Yomi is outstanding manicurist! Super nice and friendly! Nails lasted a long time. Excellent spa pedicure and great waxing!

I went to this Salon for mani/pedi (standard) nothing crazy, no gels, no art design... Yomi is highly recommended, my first appointment the first thing I thought was wow her station is so gross, dirty full of powders prob from the drills they use. It was gross, but I figured maybr she cleans up at the end of her shift, no that's not the case, every other time I went it was always the same disgusting, where her fan would be blowing all that crap on my polish. What's more bothersome is if I could see it, how she didn't and continued polishing. "Everytime" Along with blowing through my nails, rushing so she can move on to the next customer "they work on commission. Finally I gave up and said no more! So instead of finding someone else in that salon, I mean why would I? Clearly the owners don't pay attention to the cleanliness of their salon. It's all about the money ONLY.... However my daughter continued going, she was getting gels done by Yomi, I told her everytime your nails look awful, it's not pretty your gel is way to thick, bumpy, wider than your natural nail bed!!! Just disgusting! And was being charged 80.00 are you F..... kidding me!! For a shit nail job everytime!!! She was getting a pedicure told them what she wanted polish wise, it wasn't what she wanted and they were trying to convince her it was but it wasn't!!!! Did I mention the nail fungus my daughter got on one of her nails!!!! How dare you people!!! Yomi felt I was picky, well when I'm paying my money and tipping you generously your damn right I'm picky!! Along with the workers conspiring against one another to take clients. Shame on everyone there and the owners for allowing and running their business the way they do. Run people, run! Find a better salon. I most certainly did right down the road from them!! I'm generally the type to give second (and third, and fourth) chances, which is why I've been back here a few times. But I've finally accepted that it's not worth it... to have my nails *ruined* by excessive filing for a gel manicure... to have my cuticles cut and damaged by careless and messy work... Most disappointing is the unorganized staff, who seems genuinely uninterested in giving you a positive experience. They aren't even rude, they just don't seem to care at all. I've watched as polish was sloppily put onto my nails, pointed out the fact that there were bubbles on almost every nail, and been told "it's fine." I don't want an aggressive shoulder massage at the end of an already bad experience, I was only hoping for a decent manicure that I didn't have to do for myself. The final straw was a disastrous recent attempt at a pedicure. After a 10-15 minute wait, I finally got into a chair... I had an appointment and there were more staff members there than customers, so I have no idea what the issue was. The pedicure started with one man, and then another weirdly took over after about 5 minutes. Their combined attempts at "cutting" and "filing" left me with uneven, jagged nails; it ended with the worst paint job I've ever gotten. They completely missed when trying to shove a bag of paraffin wax onto one heel and my shoe/foot had to be cleared of the wax that went everywhere. The soundtrack to this chaos was a "love song" station blasting on the radio, audio cutting in and out the entire time. My point is this: I could have lit $30 on fire and asked my 3-year-old niece to paint my toenails and the outcome would be the same. Except in that scenario, I'd be hanging out with my rad niece and my expectations for her nail tech skills are already low. read more

From out of town & my friend suggested this place, I was always hesitant bc it kinda looks run down from the outside, but the inside is gorgeous & huge! I got there early for my gel manicure, so they sat me at the bar where I my current gel got soaked, it saved so much time. Yumi was incredibly sweet! She paid great attention to detail, explaining what shape I should look to for, & suggested acrylic for one broken nail so it would be even. She was very involved & made me feel super comfortable. The manicurist was very nice, but this was honestly the worst manicure I've ever gotten. I've been doing gel polish for years. This was my first time doing it at Beyond and I'll probably never go back. The bottoms and edges are very messy and there are uneven bumps of polish all over my nails. They also filed my nails slanted and half of them are diagonal on top. Two of my nails were coming off on my other hand while I was still there so they fixed them, but the fix ended up being worse. Those nails have streaks in them now and bumps/little threads stuck in the polish that are very visible. Very disappointed, have to go get another manicure now somewhere else. read more

