Okay. I was looking at the reviews as soon as I got there. I looked for stains on the carpet, all the gross things I read. Did not see them. My only gripe was the drug screening restroom looked sketchy and the sink was off limits? Kind of gross. Thanks goodness there was hand sanitizer right outside. Still though...Eww. I made an appointment. I was there a bit early. The room was packed. I got admitted at my 9:15 time. In and out by 9:30. My veins are tricky for the blood tests but the guy knew what he was doing. I came to this place during the week to get my lab work done during my regular yearly check up and am glad i decided on this place. First, i must say that I see many of the reviews on here on complaints for the wait time. However , I made an appointment at 8:30am, showed up 8:15am and was out by 8:45am. It was quick and easy stop at this place. As i filled out the waiting list i realized that 90% of people show up here with no appointment , hence their wait of over an hour. There were 15 people ahead of me on the list but as soon as the person that they were helping finished, I was called up next due to my appointment reservation. So if you decide to get lab work done here, yes, its not the fanciest but it can be much faster if you simply go online and get an appointment prior to your visit. The interior was small, nothing fancy at all, few chairs only and very busy lobby but receptionist and staff was friendly and helpful. When I need lab work done again, I will definitely return to this place. read more

I called to make an appointment prior to doing a walk in. I left a voicemail no one called me back. I called their customer service number they said I could walk in so I did. When I get their the lady very RUDE said I needed an appointment. Well lady I tried to make one and no one called me back. She must hate her job even though she didn't do much but say I have once chance to pee or I would need to come back... if I didn't meet the requirement needed. There was a girl who came after me they told her the same thing.... If you hate your job please do us all a favor and leave. When arrived at the facility no welcome just are you here for blood work and I stated no I am not I am here for a pre-employment work up and was stated rudely they will not be serving me as that cut of was 3 pm and I stated it is 3:06 I have an appointment and explained the situation to them and she stated it doesn't matter period I asked to speak with a supervisor and she refused finally the girl next to her gave me her supervisor number with no response and full voice mail so I am not the only one calling to make a formal mistake. Choose a different location, this place is practically a methadone clinic. I was scheduled to go here for a routine drug test for a job I had just gotten. I really felt humiliated, carrying my cup of pee around the office filled with ex-cons and junkie types. I was seriously considering walking out and forgetting the job. (What kind of employer puts you through this?) Now I know I will never agree to a drug test for an employer or visit this location for anything medical.... unless perhaps someday I need some methadone. Plus, after sitting for 20 minutes, I asked how long it would take... and the receptionist showed me the clipboard of people who were there for full blood work. I know a piss test doesn't take that long, and they even had a different clipboard for drug tests. After I pointed this out, I was out of there 10 minutes later. If I hadn't spoken up, I probably would have sat there all morning. read more

Super overcrowded for the drug screen. It'll take you over 2 hours to get into a bathroom to pee in a cup. The lab technicians work pretty fast. However this place is very understaffed and a billion people want results and also there's only 1 bathroom where the drug screen tests take place. If your employer sends you this way then try to get an appointment. They'll help you out first! The front desk lady was so nice. She alone gets the 3 stars!! Tip- bring a book. If you're in school bring your textbook and notes, take a seat and get ready to ace your next exam Parking - look for street parking. I just finished a lab work here and I walked in very skeptical after reading all the reviews. I needed to come here because it is close to my work. The positives: My experience wasn't bad at all. I made an appointment and was taken immediately! The nurse who drew my blood was nice and efficient. I would recommend doing an appointment to be in and out. The negatives: Small place so it feels crowded even though there were only 10 on total. People who were waiting had a really long face, who knows how long they had been waiting and there were not enough seats so people were standing up. The restroom are not really clean. read more

