$2,500 Leather Sofa is a Cheap Piece of Garbage. Had sofa 10 days and left arm frame cracked. How does that happen when a 190 lb. person leans over to grab something from the end table? I turned the sofa over and discovered the frame was made from 1/2 inch "FAKE" pressed wood. The screws had literally pulled out of the wood. Lazy Boy touts its "Made in America" banner but has no quality control or assurance. Why spend $2,500 for an American made Piece of Garbage when you can pay $1,500 for the same Piece of Garbage from China...??? Despite the website stating that the discount was only available in-store, I was told this location doesn't honor national promotions. On top of that, they wouldn't offer any alternative deals unless I financed the purchase, clearly pushing for an upsell on their warranty. The whole experience felt deceptive and sales-driven. Garbage products. 3 years ago we spent $1,000 for a rug in my office (plus another $10,000 on other items. The rug gets very little use. The matting on the run now looks like CRAP. We replaced a 15 year old run and the 15 year old rug looked 100x better than the rug from La-Z-Boy. We purchased it from the Reno, NV and the Customer Support is TERRIBLE. I have spent over $15000.00 with Mathenson in the past year. Went to the Lazyboy store in Springdale and one of the pillows we bought after having it for 3 months came apart. Took it back to the store to get a replacement pillow and the store manger will not do anything about the replacement pillow. I have made numerous calls and the customer service center who answers the phone says we will have someone call you back which never happens. Very poor CUSTOMER SERVICE and I will be sure to tell and let everyone know not to buy anything from any of the stores owned by this company. read more

We went to the Springdale store to purchase 2 recliners and a love seat. My wife and Sonia (sales person ) tried every set in the store. Sonia was very helpful And patient. and went above and beyond to help us. Mike was also very helpful with showing us the discounts and setting up the credit account. Purchased a swivel recliner Paid for delivery. They dropped it at the top of the stairs and would not bring it in the house. So happy I did not purchase a sectional and loveseat. Do yourself a favor and have a friend with a truck and bring it to your house and save 150 bucks no directions as far as taking the screw out of the bottom of the chair so it swivels. read more

I called the Tulsa Mathis Brothers who told me the Extended Warranty was NOT required and should have nothing to do with the price, as I am a member. Still awaiting on an answer back as to whether they are going to sell me this sofa without an extended warranty. The sales staff are friendly and helpful, but make you wait while they go find out the answers from the manager for many questions that they should know the answers to. The friendliness is the only reason for 2 stars - they store's shady practices and the same scam of saying you have to be a member to get free delivery = intentional fraud. Not sure if it is the manager's policy or the store's franchise owner's policy. The 'lie' was that there was a delivery fee - either $99 or $139 that would get free delivery on any future purchases. NEVER was it disclosed that the $139 was going to be an annual and ongoing charge. They only have electronic screens for you to review the multiple pages of information about the scam membership - after you've made a purchase and are in the checkout process could you have access to it. The "just go ahead and sign it now, you can read it later when you receive it in an email" was the information we were given. After calling the sales person and having to wait for him to call back after "checking with the manager" we were given a dismissive "you can go ahead and just cancel the order" answer about having the membership revoked/refunded. (Since the Tulsa location had already said there was NOT supposed to be any delivery charge with the purchase of the recliner. We had to call Tulsa back and they confirmed the order, as well as gave a refund on the bogus/fraudulent $139 FAKE mandatory membership. The Tulsa location also said that a fabric that we were told was discontinued and not available was still available and not discontinued. We knew this location had bad reviews (just look at all of them), but it is the only in store location within hours. These fraudulent practices against senior citizens should get charged as elder abuse - so uncalled for. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM MATHIS BROTHERS. DO NOT BUY LAZBOY PRODUCTS! We bought a very expensive Lazboy power dual recliner from Mathis Brothers in Siloam Springs. The problems didn't start until after the product was delivered. We noticed the loveseat wasn't upholstered correctly. There wasn't enough padding in the lower back and the top seemed flat. We sent it back, and after a few weeks it was returned, only then, after the drivers left, we saw that the chairs were obviously uneven. This was in March 2020, just as covid hit. They said they couldn't get the upholstery stuffing from China and we had to wait. Every few months we'd check in with someone who told us the same thing--the stuffing wasn't available. (I have saved all my e-mail correspondence.) Finally, after TWO YEARS OF WAITING, I contacted the store again and was told that we would have to pay to have Mathis Brothers pick up the recliner, pay to have them stuff it, and pay to have it shipped back. In addition to the lousy service, it's sad to see what was once the top-of-the line product fail so miserably. I'm still trying to figure out a way to get Mathis Brothers to honor their agreement, but it looks like they're not an honorable company. read more

AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST! They can't get anything right. In a nutshell, we purchased 2 matching loveseats. When delivered, one was the wrong loveseat. It turns out, the only matching loveseat on the face of the earth was a floor model in their store. The manager said if we cancelled our order there was a 10% restocking fee (even though they couldn't fulfill their side of the sale). If we hadn't really liked the loveseats we would have told her she could have everything back and we'd see her in court. Instead we opted for the floor model. So the wrong one had to go back to the warehouse and a new one had to come from the store. Nothing could happen on the same date. Once everything was finally delivered and picked up, we waited 3 weeks for credit back. Finally called to get credit. Got shorted over $120 on the credit and they said it was "a tax thing". I give up at this point. And by the way, we never once received a call from the salesman who got commission on the sale. Way to go, Troy Brown. read more

