This was a great experience, if you utilize the appointment system and make an appointment. I was taken in within 15 minutes of my appointment time. However, there were a ton of walk-ins who all seemed very angry to be sitting in the lobby waiting. For future reference if you make an appointment, you won't be sitting there all day. The phlebotomists were outstanding And doing the best they could for being shortstaffed as is everyone in healthcare. Wish there was a negative option. I arrived early, followed the check in process for online check in. I arrived early but was able to check in 30 minutes prior to my appointment . Response was to wait for a text when the technician was ready. Finally got the text message 32 minutes later, walked in the door within the minute I received the text. Waited an additional 30 minutes. I finally was able to ask someone if I could reschedule and they finally took my information. Ten minutes later I was finally taken back for the quick blood draw. No organization, no concern for patients--good at ignoring the line waiting. Avoid this place!!!! read more

I made an appointment, was early, checked in via cell and was texted when ready, came in to the poorly marked "check-in" area where there were several people ahead of me, then spoke to the person at the front as soon as was possible, and she proceeded to act as though I did not come in as soon as she texted me. I went to the location on North Dale Mabry and I am very disappointed in the service. When you call initially you can't even speak to a damn person it's all automated. When I got inside the lady at the front desk didn't even greet me, just had a stank look on her face. She proceeds to tell me to sign in on the kiosk. About 15mins later another women comes to the front to tell everyone that they are completely booked for the day and that if you are a walk in you will have to wait 2 possibly 3 hours which is completely unacceptable considering when you call the automated system says you don't need a damn appointment. Had I been able to talk to someone prior to I could of made other arrangements. I am pissed. As far as the company get your shit together. Hire people that enjoy working with people. This is a terrible place! The office manager needs a class in customer service. She was rude and nasty. When I walked in with my special needs daughter because she needed lab work, we had to leave after listening to her being nasty to another patient who had been standing at the bathroom for 15 minutes. He was begging to pee. She was nasty and kept arguing with him because she was busy. She called security on him for no reason at all. I got up and told security about her being so nasty, 0and she had the nerve to tell me to shut up and stay out. I asked her name, and she said she did not have to tell me shit. The security guard told me that she is the office manager at 2727 W MLK in Tampa. I left because my daughter was having a meltdown. People who go there are sick and stressed. They shouldn't have to wait there and listen to an employee be nasty. This is not the first time that I have experienced this. I come here all of the time to get my blood work done for my medication. To be safe anywhere I go, I always make an appointment so it's never a hassle to wait for my appointment. I see a lot of these reviews talking about the nastiness of the doctors, honestly I think they're just really understaffed, and that's everywhere I go in the medical field. Dentists are the same way. Anyways, I don't have a fear of needles but I Definitely Do Not Like Them. They make it really easy and really fast, and for the most part, painless! I went to the 10500 Ulmerton Rd Suite 746. Needed a TB test for work. The nice nurse Dominque was unable to get any blood and they were getting ready to close for lunch in 5 mins. I told her I would return at 1PM when they reopened after lunch. When I returned, the other lab person who was there had TAKEN MY TUBE AND PAPERWORK AND USED IT ON ANOTHER PATIENT! Then I was told it was their last tube. I was told to go to another location if I wanted it drawn. I didn't want to waste time sitting and waiting in a lobby for hours at a new location so I asked the staff to call ahead so I wouldn't have to wait. (seems fair to ask) Apparently NO TB TESTS ARE AVAILABLE BY LABCORE IN THE TAMPA AREA! Now my job may be pushed back for two weeks because of this. read more

Went in for some routine bloodwork. I chose this location despite the bad reviews. Now I understand why they are so low. First of all, the directory was not helpful at all. There is a computer available to assist you in locating the appropriate office. (Which is awesome.) However, once you find out what building you are looking for (for example, "Lab Corp - suite 200" it doesn't tell you where said building is. So it's semi-pointless? Is it upstairs? Is it downstairs? Etc. The only reason I was able to find the building was because parking for Lab Corp is typically on the second floor. (It was closed today for maintenance) So, common sense led me to believe lab Corp would be next to its own parking lot. Once I got in things moved quickly. (Nice.) The staff seemed uncaring and I did not feel particularly welcomed. Once my named was called I passed through the doorway and no one told me where to go? How am I supposed to know? I kindly asked a women "sorry, I'm not sure where I'm supposed to go." And she proceeds by pointing down the hallway full of doors and says "down there." Okay...? I then had to ask specifically which door. She was nice but still....this is not professional. Bloodwork was quick and painless. About what you'd expect. Overall it wasn't a bad or good experience. I got what I needed done but I wouldn't recommend this facility to a friend or family when there's better options available. read more

Five stars for a lab? Franko, surely you have lost your mind. But wait, this lab is just minutes from work so fasting is not a problem, I just bop over there. They open at 7 AM, this is early enough for us folks who need to get it over before we feed our face. It's never too crowded, yet today there was a fair amount of people there. Stood in line approximately 15 minutes. As soon as I sat down I was called in. Staff were banging out patients as soon as the paperwork was handed in. The phlebotomist (vampire) was awesome. One stick and I was filling those test tubes like nobody's business. One stick, no fooling around fishing for those elusive veins like some vampires I've had. (I'm sure they love being called that). Anyway this location is super handy for me, on MLK right next to St Jo's and the staff is first rate. read more