This place is huge. Very accommodating for large parties. I felt it was ridiculous that they charged more for different types of normal nail polish. I've tried them all. The extra shine. I went in for a haircut and it was not the best experience but wasn't horrible. I went in asking for layers and curtain bangs. He cut some of my hair one length then the rest maybe an inch shorter and It doesn't look blended together. With my bangs he just trimmed it so it looked nothing like what I wanted. At that point I wanted to just leave so I didn't say anything. Overall I was in and out in maybe 10 minutes so I was surprised because my boyfriends hair cut took him 15 minutes at a supercut down the street and he was just getting a trim too. Also doesn't look like they clean or sanitize any of their tools. Like other posters, my complaint fell on deaf ears after being burned by hot water that made me jump out of the chair. The front desk person is nice, but the staff is downright miserable, unfriendly and doesn't understand understand English well enough. I never even got an apology after being burned. She was so rough I flinched a few times when she was pushing back my cuticles. As you can see on my one day old photo, the nail shape is nice but I still need my cuticles cut. When mentioning the dead skin still left on my feet she told me to go home and put lotion on them. I won't be returning. read more

Jerry did an amazing job on my dip manicure to bring me into the new year! The best part about my visit today was the lavender spa pedicure he did right before my manicure! Jerry made sure that I was relaxed and comfortable and the massage on my legs was EVERYTHING!!!! It's safe to say I now need a spa pedicure once a month! My complaint is this is the second time my gel manicure has chipped in less than a week. I promise you. This is the worst nail salon that you could possibly go to in the area. I'm not even going to get into a play by play of the nightmare that was my appointment. Long story short VERY RUDE STAFF and shitty services with cheap products. "Ashley" was a raging bitch who gave me a massage by basically punching me in the back like she was pissed at me and then snatched the tip out of my hand at the end. Oh and she tried to scratch a bruise off my toenail repeatedly even after I kept saying that I dropped something on my toe and it's a bruise and NOT COLOR. Bruh. BOTTOM LINE: Their mani/pedis are great. Very clean, timed massage (so you don't get ripped off), and clean out of the package tools every time. The atmosphere is great. HOWEVER, if you have acrylics, stay very very far away from this place!! (Read below) I used to swear by this place and rave about it to all my friends. It was always my go-to nail place as it was clean and they had a great selection of colors, and my nails were usually done very well. Today I went there and had Jerry as my nail tech. He rushed through my nails, and he did a terrible job. He left a piece of hair (fuzz?) on my nail and proceeded to paint over it, did not paint the ends of my nails (I have acrylics), so it looked like they were already chipped, and payed so little attention that my nails all look lumpy! None of them are smooth at all! I asked him to fix the issues and he made my nails worse by doing so. I'm actually disgusted. In the future, it seems more worth it to stick to the bargain place. UPDATE: Soon after writing this, the receptionist there contacted me and invited me back in to get my nails fixed. One of the owners, Trey, personally redid my nails. However, I'm still really not impressed. The shape is awesome, but maybe the polish they use is cheap. It looks like there is only one coat on my nails (there isn't) so it looks very blotchy and very thin in many places. Got a set of acrylics done. Not even a few days later my one nail snapped in half (out of nowhere.) Went back and paid $5 to get it fixed for her to just glue a new nail attached to the broken one that started to come undone a few days later. Not too long after I got the first one fixed, another one snapped in half. Went back and again complained and they fixed both nails for free. Now, yet ANOTHER nail has snapped and it has only been a week and a half since I have gotten the set done. Not even worth it to go and complain again. I was looking for a quick place to get a manicure and this place fit the bill! I loved the concept of the nail bar and the salon gave a very upscale feel. My appointment was very quick (which I loved! Let me continue on with my errands for the day) and my nails were FABULOUS I could not stop looking at them afterwards. The reason for only 3 stars is that after 4-5 days the entire manicure was chipped and looked terrible. I get frequent manicures and I've never had this problem. I did nothing out of the ordinary that caused the chipping, but I definitely don't want to go back to have a similar issue in less than a week.
