First of all when they finally drew blood a mark was made that looks like it won't go away. the staff there is very rude and not knowledgable. No one was at the front desk when I arrived and when I eventually stepped to back she got very upset. I was not at all rude to deserve such an attitude. THere was an issue with my paperwork and technician insisted on getting script. My doctors office faxed it again but same technician said it was not coming through. I'm sure that she was not turning on fax machine but said it was on. I had to get form from Doctors office and hand deliver. She was very sarcastic and rude the entire time. My recent visit to this LabCorp location was unfortunately as atrocious as most of these reviews support. I had gone against my gut and opted to go to the nearest location to me, despite the few stars this lab had. Upon entering, I wasn't greeted by the technician or assistant at the front desk. When I asked a simple question, the technician (Carlton) spoke to me very sarcastically. I let it slide as I needed the bloodwork in a timely manner. When I went to get my blood drawn, he handled the materials very unprofessionally, flinging and tossing the cap off the vial and handling the venipuncture ungently. Without meaning to be melodramatic, I felt slightly traumatized after the appointment and couldn't shake the feeling off for much of the day. I hope that prospective future patients will stay very far away from Carlton and this awful lab and opt for a different Labcorp location. read more

I went to LabCorp in Bethpage to get blood taken (07-14-18). Receptionist was nice and I ended up getting the "doctor/male nurse?" to draw my blood. I generally start a conversation with a little humor since I hate needles. I said, "So, are they still using needles to take blood these days?". He didn't even look me in the eye...once. Proceeded to give me directions, sit here, put your arm out, make a fist as he tied my arm up with the rubber strips. Then he stuck the needle in me so hard it was like being hit with a baseball bat. My opinion: maybe you've had a bad day, if so, try to keep it to yourself. You never know who you're dealing with or what they're going through in their lives. It's been a full week now and this is what my arm looks like. I do not bruise easily. read more

Labcorp - One week later. - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Hicksville, New York

I have had a lot of experiences with LabCorp in Hicksville and honestly none have been pleasant. When you walk in, no one greets you or helps, multiple times i've stood at the front desk waiting for someone to look up from their phones or stop having conversations to help me. My most recent experience is what is making me write this review, since I am not one to give poor reviews often. I am getting surgery and went for my bloodwork to be done 2 weeks prior to the surgery (I even went a day earlier to assure everything would get done in time) after yet another poor experience with their customer service, I left expecting my results to be faxed over to my doctor in a timely fashion. Exactly 1 week later I called my doctors to make sure they had my bloodwork, however, they said it had not been faxed over yet, it was too late to call LabCorp so I waited until the next morning and called 7 times and they did not answer. I had to have my doctors office call them and make them send the paperwork over. Eventually they got it but it was a long drawn out process that should not have happened. I do not know what the other LabCorp locations are like but I would not recommend going to the Hicksville one if you can avoid it. read more

Had appt at 10am. Was told after An hour of sitting here, I didn't have an appt. Then was told I did but it was at 9:45. Now it 11:07am. Woman next to me had one at 9:15am and was sitting also over and hour. Had to give a urine sample after blood work done and their wasn't a soap dispenser or pump soap and no paper towels anywhere. The man working at this location is awful. He should not be working a job if he doesn't like people. He's rolling his eyes at patients. He also refused services on a young man for not having a mask on. The man got a mask after a few minutes and continued to sit In the waiting room but the police came and told him the guy won't draw his blood and he had to leave. He had a mask on!! Disgusting! BEYOND ignorant! Puffy faced hippo with the resting bitch face behind the desk, clearly more concerned with slurping up her Starbucks than the clients- no hello, no good morning- NOTHING! It is unbelievable to me the lack of standard Lab Corp apparently has when hiring their employees. This is the second time I've come here (it is literally 50 feet from my office) and the SECOND time I've been disgusted with the complete lack of professionalism. I am terrified of getting my blood drawn since I'm usually very lightheaded afterwards. My doctor requires that I get a routine blood test each year and I usually go to a Quest Diagnostics center b/c my insurance is covered there. This year I changed insurance and I had to go to a Lapcorp. Luckily there was one close to my house and it was open on Saturdays. I scheduled an appointment through their website hoping that I could be seen a lot closer to the time since I've usually had a long wait in the past. This place was a little hard to find the entrance. I recommend going to the back door or the front. The side entrance will not open and it looked like a construction area. When I walked into the suite I was surprised to find so many people waiting. All of the seats were full. I asked the receptionist how long the wait was and she said an hour. I then asked if I have to wait an hour even if I have an appointment. I was ready to leave at that point if she said yes. She asked what time my appt was and I was on time so she told me that she'll take me in a few minutes after my paperwork was complete. The receptionist was very friendly, which surprised me since I've been to other places where the receptionists are usually very abrupt. It turns out the receptionist is also a phlebotomist. There were two on site including her, which is why the wait was so long. The receptionist/phlebotomist was really nice and efficient. I told her that I was nervous about getting my blood drawn and she was really reassuring. She was able to find my vein easily and I was done within a few minutes. She saw that I was lightheaded and told me to sit for a bit until I was feeling good enough to walk. I HIGHLY recommend making an appointment at any labcorp or quest diagnostics. It seems that the appointment system is the only accurate way of predicting when you'll be seen. read more

The worst lab ever with the worst employees. Had to go in to leave a sample. Doctor told me I could take care of everything there. The unpleasant woman at the front desk says no and hands me my supplies in a clear bag. Mortified! Then when I tell her I have special circumstances she basically tells me to use my hands. Then finally since I'm sick to my stomach I ask to use the public rest room and she says there isn't one. The restroom is directly across from the office. The don't deserve any stars. read more

Don't bother making appointment.. my 7:45 appointment was taken in at 8:15. After watching people walk in and be taken right away, I went to the front desk and asked if, "why make appointment to be seen by order of walking in"...to this she replied, " Oh, did you have an appointment"?, YES THATS WHY I MARKED IN THE SPACE THAT I DID!!!!!. very unorganized and not clean. This place is horrible!!! The personel is very nasty. As you are in the waiting room you hear a child crying for more than 10 minutes because the doctor can't find the child's vain. As I walked in there was a rude lady who just glared at me and then huffed and told me to go pee. She didn't give me a cup so I went out to ask and she gave me one. Now they must use these types of wipes to clean yourself and they had none. In the bathroom there was just a toilet and toilet paper. No sink, no paper dispenser, no garbage can, nothing! They also have students from a medical school there who are allowed to test you. Which I think is unsafe. The student couldn't find my vain on my left arm. After moving/ digging in the needle for about 5 minutes she decided to try my right. She stuck the needle no where near my vain and dug it in as well. There goes major bruising!!! Eventually she found my vain! I wouldn't recommend this place at all, if you can, stick to QUEST DIAGNOSIS read more