My doctor sent me here to get blood work done and after reading all these reviews I was apprehensive to say the least. I prepared myself for the worst and was pleasantly surprised with my experience! I definitely don't think this place deserves so few stars. Cons: 1. PARKING - you have to pay for parking which I find slightly annoying. It's $8 cash only. After talking to the parking attendant who was pretty cold and rude, I found super close street parking. 4 hours $0.50 per hour. 2. PEOPLE - I was approached by 3 Hispanic women all asking me for directions inside the building. Problem is they ONLY spoke Spanish...I tried helping as much as I could but it gets a little frustrating when you're the only English speaking person in the facility. 3. ATMOSPHERE - as other people stated, the inside of the office isn't the GREATEST. But honestly it wasn't as bad as other places I've been. Gotta get used to a dingy carpet & walls when you're on HMO in LA. That's just how it is. Pros: 1. DOCTOR - She was great! I have tiny veins that are hard to find and she got it in one poke. I was terrified because of my past experiences but she was very nice, talkative, and quick. I was super happy. 2. RECEPTIONIST - Super nice, friendly, and fast! 3. APPOINTMENT - there were probably 15 people in the tiny waiting room but because I made an appointment, I got to walk right in, get my blood drawn, and leave! So easy. I definitely recommend making an appointment or you'll be waiting an hour. You can even do it online. Overall, this was a great experience. Avoid going to this place at all costs. It is foul and there is a chance your blood and urine samples will be contaminated. In a nutshell: The staff tried to use gloves that they had dropped on the floor, and later gave me an unsterile urine cup that had presumably been used before as it was wet and discolored (Thorough details below) I came here as directed by my GP as her office is not equipped to do blood labs. This Labcorp is a very small office inside a medical building. It is small and very dirty. As other yelpers stated: stained carpets and absolutely disgusting bathroom. I checked in, and didn't wait more than 10 mins. I was directed to sit in a seat in clear view of the waiting room. A woman came to me to take my DOB and name to print out labels for the blood vials and urine cup. She then proceeded to put on rubber gloves but not before DROPPING THEM ON THE GROUND THEN CONTINUING TO PUT THEM ON. I asked that she please put on a fresh pair. Sitting in clear view of the waiting room, with ZERO privacy whatsoever, she drew the necessary blood and then handed me a cup for my urine sample and directed me to the bathroom. It was no better than a crappy gas station bathroom and I could not believe this was an actual medical facility's bathroom. Upon entering, I noticed the lid of the cup I had been given already had a broken seal. I opened the cup and there were faint brown bits on the inside of the cup and it was wet around the rim. Upon further examination they had actually placed my label over someone else's on a PREVIOUSLY USED URINE CUP. When I went to the front to disclose that I needed a clean cup and that mine was previously used, the gentleman tried to cover up by saying that "some coffee had spilled on some of the cups and the tech had probably broken the seal when trying to wipe it off." I am not sure if that cover story was meant to make me feel better, but he said he would get me a new cup and returned quickly with a clean cup with seal unbroken and said "There, is that better for you?" I cannot urge you enough to please stay away from this rundown unsanitary place. There are several other Labcorp locations which could be better, but I do not know. read more

Slow and slower. Understaffed for the flow of traffic they get. Nowhere to park. I've been here once before and experienced extremely long wait times. Perhaps they should have one person designated for urine drug screens and a few people for other lab work. The only thing making me not flip out is this set of twins that are cooing and trying to walk. It's truly entertaining. Thank god for babies (somebody else's lol). As soon you you walk into the suite, it's has a bad stench to the waiting room. Overcrowded and not enough seating. However you see the sign in sheet is the order you get called on; REGARDLESS if you have an appointment and others don't. There is only one technician to draw blood for over 15 ppl. I would avoid this location for sure. Street parking only. I have three stars since the lady drawing my blood was super nice and friendly. Totally turned my experience around. read more

I was told to come here for a pre-employment drug test. I made an appointment online for 1:30 PM a few days in advance. I arrived around 1:00 PM to a waiting room and hallway full of people waiting around. I ended up having my sample taken around 1:45 PM or so, only because of my appointment. The wait for walk-ins was probably around 1-1.5 hours so I highly recommend making an appointment! The guy at the front probably has a difficult time managing people who have to wait for so long but he was super polite and amiable. The woman who gave me the instructions for the urine collection was also patient and friendly, apologizing for the wait. The waits are long and there definitely could be more seats in the waiting room, but if you make an appointment, your experience here will be much better. As an extra bonus, I got to make some new friends as we all bonded over the long waiting times in the hallway. Also, be aware they only do drug testing from 12-3 PM so be sure to keep that in mind! read more

I had to go to Labcorp to take a urine drug test for my employer, and after reading the lousy reviews I felt like I needed to write a defense for this location. To start, this location is in a larger building on the 6th floor. It's at the end of the hall and there's a large enough sign so you can identify where you're going. I took other reviewers' advice and made a reservation online. I arrived a few minutes late, so I won't complain that I had to wait a few minutes for someone to check me in. The place was packed, but it was a Monday afternoon. There's also a water cooler in the waiting area, which wasn't as dirty as the other reviews say. There were only about 12 seats, though, if I remember correctly. I had to stand because the seats were full, but after I got checked in, I only had to stand waiting a few more minutes. The lab tech (?) was very friendly, quick, and professional. He even asked me if I was excited for my new job. All in all, I give this place 5/5 stars because I was in and out in 20 minutes and everything went smoothly! read more

