I was driving on Rt. 35, I realized I needed my nails done and unexpectedly stopped in when I saw the sign for the shop. It was a pleasant surprise! Mercedes did a beautiful job on my nails efficiently and perfectly. I left my former salon after a year because every time I was there, someone would try to upsell me on a new polish or service. Please be warned!!!!! This business is extremely unprofessional and they provide poor service to their customers as well as the craft they are supposedly trained to do. I was recommended by a friend who is a regular at Luxury Nails Salon. I visited the salon along with her daughter on Tuesday, December 19, 2018. I was serviced by one of the owners named Kevin and I got a gel manicure. It is quite apparent that they mix their polish with something that changes the consistency and performance that a gel polish is designed to do. Less then 24 hours later the polish began to chip, it was clumpy and unable to stay on my nails. I woke up the following morning with one nail that had no polish at all and the rest of the nails chipped and ready to peel off. Keep in mind that this was supposed to be a gel polish! Before leaving town the next morning I returned to speak to Kevin and he was off that day. I was addressed by a woman sitting at table #5 so I walked over to show her my nails and request to have them redone when I returned as I was on my way out of town. She immediately stated that she could not accommodate me because the owner wasn't there and she could not call, make a decision like that or reach the owner. She further stated that they were to busy with other customers to redo them at that time. I again requested that she call the owner so I can explain my issue in hopes that it could be professionally resolved. She then stated again that she couldn't contact the owner and that if I couldn't wait over 30 to 40 mins to have the one finger repainted when they all were chipped and peeling off that she couldn't help me. My friend that recommended Luxury Nail Salon immediately came into speak with them and to my dismay she informed me that the woman seated at table #5 who I was speaking with the whole time was in fact the co-owner which is Kevin's wife. I have never been treated so poorly at a business which resulted in me having to document and file a police report in the event that something else went wrong because quite frankly at this point I don't trust their practices. This was by far the poorest and lowest quality gel manicure I have ever wasted money on. Not only did the woman doing my nails cut me twice, she failed to shape my nails or fix the excess polish on my skin even after I politely asked. On top of the piss poor manicure, two of the employees got into an all out screaming match in which it took the manager a good two minutes to intervene and Ream them both out. What a joke of an establishment. Never ever waste your time or money coming here! Wish I argued and didn't even pay for this mess, but just wanted to get out of there! read more

I had an appointment last Thursday with Eric..who is great..but when I showed up he said I wasn't on schedule. It wa a mistake on their part. He said your appt is next Thursday. I was not happy. I called today to vontirm my appointment for tomorrow and the owner said Eric took me off schedule. I asked why I wasn't told...and owner said well you were upset last week and he thought you wouldn't show up so he scheduled someone else. First of all last week you messed up schedule and then you cancel the apps you said I had. Too bad really bc Eric is great although half the time he's on the phone. This is my second time going here and each time i had a bad experience. I like my nails square but skinny so that just means shaving down the sides a little more and every time i ask for that they give me coffin nails which i hate! I also like long nails and each time i've gotten them done here the broke within a day, i always feel like they're rushing to do their job too. read more

