This comes from both first hand experience as a patient and comments from Ohio health staff and staff physicians. Whoever decided this change would be positive or non-disruptive to patients should be fired. The transition was rushed to the point it makes one wonder if any forthought was put into the process (other than the money savings). Unfortunately, phlebotomists and lab techs are finding they will be worse off compared to their tenure at Ohio health To be clear, the folks actually doing the work (eg phlebotomists and lab tech) are wonderful and doing the best they can under enormous stress and daily backlogs due to the poor execution of this change

She had been talking loudly for long time about not getting the supplies she needed. Then, instead of trying to be helpful she just shook her head the whole time while telling us that since it was now Quest Diagnostics and not OhioHealth she could not get on MyChart to see what lab tests were ordered. Not only not courteous but should not be in health service as she doesn't want to help people.

We like that the Lab is rarely busy and we can get in and out quickly. Staff are very professional, yet patient, kind, friendly and quick to perform their tasks at hand. Usually, with a blood draw, they use one of the smallest gauge needles possible; a "butterfly" needle which normally only requires a single stick. But, if you are dehydrated or they find it difficult to locate a vein, or they try a stick and the vein collapses, the original nurse will not do a second stick. Instead, she will pass on the duty to one of the other nurses. We've been to this location for blood draws so often that most of the staff here now recognize my wife and me and greet us by our names. The Lab promptly sends their report(s) to the the office of the doctor who wrote the order for the testing. Therefore, if your doctor orders a blood draw for testing, this could well be the fastest, and most patient-focused, and convenient labs you can find.

Dr Kaylor and his staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The experience went well and I am pleased with the level of detail provided in the pre op screening and post op report afterwards. Also, I arrived about 20 minutes early, got paperwork done, and the doctor was running early as well so that was a nice little side perk. I have not gone for my follow up yet but I am quite confident that the quality and professionalism will continue. I waited to the end to mention that the girl that checked me in the lobby was polite but I was not real impressed with her. Don't let that keep you from getting good service ever were else in the process. I recommend this dr and this practice!

I had been a patient with Ohio Gastro Group and moved out of state to Colorado. What should have…read morebeen a simple referral process turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. Initially, I was told they could not provide a referral because I had not been seen within the past year. After I left a review expressing my concerns, they changed their position and said they would send a referral--but only for an office visit, not for the colonoscopy that had been recommended. The inconsistency is what makes this so frustrating. Ohio Gastro Group stated they could not refer me for a colonoscopy because I had not been seen recently enough, yet they were more than willing to schedule that same colonoscopy at their own facility without requiring an office visit first. If I am medically appropriate for the procedure in Ohio, why am I suddenly not appropriate for a referral to have the exact same procedure performed near my new home? My grandfather died from colon cancer, so timely screening is important to me. By refusing to provide a proper referral, I am now facing a 3-6 month wait to establish care with a new gastroenterologist in Colorado before I can even schedule the procedure. Meanwhile, I could have had the colonoscopy completed within days if I traveled back to Ohio and paid their office. After I posted multiple negative reviews, the office appeared to try to make things right by saying they would send a referral for a colonoscopy. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. Instead of sending an actual referral, they simply forwarded the report from my previous colonoscopy. My new provider could not use those records as a referral, leaving me right back where I started. This only added more delays and frustration to an already unnecessarily difficult process. The entire experience gave the impression of a disorganized and uncoordinated office. Poor communication, inconsistent policies, and sending the wrong documentation instead of the requested referral created additional work for both me and my new healthcare providers. I expected much better continuity of care from a medical practice when relocating out of state, especially for a procedure they themselves recommended.

This isn't a place you get to choose to use, you have to use them if you go through ORM. It would be wonderful if the people working there had any understanding of what we've been through and why we have to deal with them. All of the staff were so nice and friendly here. It made the act of getting tested so much easier…read moreas it was my first time. The wait wasn't very long either; they moved very efficiently. The sign up (for first time visitors) was also really easy and fairly quick process done through a kiosk. Overall, my visit here was a 10/10 and I will absolutely recommend AHF to any friends or family that might need it
