Since he was already there, I asked him to look at a bathroom sink where the stopper wouldn't release, and he replaced it. Unfortunately, I was charged $530 for a visit that lasted only about 30 minutes total. The bathroom sink was already taken apart, and because I was traveling the next morning, I felt I had little choice but to approve the repair. I raised concerns via phone about the charge immediately after the work was completed, but no one followed up. I have also requested a detailed, itemized invoice multiple times over the past two weeks and have received no response. I had a disappointing experience with Jack & Jill Plumbing. After the installation, the tub spout did not function properly. I contacted the company, and while they did return, they did not adequately investigate or fix the issue and declined further repair. I ultimately had to hire a second licensed plumber, who confirmed the original installation was done incorrectly and required additional work to fix. I made a good-faith effort to resolve this directly with the company before escalating, but was unable to reach a resolution. I am so upset I don't know where to began, Bryce whom seem like a very likeable guy, we went over some prices and solutions for my basement drain that keep backing up in the basement, upon agreeing that the solution would be to go with the better option of $1300. with a discount of maybe $300. , So into the project they found that I have a trap in the plumbline which would have to be dug up and replace the piping. The $1100. only went for the snaking and clean out with no guarantee that it wouldn't back up the next day, and they offer no warranty, so I would end up paying another $1100. because they don't give warranties, I am so ferries, I feel used and quick stupid . Update today 9/28 now I'm stuck with cleaning water in the garage because clearly his cup theory doesn't work. Also called this afternoon was told a manager would get back to me shortly and it's been hours what a complete joke I need an experienced plumber, beyond upset and pissed is an understatement Thank goodness for the manager. All I wanted was to ensure the pipe for the washer drain was okay and for the hot and cold water hose connections to come off, the prior home owners seem like they couldn't take them off and they were rusted on. Cayden told my husband that just dump a few cups of water down the pipe and if it goes down then it should be fine. Odd but okay ? Also he was going to charge $1k to fully connect a washer ?!?! I can do that myself. Also it was going to be $350 to remove the washer hot and cold hoses and attach them. I said on speaker phone that well I guess we can try it ourselves. But I did call for you guys to remove them. Because we had the tools but it was so hard to get them off. His manger said just to take them off and charge us for the visit. Thank goodness for the manager, but then he said to my husband if you leave a review I get $40. I think this kid is super green and makes $$ off of services. I think this is a training issue and he needs to be retrained. But I enjoyed talking to the lady who I booked with! She was kind. We had 3 shut off valves replaced under kitchen sink. A few days later after dishwasher was installed I tried to put items back under sink where they previously stored. The items WILL NOT FIT. The new 'PEX' piping that was installed was placed about 5.5" from the base floor. Nothing will fit under the 5.5" so I have lost this whole area that was previously used for storage. The 'PEX' should have been higher or on the base where the old piping was! If you use this company check their work to be sure you haven't LOST valuable storage space. read more

I paid approximately $1,100 to have a bathroom clog addressed, which included opening a hole in my ceiling. Shortly afterward, the same bathroom clogged again. When I called because the problem had returned, I was under the impression that the visit would be covered under the warranty. Instead, I was told I needed a new toilet for about $1,100. When I declined, the price suddenly dropped to $900, which immediately made me question the original quote. After declining again, I was told I owed around $75 for a diagnostic fee, despite being told on the phone that the warranty would cover the visit. I understand that plumbing issues can be complex, and sometimes additional repairs are necessary. What I cannot overlook is paying over $1,000 for a repair that did not resolve the original issue, followed by inconsistent pricing and conflicting information about warranty coverage. They installed a new submersible sump pump and 2' section of 1 1/2" PVC pipe into an existing exit pipe. $1300. For a job that should have been no more than $800. The pump is $300 and pipe $30. Where do I start? Their website says emergency services avaialble. Nope. I called 2 times for 2 different emergencies (one with water leaking out of the ceiling!) and no one was available. Then, I called to have someone come by to give a quote for repairing gas leaks in the basement. I asked them to have someone bring a sniffer so they could tell us if we had any other undetected leaks. The tech got there, gave a quote to repair the leaks we had, but did not bring his little machine (as I requested) to sniff out other leaks. So I had to pay the fee for them to come but they did not even do all that I asked. Lastly - on this yelp page it asks how you can save $69 today? I can tell you how - they won't charge you if you have the work done THAT day. I don't like companies that do that - try to push you into doing that