I am extremely disappointed by this Labcorp location. I felt unsafe throughout my entire visit, and believe that the staff at this location need to be properly trained on safety and sanitation protocols. Firstly, there was no one monitoring the lobby for proper social distancing or safety protocols. Several patients were not wearing masks appropriately (under nose, hanging off of chin, etc.) and were never acknowledged. I elected to schedule an appointment to minimize my risk, but still had to wait over 20 minutes in the crowded lobby to hear my name be called to come back. What is the point of offering the "wait where you're comfortable service" if one still has to spend extended periods of time in crowded areas. Additionally, when I was finally brought back to a blood draw room, the room looked dirty and I was worried that it hadn't been cleaned recently. In fact, when the tech entered I asked her if the seat had been cleaned and she stated that she didn't know, because she was working in another room, then suggested we move there. This is a medical facility. We are in the middle of a pandemic. Why are staff not certain that facilities have been disinfected between patients. At a minimum, the blood draw chairs should be cleaned with sanitizer between patients. I have been exceedingly cautious in regards to COVID-19, for example, I still choose to not even enter a grocery stores, let alone go out to restaurants or other venues. Yet, I am now concerned that my health has been compromised by what should have been a routine medical procedure. I don't mind the long wait times (1 hour with an appointment), but I cannot accept that a medical facility would put their patients' health at risk by not using or enforcing common sense safety protocols. read more

You have to check in on both with an ipad, but Labcorp makes you put in so much more information; it is as if you worked there. The staff is cold and indifferent. For some reason I was given really small & rolling veins. They get it first time every time! At some places 3 strikes and I walk. Here they are very professional, courteous and good with a blood draw. I have had no problems & if you make an appointment you are in and out in a flash. I made an appointment as was recommended to me by my doctor and I was in and out of this place in 15-20 minutes. I overheard one person who did not have an appointment say he was waiting over an hour to be seen. Appointments are super easy to make online which is great. I had a blood draw taken here and they were great. Probably one of the most painless blood draws ever and from myself and what I overheard from a few others in the room, they seem to be able to find the vein right the first time and avoid multiple tries which is a problem with another place I visited. read more

The location is difficult to find, only one out of 3 elevators gets you to the second floor where this office is. The staff act irritated and impatient, their website does NOT publish schedules for specific services. I came for a routine employment drug screening but even though the office opens at 7am, (also conflicting with website info), they don't start the drug screening tests until 9am. So if you are hoping to get the test done before work and not be late, forget that idea. The check-in kiosks are the only cool thing about these offices. Otherwise it's dirty, frustrating and full of outdated information regarding the schedule and office hours. I would only come here if I absolutely had no other choice. It seems that all of the Tampa offices for this company are the same, there has to be a better option!!! read more

I don't get the negative reviews. I do hate that their info regarding time opening on a Saturday everywhere are wrong. From calling saying it's 8AM and their sign at front saying at 7AM, but they open on Saturdays at 6:30 and last appointment at 1:30pm according to the lab tech that took my draw. Place is located on the 2nd floor at the Tampa Surgery building. Lots of parking and there's a security guy in front to tell you where t o go. Place is very clean and nice modern decor and fancy looking, offers coffee and water and tv that played CNN. Check in was fast with their auto check in, just place your driver's License or state ID on the scanner, or manually put it and choose if insurance or you're paying out of pocket. Then sit and wait for receptionist to call you to verify your paperwork and then lab tech calls your name to do the procedure (I did blood draw). I was worried because there was like 20 people there already when I got there because I thought they opened at 8AM. I got in at 8AM and out at 8:25AM. read more

Waiting room is noisy with several people on their cell phones either talking loud in Spanish or listening to youtubes on their devices even though it says no cell phone use in waiting room. Let's start with my appointment for a preemployment drug screen was at 8:30 & I stood in line until 9am when they told me I was in the wrong line and acted as if this was something that I should have known. Signage might be helpful. They were obviously not happy to be at work & were rude. I am sorry that you don't like your job, I really am, I don't like standing in line for 30 minutes when I apparently did not need to but I said good morning, looked at you, and smiled...maybe you could do the same? In short front desk ladies are RUDE AS HELL (If you hate your job don't work there! ) and gave me a hard time about my insurance card because I had a picture of it on my cell phone and it wasn't hard copy since I'm not the primary insurance holder. NEVER had any problems presenting it or getting medical visits covered until now. I told them I could email them the card and then have it printed out and they said it needed to be faxed. WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?! ITS 2017. They also wouldn't take my insurance as a form of payment because I couldn't fax it to them....so I had to pay out of pocket since I wasn't going to fast another day and have to do this all over again. Then the receptionist who was rude to me pricked me with an extra large needle(out of spite ).. not the usual size needle for drawing blood and I have good veins that are easily accessible.