Seems to be a very big disconnect between the store and the warehouse. Was told by the store that the delivery was scheduled, waited all day expecting a call from the delivery truck which never happened. Mid afternoon I called the store and they said my furniture was in route to the warehouse and was told another delivery date. Well, that delivery date came and went, with me making another call to the store and talking to the store manager. Was told that the item was to be delivered in a couple days. My 86-year-old father bought a $2500 chair from this store in April '22. By August '22 it had stopped working. Because this chair has a lift to assist my father getting up, it was crucial it be fixed. Further, it was stuck in the recline position, so unusable as a chair. These chairs have a lifetime warranty. After contacting La-Z-Boy, someone was dispatched from Tulsa over two weeks later to repair what was essentially a new item. He came and left without fixing it. We were told it needed a new controller and that it would be a MONTH! before the part arrived. I went into La-Z-Boy to ask them to expedite this. The people at the store were very helpful and sent out there own technician, Jesús, to fix the chair immediately. He brought a new controller, which was not the problem, despite the diagnosis of the Tulsa tech. Jesús immediately saw the problem and came back the next morning, Voilá, fixed chair. The store and its staff are great. Juli and Jesús were on top of it. Here is the problem, however, and the reason for 3 stars. While the store is wonderful, their corporate bosses and policies are ridiculous. If you call the store's listed number, you are routed to a call center near Tulsa. If you need service, the store is not supposed to send its own technicians; they are supposed to be dispatched from Tulsa. This results in very long waits for service (if the Springdale store hadn't stepped in we would have waited six weeks for a new controller, simply to discover that it wasn't the problem). It is pretty clear that the techs they are sending out from their Tulsa headquarter are under-trained and inefficient (why didn't he have all the parts with him? Why didn't he know the model of the chair so he could make a repair it took Jesús 10 minutes to do?). Thank goodness for the Springdale store's commitment to customer service and their deftness at problem solving. It is grossly inefficient that they have to circumvent corporate policies in order to provide this kind of service. Fixing this chair was not simply a matter of addressing a minor inconvenience; it directly affected my elderly father's mobility. So I give the store 5 stars. They were responsive, polite, and demonstrated real concern. However, the corporation that controls the store and makes their inane policies gets 0 stars.They are impersonal, inefficient, poorly trained, and duplicitous. They contributed to making a simple repair a huge ordeal both for their customers and the employees at the store who were trying to help. read more

Lack of service!!! So we bought two chairs and after 3 months one broke. We had to call for warranty work and waited 2 weeks for the guy to come out. Called to see where we were at three days later. Nothing had been done. They had not even ordered the parts yet. Finally ordered parts due to my call. Told me when the parts came in (delivered to my house) to call. Received parts Dec 18 but repairman can not get out till the 31st but they can not give you a time and do not call ahead. They just show up. Well, I have a life so that will not work so the next date is the 15th of January. Called to make a complaint and got nowhere. I asked for a supervisor was put on forever hold. My daughter purchased a lazyboy recliner for Father's Day last April it did not get delivered until December . She paid extra for service contract within three months the back broke and the reclining mechanism broke, now they won't repair it because it is unsanitary, no accidents happened no spillage had happened. But a good way of dealing with the problems(. All they want to do is sell the product and get your money.Service department has very rude people. Update: due to my persistence to get the chair fixed the chair's return mechanism They sent a secondary company to repair but this time after sanitizing the chair per their instructions is broken i had bed urinal placed by chair so that is why they said the chair was unsanitary. I was told still unsanitary urinal by the chair sorry guys I moved it before you arrived, try again the broken parts were rusted sorry guys Aluminum does not rust it corrodes they would not send the pictures that proved their points , never asked to take them but they will not share. Well I needed a new couch and I decided to check out La-Z-Boy. When I walked in the first thing I noticed that the show room was nice, clean and well organized. I was greeted by a Salesman name Shawn. Shawn was not one of those pushy salesmen, he explained to me how the store was set up and if I had any questions he would be happy to answer any question. I decided on a couch that I liked and Shawn answered all of my questions. Shawn explained the history of the company to me and I did not realize that the product in the store was made in Arkansas. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual, I was not over ran by the greedy salesmen or saleswoman. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new couch or furniture. The only thing I would warm people is that the furniture is a little more expensive but I am happy to spend more on a quality product made in the U.S.A read more

