One of three places we were told to try. I guess this is also a local favorite spot for people, Not a fancy place; in fact it kinda felt like an old cafe they just spruced up a bit with some nicer tables and decor. Nothing screamed "Italian" especially since the focus of the front was centered around Baseball regalia. Our waiters took our orders, and after bringing our drinks only then did she bring out bread. The bread was okay; along with the oil but something just seemed missing from it. We got our meals "good portion size for price" but once again something was missing. My chicken parm was pretty good, the spaghetti was kind of flavorless and swimming in water. My child's alfredo didn't taste creamy at all and also lacked flavor, and my wife's manicotti "while cheesy" was extremely greasy and not flavorful either. We were passing through this town and spotted La Villa and decided to try it. The restaurant is quaint and has a warm and cozy atmosphere. it was late, so we were easily able to get a table. Large menu but we opted for the meat lovers large pizza. Our server was pleasant and confirmed we could bring an outside bottle of wine in to enjoy with our meal. The pizza, although light on sauce, was very tasty and bursting with flavor from the various meats and cheese! To top off our meal we opted for a tiramisu and boy was it amazing! Wow! Just passing through on my drive I stopped for the night. I didn't know I'd visit one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever eaten at! The staff is super friendly, the bread service was incredible (fresh basil leaves in the olive oil spice mixture), and the chicken Caesar salad is epic! That's like TWO chicken breast on this thing, and it's sooo tasty, for $12!?! The music is soft Italian, and the tables are solid wood. Love it. read more

I hadn't been to La Villa in almost a decade, so I decided to come back to give it a try. The atmosphere nor the menu seemed to have changed since my last visit, but there's nothing wrong with that. Our service was so-so but that was due to our inattentive server. The other server there was constantly checking on nearby tables and very aware of her customers' needs. Our server unfortunately spent more time sitting and talking at the host stand. Despite being one of three tables for her, it took 15 minutes to get our first basket of bread. So I don't want to say this place has bad service when I witnessed another employee doing her absolute best, but I guess we couldn't be so lucky. As far as the food goes, we enjoyed our meals. The prices are reasonable. Everything came out piping hot too. The alfredo sauce was lacking seasoning, so I wouldn't recommend it. The pasta trio meal only included one ravioli which I found to be disappointing. However, the chicken parmesan and manicotti were both standout dishes. Do I think La Villa is the best place to get Italian food in Russellville? Not by a long shot. But you won't leave here hungry. read more

Traveling across the state and was looking for a lunch place. Saw this little Italian restaurant and decided to try it. Was disappointed. The sauce on the pizza was enough difference that I didn't enjoy it. The toppings were ok but hardly generous. Service was very good. When went to pay discovered they wouldn't take my AMEX card, so I checked on the door and there was nothing posted. Luckily I do carry another card so I used it. I travel a lot for work so it's always nice to find something different. This Italian gem is located in an old Pizza Hut but the food is incredible. Horrible food!!!! Complimentary garlic bread was uncooked. We ordered baked ziti, it came burnt and I like slightly burnt zitti but this was turned dark. My wife ordered a salad which came without dressing, She had to wait so long she started eating the salad without dressing. So I found La Villa after a particularly long day working. I walked in and found the decor decidedly homey and cozy. Pleasant staff greeted and seated me promptly. They know how to brew tea here, and I was enjoying the drink while waiting briefly for food I ordered. Enter the side salad with house dressing. Very generous portion with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and black olives. The salad dressing was fresh and very tasty! The knot rolls with herb and olive oil dip complimented well. The rolls were fresh, soft, and delicious. I chose the Italian platter - a sampler of manicotti, lasagna, and fettuccine Alfredo. WARNING: Bring. Your. Appetite!!!! Very generous in size, the platter was a nice choice. The star was the Alfredo! Creamy sauce that just rolls on your palate with heavenly texture and flavour! The only way to elevate it would to have added gruyere cheese!! The manicotti was perfect in my opinion and fast off my plate! The inly thing I found exception with was the lackluster flavour profile of the lasagna. Othewise, I was very full and very content! The owner is from NY and cooks a mean meal! I raved about the Alfredo to the waitress. I heard her tell the owner my response as he emerged briefly from the kitchen. I will add that the waitress did sing praises about the chicken primavera. The owner is from Italy and he has been in business for many years. His name is Ray. He had a restaurant in Brooklyn NY and then moved to Russellville Arkansas where he has been in business here for about 14 years. Everything is made fresh daily and is the best Italian food you will get in the Russellville area. His deserts are all from Brooklyn NY. They are the real things. His prices are very reasonable and his portions are huge. You can get 2 meals out of it. Save room for his dessert which are the best. Tiramisu is my favorite. His wait staff on the weekends are outstanding and they all work together as a team. There names are Anna, Sam and Myra. During the week all his other wait staff are outstanding also.This restaurant is a husband and wife team. Ray is in the kitchen cooking and Ann is in the front end of the restaurant working. Authentic New York Italian cuisine in Russellville, Arkansas! To start, our server was super sweet and very attentive. They gave us garlic knots to start...super! The key to good Italian food is always the sauce - and it was perfect- not too sweet, not too tart, a great tomato flavor with just the right amount of garlic and spices! I ordered eggplant parmigiana and my brother had chicken parmigiana- both excellent choices! The food came out warm, the pasta was perfectly al dente and our dishes were fantastic and large portions.
