CRAPPY PLACE. I went in here to get a pre-employment drug test the other day, and it took me an…read morehour and a half due to the fact that I stood at reception counter for most of that time being ignored. I had multiple people working there look over at me but not say anything to me, and there were only me and a guy there as customers. The people that worked here were too busy hounding every store in Ohio for 22 oz bottles of water for donors to pay any attention to an actual donor who is making their paychecks. I had my ride sitting outside waiting for me for an hour and a half. The worst part of it is that it isn't like I could just leave and come back. They told me when I entered the place that if I left it would be considered a positive and I wouldn't get the job. So I was basically held hostage.

Handy today. Big parking lot across the street behind it. Got there a little before they open…read more(8am,) but you're able to wait inside the building. Nice bench, drinking fountain to hydrate before blood draw, etc. Got right in when they opened, no one else waiting. Easy check-in, friendly staff, distracted me during the stick, painless and quick. Super easy, definitely will keep this in mind for next time (there's always a next time as you get older.)

The tech then took about 15 minutes filling out paperwork, then had to redo them because he entered the information incorrectly. Ultimately, he drew 5 vials of blood for what was supposed to be 3 tests. I received one result on Saturday, and then called my physician today to see where the other two were, and they were never entered. So I'm not sure what the tech did with the additional 4 vials of blood that I gave him, but they were never even sent onto the lab for evaluation. On top of that, the tech made some inappropriate and sexist comments (making unsolicited remarks about how I should "let my husband be a man" etc.). This feels incredibly unprofessional bordering on negligent--even my physician was stunned. I'd strongly warn anyone against going here based on my experience, and I plan to contact Quest directly to share this feedback.

Usually talking about dogs. Distract you from the jab, get you on your way. Plenty of parking. Easy access off Olentangy. It's their most convenient location for me, but I'd go out of the way for their professionalism and attitude.

In 2024 Ohiohealth sold its labs to Quest, which now staffs them with young, tattooed, undertrained and probably lower-paid people. Neither woman I saw could get a blood draw. I went to an OSU facility instead - out of my way, and more paperwork - but the experience was vastly better and more professional.

The lab facility WAS always clean , well lit, fully staffed (with a receptionist), zero or little wait time, medical grade urine specimen cups . I mention the specimen cups because yesterday I was handed what can only be described as a flimsy plastic dixie cup with a flimsy lid not suitable for a picnic let alone medical use. The entire facilty was dark , dank, cluttered and had 1 person running the whole show. Reception has been replaced by a ID/insurance card reading Kiosk. I understand budget cuts but this is Private Equity level bullshit in our helthcare system. Did I mention they had 1 technician running everything?

The Lab Services Center just off of Schrock Rd. offers a quick and easy opportunity to have your…read moreblood drawn or any other diagnostic service that might be needed. We like that the Lab is rarely busy and we can get in and out quickly. Staff are very professional, yet patient, kind, friendly and quick to perform their tasks at hand. Usually, with a blood draw, they use one of the smallest gauge needles possible; a "butterfly" needle which normally only requires a single stick. But, if you are dehydrated or they find it difficult to locate a vein, or they try a stick and the vein collapses, the original nurse will not do a second stick. Instead, she will pass on the duty to one of the other nurses. We've been to this location for blood draws so often that most of the staff here now recognize my wife and me and greet us by our names. The Lab promptly sends their report(s) to the the office of the doctor who wrote the order for the testing. Therefore, if your doctor orders a blood draw for testing, this could well be the fastest, and most patient-focused, and convenient labs you can find.