The customer service is subpar at best. They don't answer phones and folks answering are not informed. Just had an encounter with a woman, who I could barely understand (quiet talker and sounded sleepy) and she gave me delivery dates ranging from December to May for the same sofa. After questioning again, she said December 4th. That's a lot of variation and then precision. Hmmm. I want yo to sell my furniture and want to get a reliable delivery date estimate so I can coordinate disposition of current furniture. I am concerned that I made a bad purchase after reading service and furniture quality reviews. DO NOT Purchase from this unethical store! I've already made a complaint at the BBB. I made a purchase at this store on 09/04/22, on 09/06 I decided to cancel the purchase Before it was delivered. When I called and I was told only a Mgr or sales could cancel and they wouldn't be in until 09/08. I called on 09/08 and was told sales was out and no one would/could cancel my purchase to call back the next day. I called on 09/09 three times and finally I was able to get my purchase cancelled but they were going to charge me a 10% holding fee of $206 since they held it so long. Bought a sectional couch with chaise lounger and 2 reclining chairs. Service was great. Order complete and delivered on schedule without damage. Have owned for 6 months and use daily. Two adults and no kids. Dog not allowed on the furniture. Considering that these were NOT inexpensive, I am disappointed in the quality of the fabric as well as the reclining mechanism for these reasons: 1. Fabric already shows wear. 2. Recliners have limited settings. To fully elevate your legs/foot support, you have to be in reclined position which is not comfortable for reading, etc. I should have thought of this and checked the reclining function in the store but didn't so just beware. 3. Foot supports make clickiing noises as if they are not connected correctly and then don't align with the rest of the couch when retracted. 4. The way the sectionals are connected is unstable and kind of cheap.They hook together with a metal notch and extension. If you happen to push on the couch wrong, they disconnect and come apart. Not very stable. 5. Cushions are not very firm. 6. Poor back support, especially noticable on the recliners. 7. In general, not of the quality I expected from the La-Z-Boy brand. Quality and service. My wife and I were searching for matching recliners for the living room. We checked several places, but I decided we had better include La-Z-Boy, simply because They're "THE CHAIR", or so I had been led to believe for most of my life. Not so. We bought two power recliners, wireless remote control, for a combined total of $3,131.90 (08/29/20). Prior to the sale, no one on the floor could make it work and a warehouse man had to be called. After that was done and the chairs were delivered. We decided that we wanted to buy power packs. Another wait because none were on hand. In house, the chairs worked as designed until OCT of 2021, one month after purchase, curious, since I have been made to understand that electronic repairs are warranted for one year. When I called, I was referred to a third party in Oklahoma and was put on a schedule for repair. When it was finally our turn, the repairman showed up and after $70.00 trip fee, said it was the chair's receiver and one would be put on order. When I called Oklahoma, I was told that it generally took 4 to 6 weeks for delivery but rest secure in the knowledge that they were trying to expedite my claim but be aware that I would be responsible for another trip ticket of $70.00, and if the part was not covered, parts and labor as well. That was before Christmas, Today is March 9, 2022, go figure. Still no word, no fixee, no workee, no hope.. Never wrote a complaint before, I usually shrug it off, and say to myself, "Buyer; Beware". We visited the La-Z-Boy store in Springdale, AR March 10, 2023 and as soon as we walked into the store we were greeted by Tate W with a smile and "Welcome to our store". We told Tate what we wanted, and he knew exactly where to take us. Tate has the ability and knowledge to help his customers decide on the right furniture without pressure. We also met Truella and Joe who were very helpful, professional, and friendly. Tate went out of his way to make sure he understood the furniture we were looking for. His mannerisms and easy smile made us feel comfortable dealing with him. Tate wanted to make sure we were satisfied by checking on various styles and colors of the specific furniture we wanted to purchase. We haven't received our furniture yet so we will review it later, but based on our dealings so far, we would recommend La-Z-Boy in Springdale, AR to anyone in the market for furniture. Furniture is not of good quality and they refuse to remedy their billing errors. I would not recommend this group to anyone. Upon delivery of the furniture problems were found and pointed out to the delivery team who stated the issue was just with how items were packed. Center cushion on couch is still not correct and there is no replacement as yet. Thier Springdale store double charged for battery packs and this has still not been corrected. I find them dishonest in business practices and poor in the customer service department. I love my new couch/sectional. It's beautiful and seems extremely well made. But getting it and all the correct parts and pieces has been terrible. Their customer service has been a nightmare and getting what we actually ordered has been up to US, the customer, and been an ordeal. I will not do any further business with them. We bought an expensive fully motorized sofa a few months ago as a custom order...well over $3000. Upon delivery the right back rest did not fit properly and the mechanism made snapping noises when moving the cushions into position. The left side always looked good and functioned properly. A service call was placed and a tech came out and tried to affect a repair. It seemed to function okay. He said he would make notes and that we should place another call and the service department would order the parts he suggested. His repair did not hold and I called in for service. The service department said the tech would have to place the order but he was on vacation. What?! Nothing in my record. After a month of trying to get service. we went to the store and talked to the salesman and a new service manager who said the SNAFU was the fault of the previous manager who was fired. They needed a code from the sofa and the manager gave me his cell so I could send him an image of the label with the code. After a week or so of me repeatedly calling and texting him, he finally answered and said the service department was getting the parts and they would call to schedule a pickup so they could take it to the shop for repair. The delivery guys came and picked it up about a week later and the shop had it for a month even though they claimed the parts were in. When the sofa was delivered after the repair, the exact same problems were there. It was as if they did nothing. I would like my money back. read more