to save a few bucks. So far I am not impressed with them. we called them on Thursday and they said they set an appointment for yesterday (Friday). I get a phone call an hour and half AFTER my scheduled time telling me there is an emergency and they can't com. the woman I spoke to was rude and didn't seem to care that I am not able to take a shower or flush my toiler. I work in customer service. if I gave a customer the attitude that she gave me I would probably lose my job. she said that I would be scheduled today from 10 to 3. considering the inconvenience of rescheduling one would think that they would make me a priority but here it is almost 11 and nothing. They caused my basement to flood and now they won't return my calls. My sump was having problems draining. The tech came over and said he fixed it. The next night it rained and I woke up to my whole basement flooded. I paid $1500 for them to flood my basement. I had to hire another plumber to fix everything and get the sump working again. They said they would refund me but now I've called 4 times and they won't answer me. If you are easily convinced that their over pricing is worthwhile, then you may give them a good review. Not us. We had Adam come by on a Friday to look at our toilet that was running, our sink that wasn't draining well, and our tub that was dripping. He turned the faucet in the tub harder and it stopped running! He told us that i order to fix the sink, we needed a new one, and he fidgeted with the toilet until it stopped running. He only charged us $74 which seemed okay. But a couple of days later the toilet was running again and the tub was dripping. So, on Monday we had him come back. This time he said we needed a new toilet and tub. He said the toilet needed a new fill valve that was impossible to find because the toilet was a Toto and their parts were rarely available, and the new tub would cost $5800. The tub drip is minor, but the toilet running is so bad that the Monroe Co Water Authority had sent us a letter telling us that we needed to look into it. With Adam in front of me, I called the contractor friend who had originally installed the toilet and Adam changed his tune a bit. He called his boss about getting the part for the toilet and learned that not only was one available at Home Depot, but he actually had one in his truck. Then he told me he could replace the fill valve for $250. When I balked, he asked me what I wanted to spend. I told him that I had replaced fill valves on my own for under $100. So her changed his offer to $200. I asked him if he would discount me the $69 I had paid on Friday, and he said no, so the total bill would be $269 plus tax. On a humorous and curious note, he also asked me if I had a wrench he could borrow! I then told him I wanted to wait to find out from my friend if he had any other suggestions, and he said that would be fine, but he'd need to charge me an additional $69 for a service visit that day. He added that if I refused to pay that, then our association would be over. I opted to not pay him the additional $69 and will wait for a better solution. I have since looked up the cost of fill valves and they are available at Home Depot or Amazon for $28. My conclusion is that he/Jack and Jill are less than honest, manipulative, and over priced. I have to agree with all the others that posted negative, one-star reviews. I had an issue with a clogged toilet and shower and already knew from a previous experience that the problem was due to tree roots growing into the septic line, preventing the normal flow of water. The technician they sent over was just a little too, shall we say, casual in his approach to dealing with a customer. He made several negative comments about my house and asked lots of non-plumbing related questions like: "you play guitar?"..."are you married?"..."that's a big TV"..."you have a lot of books". Dude, mind your own business and stop commenting on stuff or my life. At one point, I had a conference call and he just stood there looking at me, expecting me to stop everything (the right thing would've been to start working and come back a few moments later). The pitch goes like this: they present three options to fix the problem. Of course, the least expense one they don't recommend, because it's just going to happen again (so why is it an option?). The 'best' option is astronomically expensive and naturally, this is what they hard sell you on. I went with the middle option and he tried his best to persuade me to rethink my decision to no avail. After he cleared the roots out from the line, he came back in to complain on how hard it was and to let me know "it's just going to happen again and I'll be back in six months, you should've went with the best option"...if it does, I certainly won't be calling Jack and Jill Plumbing. He then expected a tip. I tip everyone that does work for me, but not him. I couldn't wait to get him out of the house. When I hire someone, I don't expect them to act so familiar with me or insult my living space either. Ripped off by Jack & Jill on 6/30/25. I had backed up sewage in my toilet & shower.The diagnostic was done per "plumber" would cost between $700 -900. If he had to change pipes it could cost over several thousand dollars. My son who knows plumbing was on vacation, I am 69, disabled, so I had trust him. The guy flushed the pipe behind my wash machine saying I had a lint problem. Never flushed or snaked out the toilet. Was @ my house 20 minutes & charged me $732 gave me a 30 day guarantee. I was told it was a paperless system they never sent me the receipt. I called & asked for it. Told my son what happened. The toilet started gurgling & spewing again within 2 weeks. This time my son called & spoke to someone who insisted that a diagnostic needed to ​be redone. My son ended up talking to the owner who said he couldn't understand why he didn't snake the line. Assured different plumber to be sent. Same guy came this time cleaned the hair out of my sink & again did not go near the toilet. I even told him my son says you need to snake the toilet. Nothing further done. Toilet continued to gurgle up. I hired another plumbing company to snake out lines & had it jetted out. I don't think the man they sent out was even a plumber.​ read more

