them for another nail technician. I will start by saying this salon is clean and beautiful! Unfortunately, this is the only positive thing I can say. I walked in with healthy, long, and strong natural nails and asked for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. My pedicure chipped a little the very next day but it wasn't worth going back for the repair. My bigger problem was my manicure. I have long and wide nail beds. My nail technician must have found my nails to be too wide because she clipped the SIDES of my nails with a nail clipper instead of simply filing. There was no reason to do this since I asked for square nails, not coffin nails. Days later when the nails grew out, each of my nails looked like a head and shoulders. You could easily see the natural width versus the new width of my nails. It was such a big difference that it looked terrible and could not be corrected by simply filing the new growth. All of my natural nails were weakened and they began breaking in less than a week! When I returned two weeks later, I used the same nail tech and showed her the damage she did. BIG MISTAKE! I had 4 nails that needed to be repaired. They were breaking but not broken off. She consulted with two other techs to find out how to glue them securely. The fact that she didn't know how to fix them was a HUGE red flag. She put a super thin coat of pink hard gel on all of the breaks and assured me it would hold. The first two broke within 2 hours. The next two broke the next day. I went back to have them repaired and the same tech said she would put a thicker coat of hard gel and it would hold. I didn't trust that plan at all and decided to cut my loses! I told her to cut all of the broken nails and put tips on them. She clearly did not want to do this and I immediately found out why. First, she couldn't get the tips to stick to my nails. So she got supplies and instructions from another tech on how to make them stick. One tip had a very large air bubble under it. Clearly it didn't adhere well, but again she assured me it would stay. After she put gel over top of them, all on the tips were extremely lopsided and lumpy. Thick at the cuticle and free edge, thin at the middle. None of them were smooth! They were not shaped the same as my natural nails so you could tell they were obviously tips. I had to keep showing her edges that needed to be filed. Clumps of gel were left under the nails. It was a real disaster! I bet you can guess how this ended up! You guessed it! They broke off VERY quickly! The nail with the bubble under it came off 2 days later. Another tip and polish peeled off like a sticker 4 days later. I will NEVER go back. The tech was clearly new to her trade so I won't list her name and embarrass her, but I will say she needs more training because she lost a customer for you and earned you a terrible review! read more

Both my manicurist and the manager were very unprofessional and rude. After being a bi-weekly customer for a year, I had a bad manicure probably due to old polish. I called the Salon and was told to please come in and it would be taken care of. After I picked out a color, the manicurist promptly told me that she would have to charge me. I was dumbfounded! There was a total lack of courtesy and 0 respect from the manager. So much for appreciation to a loyal & regular customer. I will never go there again. The first time I went here I had no problems. The second time however I went to get a new gel tip set. Literally the day after my nail fell off. I went back so angry because I spent 40$ for a full set and my nail broke instantly. Then a week later the same nail broke again. Also when I was putting things in my backpack my whole tip fell off and separated from the nail polish completely which is something I've never seen before. Horrible experience. Toes were painted just fine but did not receive a mini massage. I asked when they stopped giving massages when checking out to which she said that they still do. (Haven't been since covid so thought maybe they changed procedures even though the 3 other people around me got a massage) needless to say she called the technician over and asked if she massaged the cream at all. To which the technician said yes. I tried to explain by looking at the globs of cream on my legs that if the technician had given a massage then why would I have globs of cream on my legs. I came here with high expectations and I ended up with one of the worst arm waxes and gel manicures that I ever experienced. The woman who did my manicure and wax did not know what she was doing. She left so much hair on my arm after telling her multiple times to wax it. she was also extremely slow and when I asked her to use bigger strips of wax sheets she didn't. The gel manicure was worse, after aggressively picking my cuticles she made me bleed. She got nail polish all over my finger and overall didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. Went in for a pedicure & it ended awfully. The pedicurist took it upon herself to try and take out my ingrown toenails. I get my ingrown toe nails removed by a podiatrist when they both me and it was not hurting at the time. When she started digging I was telling her how much pain I was in and to stop yet she continued. She then cut it out and placed it on my leg to show me. A few days later my left big toe was all red in pain and sore to touch. As continued pain I went to a podiatrist who had to remove part of my nail and clean out puss that this pedicurist caused. Have been getting dip for years at another nail salon and never had a problem with them coming off or breaking. I could go as long as 3-4 weeks sometimes and no issues. This is my first time trying La Vallee and within 4 hours of me leaving 1 nail broke off. I went back and they fixed it no problem. The next day, another one came off.
