My name is Miles Barraza McCain and this is my story. Before the beginning of my injury I played the piano, I danced, I ran, I loved to talk, I was a photographer and I was an athlete. I had a situation happen where I was under so much stress that built up over about 7 years and my body broke down and I became paralyzed in my sleep. Initially I only couldn't feel my right side and my left side burned like crazy. Then all my sensation in my body was just gone. I was in and out of emergency rooms because of episodes I would have that cause me to stop breathing, lose eyesight, function in my face, deafness and just not able to move my body at all. This was the most scariest 4 months of my life. First, doctors didn't know what was going on, then psychiatrists said it was "Conversion Disorder" (A mental condition in which a person has blindness, paralysis, or other nervous system symptoms that cannot be explained by medical evaluation). I saw a bunch of counselors that gave me tools to let go of my stress. Then May 11th, I let everything out, all the pain that I bottled in years prior. Then the next day my dad took my brother and I to the park, me being in a wheelchair because of not being able to feel my legs. At the park my dad and my little brother played catch with a football. I had never wanted to get up and run so bad in my life. So I tried. The first time I couldn't do it, so I didn't try again. I waited awhile before I wanted to try again but I just couldn't. I cried a little bit. Then my dad wanted me to try again. And so I did. This time with his help he was able to get me up and somehow I was able to walk but I felt like a baby deer. I took a couple of steps and I took off. It felt weird to run again but I was doing it. After that day I only had gotten better. I was able to function fully after about a week and I was so happy. The only issue I had after the fact was that I didn't feel pain, physically. I didn't realize it for some time but I figured it out when I put my hand over a lighter trying to be funny for my friends and I realized couldn't feel the heat of it. But it left a dark burn mark on my palm. I had more tests run, more MRIs and more "I don't know what I can call this" from doctors. I wasn't affected by it in anyway but I noticed I had bruises or scratches that I didn't even know were there. After more physical therapy appointments and more counseling we just had no more money to give for these appointments that we got nothing out of. Since then I have been fine but about a month or so ago my mom wanted me to go see the chiropractor she goes to. I was okay with it but I just thought it was gonna be another failed attempt to figure out my issue. Dr. Labrado was very welcoming my first appointment, and when he showed me my xrays and explained to me what was really going on I wanted to cry. I have waited for years to try and figure out what was wrong with me and all I needed was to be adjusted. He told me a nerve somewhere was being pinched. I also found out that my spine was offset and one side of my waist was higher than the other. Dr. Labrado has helped me so far that I am now able to feel pain in my legs (It sounds bad but I haven't been able to feel pain). Being adjusted was probably the best thing I have ever felt after my paralysis and I can't thank him enough for making me better after I have been back and fourth to so many other professionals who had no idea what was going on. Very personable and make sure you answer his questions truthfully and in detail. That way he can help you better and if it for an accident this will help with settlements. I've been suffering from sciatic pain for almost 3 years now. Prior to Dr. Labrado, I was seeing another chiropractor but the sciatic pain has never gone away. The focus was more on my upper Cervical and my posture. Soon as I switched to Dr. Labrado, his main focus was the entire spine from top to bottom. With X-rays taken, he analyzed where the problem is and began adjustments to help ease the sciatic pain. He has this crazy Thor like hammer as a massager to help relax the muscles in tension! Dr. Labrado has been my doctor for a little bit over a month I came in there because It hurt to move my arm due to a pain in my shoulder and after taking X-rays discovered how it wasn't just my shoulder but my neck and my back were suffering because of just the way I stand and do things on a daily basis.. he showed me the right way to stand so I don't hurt my back or my neck.. after a little over a month the pain in my shoulder is gone the posture I have in a daily basis has helped me to not have a back pain all the time and just over a little period of time my body is not as exhausted anymore.. I have been a patient of Dtr. Labrado for a couple of years now. I had been going to a chiropractor in Sacramento and wanted a chiropractor that was in Elk Grove. I also was becoming dissatisfied with the chiropractor I was going to. I like that Doctor Labrado is flexible and can always see me the day I call and want to schedule an appointment. I tried scheduling appointments in advance and it doesn't work for me. One time I was in so much pain the doctor saw me on a weekend day. Was not expecting that and was so happy. I am so very thankful for Dr. Labrado, an excellent Chiropractor! He has helped me to stand up straight, diminished my pain, and is careful and very thorough. This includes an x-ray for diagnosis, his machines to help resolve issues, his maneuvers for adjustments and shows interest concern with his patients by listening to us and keeping on top of what our body is going through. I had chronic back pain that was at a level to where I was experiencing limited mobility. Not able to walk any reasonable distance without excruciating pain. I have been seeing Dr. Labrado for about two months now. I went to him because I have been experiencing problems with my neck that were causing headaches and a great deal of pressure on my skull, as well as daily choking episodes. I had never experienced anything like it. Dr. Labrado took great care to explain the X-rays to me and we worked out a plan for the first month. I hurt my shoulder and was in constant pain, experiencing discomfort day and night. I went to my Dr.'s office. Dr. Labrado is fantastic! I am 39 and have old sports injuries. He took the time to x-ray my spine and customized the work that needed to be done.