Went to take my daughter as she needed some blood work done. We had an appointment at 2:45 made us wait until 3:35 almost an hour wait. Alot of patients in that little room. Came here & waited about 30 mins to take a drug test . Receptionist was at first nice . I asked her how long and stated about 15 mins .. i drank a lot of water to pee and now i have to go bad.. i asked the receptionist how much longer . There was a patient who came late to his appointment and yet still go out first before me . I understand but still . I have to peeeee!! Receptionist was RUDE when i asked her again how long . After reading the negative reviews, I was not looking forward to going here for my employment drug screening. However, my experience went quite smoothly. I made my appointment online for 1:45pm on a Thursday. When I arrived there were no other customers, so that's probably why my processing went by so quickly - I was in and out of there in about 10 minutes. It's true that the staff were not super friendly or welcoming, but I get it, they're probably jaded from having to deal with a bunch of probation knuckleheads trying to cheat on their drug tests every day. Sure, some enthusiasm, a smile or a "how's your day?" type of greeting would have been nice and added an extra star to this review, but overall, I was grateful that they didn't waste my time at the facility and got me out of there in a hurry. read more

I wish people had more choices when it comes to employment drug testing. This is the nearest so I went here. The staff, not helpful and seems they don't like their job. They don't smile and argue with one another about their work in front of customers - waiting customers. They won't go extra mile but at least have the customer service skill they need to provide. This is supposed to be a walk-in Lab right?? I am a health care provider. I usually use Primex in Pasadena to draw my personal labs with great satisfaction, but I had a case at California Hospital across the street delayed and had 45 minutes to wait so I decided to go across the street to have my labs drawn. I walked in and their were 3 patients. Not a problem in 45 minutes right? 38 minutes later the technician had yet to finish the first patient. I used my cell phone to call the Operating Room Desk at the Hospital to check on the status of my patient. The tech left the one patient she was with to come reprimand me for using my cell phone. I told her I needed to leave and could not wait and she yelled YELLED at me I was not an appointment and walk-ins can wait up to 2 hours. At this point there were 9 other patients in the waiting area. I told her 'I am not telling you you are bad, I am telling you you need more help, I have a patient on the table and I have to go'. This place is awful. Is it a walk in clinic only for those who can wait all day? What a lack of respect to the patients they serve. And worse yet? I went to send some feedback through the company website and there is no contact information to do so. Will never ever ever ever refer any patient there. read more

Dear LabCorp Downtown Los Angeles, I was respectful of your time by showing up early for the appointment I made with you; why couldn't you show me the same respect? ******** In real estate they say it is location, location, location - this is NOT the location. For starters, the place feels dirty. It needs a cleaning, paint job or something to help clients feel they are safe having blood drawn. The staff (okay the ONE person I interacted with) seemed pleasant/polite enough. I made an appointment for general lab work - a routine lab blood draw. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment time and I asked the person behind the desk approximately how long he thought the wait would be - he looked around and said "Ummm, about 5 minutes or so." So, I joined the 8 other people in the waiting area. I was called up to the same desk/window about 5 minutes later and was asked for my insurance card - I again asked for a status on the wait time. The same person said, "we'll call you in just a few minutes." At 20 minutes past my appointment time (having been there 25-30 minutes) I informed the desk that i couldn't wait any longer as I had to return to my office. The man behind the desk said,"no big deal, but you were going to be next". Again I asked how long... AGAIN he says, "probably another 5 to 10 minutes." I told him that i couldn't wait and needed to return to work. (Doing the math, that would have had me in this little office for about an hour.) His parting comment to me was "Even with an appointment you should expect to wait at least 30 minutes." AT LEAST 30 minutes?! If this is true, why didn't he just tell me that when I asked the first time - upon my arrival? Why was the answer - "about 5 minutes"?? In their defense (because the are in desperate need of one) it seems they have ONE person drawing blood... (but, you don't know this walking in the door). I will be going back to the location in Pasadena, where they have honored the appointment time. read more

Cramped waiting area, sometimes standing room only, but better than most LabCorp locations I've been to. Waits are usually 15 min-30 min when I go (10a or so) which is good. I am currently at the LabCorp located on Grand Ave. The service here is terrible. Coming in for something as simple a drug screening which is only from 12pm-3pm. There is only one staff member assigned to drug screening also with one bathroom. Most labs have more than one restroom available. Be prepared to wait for over an hour with no appointment and at least 30 minutes with an appointment. Absolutely the worst lab testing place. read more

I was here for a pre-employment drug test; contrary to all the other reviews, I had a great experience here. I arrived right at 1PM, and was the third in line. The wait was around 15-30 minutes; but mostly it is because I needed time to drink more water to leave a sample. The receptionist/ lab person was very friendly and gave very clear instructions. Though I agree that there should be more seats to accommodate the large influx of costumers, there are things costumers can do to make the experience more enjoyable- 1) Arrive early; 2) Be aware that you might need to leave a urine sample, so save your trip to the bathroom until you get there! read more