Don't think 5 stars are enough for this nail spa. Moved back to the Shore area and I found it very difficult to find a nail salon that knows what they are doing. Love the hot stone pedicures and of course who can get there nails done without that glass of champagne. Taffy and Kevin are amazing and her staff is just as wonderful. I came here yesterday for a manicure and pedicure, and have only been here once before many years ago. The name of the woman who did my nails is Happy. I need to preface by saying I give myself proper manicures and pedicures every two weeks or so at home, so my nails are in very good condition. To start, during my pedicure I specifically asked her not to use the nail clippers to shorten my nails and only to file, but she kept pointing with the clippers trying to convince me otherwise, and so I caved and said to go for it because I felt awkward. She was very rough when it came to trimming, and literally yanked out the side of my nail claiming it was a "hangnail" (i did NOT have a hangnail) my toe immediately started to hurt. As for the customary "pedicure massage", she literally rubbed lotion on my legs. No pressure whatsoever. No rubbing of the feet Then we move on to my manicure - i'm 98% sure she is still wearing the glove she wore for my pedicure She was WAY TOO ROUGH with my nails, filed them FAR shorter than I requested, and nearly stabbed me with the cleaning tip underneath my nail. To top this all off - she called me "big" twice referencing my weight not my height ‍ She was trying to be sweet, but this was not a safe way to perform these services. One more thing - after finishing my mani and pedi with the same glove, SHE BEGAN TO EAT HER LUNCH WHILE STILL WEARING THE GLOVE I just woke up and my toe is sore, so now i'm worried i'm going to get an infection. I will NOT be returning NOR will I recommend this to anyone. I will say, though, there were two female workers that seemed to have very good rapport with the clients they were working with, which leads me to believe they may have more skilled technique. I can't speak to that, but their clients seemed quite happy. Anyway, if you absolutely have to go here in a pinch, DO NOT HAVE HAPPY. read more

My mom loves this place and suggested we go here. Got a gel nails and regular pedicure. Excellent customer service, which contributes to a classier and professional establishment. Full set of IBD pink and CND white gel nails $65. They have LCN gels, but the male manager said LCN is better for natural nail look. I wanted a pinker look so I went with the less expensive gels and they came out great! Pedicure was good but my right toes chipped. They did not give a problem or attitude to get fixed the next morning. Place is well ventilated. They use disposable liners for the foot tubs, which means more hygienic pedicures. Another woman got the callus remover, which seemed to done appropriately. Staff seem to be content working there. Definitely will go back! read more

I wanted just a pedicure. I wasn't impressed. It started with being scalded with hot water for the foot bath. The tech did not seem to know what he was doing. Before he started using a pumice stone he quickly informed me that to use meant 5 dollars extra. Seeing as that's why most folks get a pedicure is to have their feet rough spots soften, it doesn't leave you much choice but to get it. The "massage" was two hot rocks he rubbed half heartedly on my legs for ten seconds. Not even a foot rub. The drying station for nails does not work at all. They pretend it does. No air is running. Extremely rude. They talk about you while you're sitting there. They charge each person a different price. She made up some story why she charged me and someone else differently. She totally rushed through me and did a horrible job, and then half way done had someone else finish so she could take someone else, despite me having an appointment. I will never return. read more

Was a long time customer of Kevin's. Apparently the spa is under new management. Have been there twice since the new owner took over. Not at all happy with my nails. The new owner did my nails this last time and I left there bleeding. She cut my finger so bad that it took over a week to heal. Happy also did my nails and I was not happy with how she did them either. She barely spoke to me and when she did it was just to get me to buy other services. The new owner is not that friendly either. I will not be going back. read more

Came here near closing for a quick gel polish color change. They fit me in, and it was one of the greatest polish applications I got in a while! They have a ton of colors to choose from, so no worries about picking the same color choice. The owner, Taffy, is extremely sweet and accommodating and the girl who did my nails, Felisa, was the best! I'm only giving 4/5 stars because I only got a polish change and not a full manicure; but I will be back! read more

Luxury Spa should change their name because they do not provide luxury service. Long story short I waited 7 min before any acknowledge me or said they would be right with me after they told me which chair to sit in. The gentleman doing my nails asked if I wanted them shorter I said no but he started to make them shorter anyway. He also changed the shape of my nails. And to top it all off when he was polishing my nails he didn't polish the entire nail. I still saw tip on the left side. When I brought this to his attention he said ok and keep moving so I brought it to his attention again and then he caught an attitude and had the nerve to try to snap on me. I didn't understand a word he was saying but in my mind I though NO TIP for him. After that he did an AWFUL job finishing up polishing my nails. I will never came back here again. Especially for a horribly $17 fill in when it's $13/14 in Chicago. read more