Mark diagnosed our problem (outside) and repaired the bad underground drainage line the very next day. He saved my husband and I over $10,000 and a lot of disruption to our life. Matt came when our downspout was overflowing and determined that they would need to use their truck with a jetter the next day. We paid a $600 deposit (half of estimate to unclog underground pipes assuming they aren't broken) with the understanding that we would forfeit it if we eventually went with someone else, after determining with the jetter whether the pipes are clogged or broken. The next day it was determined that the pipes were broken, we decided to go with them, they provided an estimate, and upon our request, they deducted the $600 off the estimate. However, I requested an itemized copy of the estimate, and the underground photos and videos from the excavation for our insurance company, which my wife saw them take. For 3 straight days, the admin who picked up the phone (5 times in those 3 days), the admin who received my call said she would relay my message to the manager, but the manager never called back. Then I asked my wife to call, the admin said the same thing to her, but the manager called her. When my wife asked for the itemized estimate and the underground photos and videos on OUR property to give to our insurance company, the manager (wish I knew his name so I could put it on here) simply said he has decided not to service us. So much ego for just asking for the information we deserved. And leaving us in limbo after we invested $600 in their service, which they didn't even return to us. A week later, we found a company who would fix the issue for less than 2/3 of what they quoted - so them not servicing us turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I hired them to install a shower valve, decorative plate and a glue-on shower wall I provided. They had to come to my house five times, three more than was necessary to fix easily avoidable errors. Each time I had to wait during a three-hour window for them to arrive and be home while they worked costing me many hours of my time. Their plumber only used spray foam to fill in large gaps in the drywall behind the shower wall, which is contra-indicated and will necessitate me buying a new shower wall to have installed by another company. They likely used the wrong caulk for the job, as well, and applied it sloppily. They also removed and threw away the decorative plate which would not have been necessary to use if the shower wall had been installed on the day the shower valve was installed. They agreed to refund half of the money I paid, which I have not received. They have not responded to my complaints to the BBB or the NYS Attorney General's Office and have left me no choice but to sue them in small claims court. I will gladly remove this review if they honor their promise to refund me half the cost of the job. read more

They called Jack and Jill and a salesman came out and showed them a 40 gal, 50 gal, and an 80 gal. Long story short he recommended the 80 gal for 2 adults and 2 babies at the tune of $4000., these kids trusted the company to be fair. This exact water heater is $1400. at Lowe's how can this company justify the price difference? The owner tried telling me that they hooked up the water heater. If that was the case it would have been operable but nooo they needed to hire an electrician to run new wiring (another expense) I tried talking to the manager and then the owner who not only refused to replace the 80 gal for a 50 gal or work with us on making things right but he also hung up on me. Having some issues w/water backing up in the tub when I'm taking a shower. The issue started on Tuesday, was told by Jack & Jill they couldn't get to us until Friday between 12pm & 2:30pm. Friday 2:35pm rolls around someone from J & J calls & said; "We need to reschedule because they had another emergency at another location. All our techs are at that location." We were told Saturday they'd be at our place at 10:30am. 10:35, no Jack & Jill plumbing. I call, they apologize & say they'll have the tech call me. Our appointment got moved to 12pm - 2pm. 2:30pm, no Jack & Jill plumbing & no phone call all day from tech. Call again. Was told some tech named Paul pushed our time further back a 3rd time to 5pm Saturday. At this point it's obvious they don't want to do the work & have no intention of coming. I call & ask to speak to a manager was told "The best I can do is take a message & someone will contact you". Like they were supposed to already & never did was my reply. So, as a result of them jerking us around for 3days, we're now back to square one & have to find a plumber. And thnx so much for leaving us hanging until the weekend! Now we have to drag it into next week! This is not how a business is run. If you're unable or unwilling to honor your commitment to keep a simple appointment, don't schedule one.
